I finally picked up my preorder of Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and I never thought I'd say this, but Reg may actually have a point.
Being unable to perform a basic attack without an (albeit very common) item just feels like bad design to me.

D: (Someonepleasebackmeuphere~) This is coming from a guy who played and enjoyed all of the Paper Mario/Mario and Luigi games except for Bowser's Inside Story. I just feel like I'm using up all of the basic stickers on the foes early in the level and there aren't really any enemies worth wasting Slaphammers, Eekhammers, or shiny stickers on yet.

I just feel like I'm using up all of the basic stickers on the foes early in the level and there aren't really any enemies worth wasting Slaphammers, Eekhammers, or shiny stickers on yet. You get used to it quickly. Plus, levels aren't even a thing, so I can legitimately run from every battle and not have to worry about anything. XD

In the meantime, I ought to take today to lay out everything I need to buy tomorrow. It's the only full day off I've gotten in a long time, so I need to make sure I can buy and do everything for Christmas then.
