Some social workers need to do their job alot better.
Baby P was just 17 months old when he was murdered by his mother and step father - suffering a broken back, 8 broken ribs and 50 other injuries
Here is a reconstruction of his facial injuries I got from The Times newspaper
Reconstruction
4 social workers and 1 doctor were involved in the case and over 60 visits were made to the home before the toddlers death.
Sharon Shoesmith - She reviewed her child service department and passed the buck onto a doctor. She also claimed Baby P's case was 'independant.'
Gillie Christou (Child protection register) - APPROVED Baby P return to the mother DESPITE her being on bail for assualting him!!
Maria Ward - Fooled by chocolate smears covering his facial injuries, and even saying the child appeared 'well' 4 days before he died.
Sylvia Henry - Also made the decision Baby P could return to his mother. And in a previous case of a child being murdered by the parents she lied
DR. Sabah Al Zayyat - ASTONISHINGLY failed to recognize his broken spine despite examining him.
Now, I think these people should definatly be sacked for negligance at the least! But these people are continuing to work to this day. These are the people who are supposed to be protecting children. At the least they should be sacked. What are your opinions??
