Her first motion was to sideglance Malik, and then Kieran...well there was two, before thinking on the whole of it all. Hm, a lot. But this was interesting...seemed the dark version of her that once ruled here had her reputation far proceeding her. And when Piper herself had stepped into her darker's selves shoes and turned the tables...well seemed it spurred other things to light like this. "Met plenty...though most of them are dead now seeing that the colliseum collapsed in on itself. Anyone not quick on thier feet didn't get a second chance." And Malik more or less slaughtered the other half. Though okay she had to ask something. "And what happens, when you are the best? Should I indeed tell you of those more or less alive."
"I do what I can." But a pat to Fianna's hand once more and a look to Malik in that way that he did before giving a tug on Fianna. "Well if you'll excuse us, I do believe that we have someplace to be." Thus heading outside with her and to the stables.

Arthur watched Piper and the others phyiscally respond to what he had asked of. Malik just rasied an eyebrow at him but Arthur had a feeling that there was more going on in that man's mind, he had to be careful around him. When the young swordsman listened to what Piper had to say he sighed deeply. Half of them just gone and most of them must of went into hiding, thats just perfect.
Sighing again he piched the brow of his nose with his one hand while the other hand just laied across his stomach and gripped his side. When he heard Piper's question he looked back at her while he placed his hands at his waist. "Well its pretty simple I will still train everyday, teach those who want to be teached by me and if someone wants to challenge me then I'll accept." he placed his arms acorss his chest and looked at the two with his one eye lowered. "It's what I must do is that a problem?" he asked with a calm voice.

Malik had the slightest hint of a smile now. big dreams and plans this one had, eh? His family...or adopted family..had certainly trained him to follow in their footsteps.

Ah so finally blue boy spoke, and he scoffed at his family name too, b*****d. Arthur's one eye lowered into a small glare as he looked at Malik, there was a calm still for about a minute before he spoke. "I know I am a elf sir and I know I have centuries and millenias over years and decades but when I have grown up with something like this and have become to know it well and respect it well and love it, its just not something easy to just give up."
Arthur paused for a minute and took a steady breath. "I know for a fact that you sir also love something like I do now let me ask you this, will you just give it up so simpliy for something else?" he asked sternly as he kept his arms crossed. Arthur knew what he was talking about, he ment the person right next to blue boy, but he only ment it in his defence he never ment at all to offened Malik; the last thing he wanted to do was get into a fight.

"Pull it from inside themselves?" When she used her own magic she called it forth from deep inside her. It was always there, the power running through her veins and at any point she could pull some of it to heal or bless or set fire to a dark forest if need be. Judging by his actions, he was pulling the energy from inside himself and setting it elsewhere, causing sparks as well. Voices caused her ears to twitch but she ignored them concentrating fully on Sevilin, "Are you planning on doing some really big runing or something and you need extra? Trying to gather yours for some reason...what?" The thought briefly flitted through her mind that he should be teaching her this, how to harness her own energy, bring it to the forefront so she could use it whenever she needed it. That was his job after all, to train her to be able to rune. She couldn't rune without using her special little agent because he hadn't taught her how yet. Didn't seem like it would be very hard. Idly she scratched at a spot on her wrist and then stared at it. That felt funny...

Well someone seemed horribly dismayed now didn't they? Though his answer was surprising as well...sounded human. And well that would of been strange if Malik and Arthur hadn't of followed up on it all. So then...raised by humans...not an uncommon thing, well not on the planes she had been to before she met up with Malik. "Not that I scoff your ideals or your goal, I merely ask in knowing that when one reaches the top they often question what is left for them. Sad to see lives thrown away from one thinking they are of no more worth." Though look at that, tension spike right there as Arthur insinuated such a thing as Malik more or less dumping Piper on the road side for something else. That wasn't the wisest thing to do...not to mention she didn't appreciate being used as an example. And no...she wasn't mentioning Malik was champion of that tournament or that his sword skills were exceptional...protective tendencies.
"No...just want a visible measurement of how much I'm storing for when I need it and it's not enough to my liking." A wave of his hand and all that energy fuss and traces disappeared. "It's like magics...or a more tangible feeling to it...whether it is tangible or not." Closing his eyes he took a breath and his posture slumped some as he raised his arms and held them out, palms up and fingers stretched and splayed. Was he breathing?

Arthur sighed a little and closed his one eye for a moment, things seem to be going rather well, all he wanted was a little information and instead he gets his way of life run over by blue boy and he just probably pissed off the only person who can tell him anything.
He paused for a minute to rethink what Piper said to him, he had a feeling getting the information was going to be hard but not this hard. With another sigh he looked at her with a stern look. "First off let me get this straight, I don't kill if I win I let my opponent live so they know I have defeated them and if they ever want to they can come back and challenge me again. My family taught me better than to just kill someone in hoping to be the best. Second even with what I said earlier I may just also settle down and raise a family, I don't plan on being alone for the rest of my life." Arthur leaned a bit on his left leg, he was hoping to get what he wanted but it seemed like he was going to be here for quite awhile.

Piper threw up a hand in verbal defensive gesture before Malik even got the chance to start laying into him for however many infractions he was pulling up in his head. "Don't be so quick to judge by thoughts and words, lord Murdock." Her voice was kept in that calm sweet tone that she often held, more so made sure she had in such situations as these when things could be misinturperted. "I never mentioned killing...and as being a surface elf yourself, raised by humans or not, you know that that is not the way of surface elves, to kill just because we can or 'have the right to'. I merely referenced into the waisting of perhaps your own, and even then I speak hypothetical terms." Hey she didn't like being misinturperted any more than Arthur did.

Arthur paused for a moment, damn it he took that the wrong way, god was he an idiot. "Sorry for then going off like that Miss Silverfeather I just don't like it how some people always take shots at how I go about with my life." Well Arthur was in the same situation before, he had let some people know that he was an elf and they got into the whole talk about why should he be a swordsman and become the best when he's got a long life ahead of him?
Arthur cursed at himself in his head before going on "But really I was raised differently ma'am than you were with your parents, I was taken in by people who could of just sold me as a slave. I'm grateful for what they have done for me so I have a sort of duty to uphold the teachings they gave me, and I guess that when I reach my goal I'll have to decide then what will become of me." Arthur had a small smile on his face as he looked at Piper. This woman was sure different, she was questioning everything there was about him, that was not common when he talked to people about his way of life. With a small shrug and his small smile still on his face all he said was. "I guess we have to wait and see now wont we?"

"Uh-huh..." she kept watching him, taking in every move he made and then she cleared her throat. Was he even a part of this plane still? Seemed to her he was just kind of...floating out there in the middle of nowhere. She was half positive if he opened his eyes they would be vacant and glassy. "So...when do you intend to teach me this kind of stuff? After all, part of learning to rune is learning to pool your own energy to pull from right?" It made sense to her, he should be showing her how as he was doing it, explaining different things and demonstrating. Doing his job as a teacher!

A little smile to him that spoke of secrets. "Careful my friend...assuming can get you in trouble." Her family circumstances weren't as happy as he perhaps thought, not that she was going to tell him that. A little inclination of her head then, a look to Malik as she was checking his mood across thier bond...last thing she needed was a fight. That was just too much stress right now. "Well...in truth...the only ones I know of who would be...up to your standards, if you are so well versed in the blade, would be my fiancee, father, Onyx, or a drow. Of course...that doesn't mean I recommend or allow...just know of."
Slowly he curled his fingers inward until his hands were fisted, and then he stayed like that a moment...before it seemed as if he was waking from reverie, eyes opening and blinking a few times as if he had indeed been tranced out. A light shake of his head before he let his arms down and rested his elbows outwards on his knees. A little chuckle and a look to her. "What...you want to learn to harness your energy? Might be...painful..." And involved a bit of personal space invasion.

Oh yeah, his eyes would definitely have been glassy, he had that disoriented look that one usually got from being jolted from a reverie or pulled from a magical trance. That might have been a funny sight, maybe she should have crawled up on the table and snapped her fingers in front of his eyes just to see if he stayed like that. In any case it was too late now and she shrugged, "Never bothered me before. Learning magic always causes pain, I'm well used to it." She'd had quite a bit of schooling in hte practice of rune magery, a lot of it on her very own person, what iwth rope runes and passion runes. Translocation and all sorts of things. "So teach me oh wise instructor...I wish to learn."

"Alright..." Thus he uncrossed his legs and slid off the table, taking a moment to smooth down his clothes and brush his bangs out of his face, his braid over his shoulder, before he looked to her. "Get up, you can't do it sitting down." Yes this should be quite interesting. "Granted this may or may not work for you, seeing as you're still learning. I wasn't allowed to do such till my fiftieth year of training...though under Malik's guidance, he cares not for the normal lesson time tables. So then...don't scream at me if this goes south..."

Fiftieth year? She'd forgotten that becoming a rune mage took so much time. It was crazy that someone had to sit there and read book after book after book for years on end. And this is the exact reason why she'd neve become a Master or even a real rune mage most likely. Just took too long and she didn't have that much patience for it. Blinking for a moment, he'd certainly changed direction on her fast now hadn't he? Slowly she stood up from her chair and stepped to the side, glancing down to make sure nothing had been moved on her person or revealed. Now she was standing directly in front of him. "Shall we?" she asked with a quirk of an eyebrow and tilt of the head.

Quick and painless, that's how he'd do this. Watching her a moment he stepped around her so that he back was now too him. He let his hands rest on her upper arms, gripping lightly before he slid them down her arms, lifting them at the same time, stopping his hands at her wrists and when her arms were help perfectly straight out to the sides. It wasn't a comfortable posture to say the least. A little turn of his own wrists to get her wrists to rotate and then s squeeze that would make muscles and tendons react accordingly, making her hands arch and thus fingers spay. "First...you have to stand like this."
Then he wriggled a boot toe inbetween her heels and when he got a foot slipped between her two, he scooted her feet apart to shoulder width stance as if he was putting her in a sort of grounded to the floor position. Of course one boot was left to brace against one of hers to keep the length of the stand on at least one side. "Close your eyes and let your head level. Steady your breath and relax yourself. Tell me when you're ready.
Though Sevilin himself was supressing the shakes a little...having to teach someone this meant touching...and he wasn't good with touching, especially when it came to Zahara...with his luck he'd get smacked.
