(I hope I didn't just miss you back by a few seconds)
Paradox grunted in response to Katherine. He was very clearly irratated about something.

((you haven't!)) Katherine turned standing back up she motioned for him to follow her into the solar best for them to talk alone. Once they were in the much to bright room she motioned for the servants there to leave. Her purple eyes spoke as she motioned for him to sit and poured herself and then him some wine. "Tell me whats happend?" Her soft fragile voice spoke carefully.

Paradox sat down in one of the chairs. It was small for him, but he didn't seem to mind. He took the wine and downed it violentaly, all in one gulp. he choked and started coughing. He was like that for a few minutes before he finnally settled down. He looked Katherine straight in the eyes. Something he usually avoided doing. The two black orbs were deeply troubled by something. The general spoke. "Nothing. . . Nothing has happened." The words sounded hollow.

She watched him her purple eyes watching his she knew that was a lie. He wanted her to know something was wrong to so why not say it. This botherd her as she took her time and sat down sipping at her own cup giveing him time to think and giveing herself more time to think. After alittle while she looked back up to him. "You want me to know something is wrong yet you won't tell me. Should I already know then?"

Paradox sighed to himself. She was right, as always. He looked back at Katherine. "Katherine. . . Nothing has happened with me. Absolutely nothing. You on the other hand. . . Gods have been coming in and out of here like this place has free buffet. I thought Alastor was the worst of your worries, but the gods. . . What are you hoping to accomplish?" Paradox said it hollowly. He leaned back in his chair, awaiting any kind of response. He was no friend of the gods, even though none of them knew of him yet.

Katherine took a moment to collect her words for a response. They understod each other better than most people she thought. He was easier to talk with and caught on quicker than anyone. She took a deep breath and began. "You know that I as well distaste them, I good reasons for that. There is a lot that doesn't involve Llyr. That involves me seprately from all of this and them. You don't have to worry about them. I don't want you to. I want you to worry about the people. As for my goals they are quite simple." She gave a soft sweet her voice was slightly lower. "I want what any Queen wants, to do my job. To give my kingdom heirs and hopefully to watch them reach a age to where i am not needed." She watched him now. He was a smart man and would catch it very quickly.

The general copied Katherine's method to collecting his thoughts. Katherine was a good queen, but when would she go. It didn't matter to him. His voice was shaky, and full of doubt. He sounded scared. A first. "I know Katherine. It's just. . . I don't just distaste the gods. I wasn't originally a general, you know. I used to be a normal man, but then. . . The past has always been painful." He stayed silent for a few moments before speaking again. His voice was iron now. "I hate the gods to the very center of my being. I will take care of the kingdom, but I must know how long this problem with the gods has lasted." Paradox put down the wine glass while waiting for an awnser. He could see things that no one else could see, but he was ignorant to just as many things that were simple to other people.

This she knew he wouldn't understand but she wasn't going to lie to him. For some reason she didn't think she could lie to him. "Since the start of time for me." She spoke standing not looking him in the eyes as she poured herself more wine. "For Alastor to, we don't rembmer them. Sometimes little bits, but thats it." She sat back down looking at the glass not him. "I am close to one of them... You do know that don't you?"

Paradox looked around, as if searching for some other reason. He let out a small chuckle, and then a sigh. Of all the possible explanations, gods. . . "I have known that you have been to the realm of the gods a short time ago, but that was all. You didn't carry the taint of someone who spends their time in the afterlife." He looked at the same glass that Katherine was looking at. "I said before that we both have our secrets. I knew that you had more powers than you admitted, and that you had been to the worlds of the afterlife. But. . . I have not been so forthcoming with my own secrets such as I would be much more useful in a battle against the gods then with just some mortal war. If you need any kind of help in your quests please feel free to ask me. Who knows, I may be able to help you in your own struggles." paradox seemed much more like his normal self now. He was ready for anything at the moment.

Katherine stood. "Let me show you something." She motioned for him to follow seting her glass down as she walked out of the solar still speaking to him. "I shouldn't be telling you anything becaause it makes you involved but i believe you and i think that you will become involved. I don't know how much of them you know but there is a myth about a weapon the blind god created after he gave birth to the other gods. That is what i am supposed to be. The gods in turn made something to kill the weapon they tied him to my life strings you could say." She was leading him upstairs now."I like you can't help what I am, I don't blame them for what they want to do." She stopped in front of a door. "I don't blame anyone that knows what i am for not wanting me alive. I understand that. In fact i would understand if you feel the same."

Demetri lay on his floor, both his arms missing. His blood was flowing freely and out of his room from under the door. his eyes closed and he wasn't moving. His brain had no thought and his lips weren't moving. His chest had stopped it's usually routine of rising and falling. He had a hole in his chest where his heart should have been. Hector was gone and was nowhere near. He knew he was just inches from death, and from his own crest.

Paradox stopped when Katherine stopped. "I may or may not get involved. I have never blamed anyone who wanted to kill me either. Compared to me, you are a perfect weapon, while I was framed by much more mortal hands, you seem to have been crafted by a much more powerful diety. I could not kill you even if I wanted to, anyway." Paradox snapped his finger twice. this wasn't a summoning like it usually was, but for an all together different reason.

"I-" A scream echoed through the halls. Katherine turned her head it was not far from them probally the floor below them. Katherine was already moveing in that direction before she knew it. Skirts in hands she was rushing.
Dialh had gotten tired of the fact that Demiriti's room was closed shut yet everytime the staff knoked to clean it out no one voiced a answear so she had walked in. It was her scream that had been herd.

Paradox ran after Katherine. He didn't have any skirt to slow him down, though. He motioned to a few servants that he knew as he rushed past. They had been trained to get the gaurd up to a place of danger. the castle gaurd had been way too lax lately.
