I'm glad Dolphinmania is gone.
I find Booty Grab to be intolerably tedious, even with DM. And if I can't make mass amounts of gold off it, I don't want anyone else to, either. >.>
I know it doesn't solve the problem completely, but it seems to have removed a lot of the people who get rich off BG, and it's certainly made it more difficult for the rest; thus, I dance on its grave.

I'm kinda glad to see DM gone as well....but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's only because gaia is going to make the service they offered an official part of the site, an integrated feature. Not because aquarium gold generation is actually being treated as an issue.

Aquarium gold generation is being treated as an issue, just in a roundabout way. through all of the nerfs and all.. there are few fish who glow all together anymore, so there's less 'full tanks of fish' to BG off. Plus, I've been told they stopped selling dolphins in the store all togther, soo.. it seems like they're doing something. o3o

DM was nice at first, but I feel that I can make more just dragging people with me for SS runs..

But...it was wogged last night that it was shut down because of "the un-intended consequences of the high gold pay-out and inflation problems". gonk I'm so gonna cite this if they do anything like that. After all...they wouldn't want to do something...counterproductive, now would they?
...That sounded a lot more ominous in my head.

I know one of the owners of DM, and I know someone who knows both owners of DM.. and we both agree that they would've have gone down without a fight if that really was the case, Kestin.
For it to be mutual, there had to be a /good/ reason behind it.
And, for what it's worth, BG is currently not working/broken and has been for the past day, and prices in the MP have not been affected. And, during the BG/aquarium strike (where tank owners put all their fish in Barrett's tank so they wouldn't glow), prices in the MP actually went /up/, not down.
So I really doubt BG is affecting much of the MP/has much to do with inflation.

Changed it from a beautiful display into a money grabbing hellhole. People were going for money fish rather than pretty ones. And that's bullshit.

There are other sites just like DM out there that existed longer than DM did, and they haven't been shut down.. It's probably due to DM being the most popular out of all of them.
