Tsurai swallowed what seemed to be the never-ending blood in his mouth.

"You still are my best friend," he said softly. "And I don't know... How I could thank you. Or say goodbye. Or even apologise. I'm just sorry."

The nineteen year old put his hand over an eye, under his heavy bangs. "I'm sorry about everything. But Alex is right. I can't exist controllably without being given some type of order to follow."

He put his hands down at his sides, looking at the plank Isiah was sitting on. "And right now it's Alex I have to listen to. And I can't leave without her... We didn't come here for you, or the water.. We came here to get the supplies we needed so Alex could help heal somebody back home."

As an afterthought, he put his hand on the back of his neck and added, "I'm sorry."

"Sorry's not gonna ******** cut it, Tsurai. I remember when I yanked your a** out of the vault I couldn't get you to do s**t that I told you. So this taking orders bullshit? That's exactly what it is. You're letting her control you, because you're getting p***y. And you gave me up, so you could get p***y. That speaks volumes about the content of your character." He coughed. "Lack thereof. And where ever you are, they probably deserve to ******** die, too. I'm not gonna cater to either of you ******** anymore. I'm second in command, kid, and I say no."

He stood up but remained on the wood covering that held Alex in the well below. "Who needs enemies."

"That's not..." Tsurai took a step back and brought his hands up.
"I don't want to fight you. I don't want to be your enemy. I really can't deal with any broken bones right now."

"Then leave."

Isiah was being very curt and simple with reason. He was trying to hold in the anger. It wasn't working. "Maybe if you're lucky I'll let her out with no broken bones."

The fear inside Tsurai was growing. He was truly omega, now, but he had to stand up for his own partner, didn't he?

"I can't.. Not without her." His hands clenched into fists, but he made no effort to wave them around. "She didn't tell me what we needed, I don't know what to get without her."

"Come and get her."

Kaegan grunted. "Isiah, stop. Just give him the girl." Kaegan didn't want another fight to start. Isiah would have no holds barred if Tsurai came back for a second punishment.

Isiah ignored him and stood his ground, waiting to see if Tsurai would make a decision.

Kaegan was a very weak voice to Tsurai.

The kid took a deep breath, trying to decide. "You'll attack me, and I'll lose." His eyes were shaking slightly. "How am I supposed to help her if I'm dead?"

It was official, now. Tsurai had no backbone anymore.

"Augh.." Tsurai put his hand to his head and pushed. He didn't know what to do . He was caught in a circular reference.

He had to get Alex, but to get her he had to die, and he couldn't get Alex if he was dead. There isn't a solution for circular references; they just keep circling. The problem is the solution.

Alex looked up at the board Isiah was standing on. She could only hear bits and pieces of what Isiah said, and could tell that Tsurai was talking, but couldn't make out any of the words because he was so far off.

There were still shovels down in the hole, though, so she took one by the handle and pointed it upward.
"Isiah!" She screamed, heaving the shovel up toward the board like a lance, "You leave him alone!"

"You're really good at math, Tsurai. You should concentrate on that."
"But I hate numbers."
"Well, despite what you think, these numbers will help you out a lot more than fighting ever will. Don't spar anymore."
"But.."

Isiah laughed as he felt the shovel hit the board beneath him. "Watch it sweetheart, or I'll have Braeden go down and have a second go with you."

He looked up at Tsurai, shaking his head back and forth. "What drugs she give you to make you suck a simple ********, huh? You used to have a ******** brain."

The shovel bounceed off and landed at Alex's feet.
She growled in response to Isiah's comment.

"Nothing. I'm clean. I know. I still do have a brain, I just..." He looked like he was pain. He really couldn't decide what he should do.
"I just have better control over the violent parts, now."

He looked up at Isiah, "I'm going through a logical thought process, assessing my options, defining variables-- it all takes time, I don't have an answer so quickly!"

Now that Tsurai was yelling, Alex could just barely make out what he was saying.
"No, Tsurai! this isn't a math problem!"

But he couldn't hear her.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 02, 2005 11:32 am

He grunted. "Normal human beings can go through that logical thought process in seconds. Miliseconds. She's ******** you up, kid. You used to be able to make decisions."

He stomped on the wood again so Alex would know he was s**t talking her. It brought him petty pleasure. "Your move."

"This is why we split up!" Tsurai shouted. "Because I made a ******** wrong decision! I couldn't make decisions then, and I'm trying to now, but it just ******** goes in circles! Every answer is the wrong one! How the hell am I ever supposed to do anything right if I'm always pinned like this!"

He stepped forward, thrusting his hand toward Isiah, but still too far away to even remotely touch him. "You think I like this? You ARE still my friend! Although being seperated from you wasn't the best thing on the planet, it was nessecary!

You're right, you know that! I am ******** up, but I think I'm signifigantly less ******** up than before, because before I would've charged at you and died because I thought I'd win by some slim chance! But I didn't now, because I'm smarter.

Yes, Isiah, I AM ******** up. But look at you! You joined back up with the Denziens, everything you hated! You're willing to kill me just because I betrayed you! You of all people know the s**t I went through, but I never killed my enemies just because I hated them!

Both of us are in bad situations, Isiah, but you're the one who doesn't realise it, and that's what makes your situation worse than mine!"
PostPosted: Wed Aug 03, 2005 8:36 pm

Isiah growled, curling his lip up.

"You stayed with the woman who raped you. The woman who drugged, then RAPED you. You HATED her, Tsurai, and after she ******** you, you changed your mind. Whatever brain you had, which wasn't ******** much to begin with, SUNK into your diminuitive d**k.

Don't assume, for one second, that you are MY friend. To be frank, I'm the one who decides that. I don't keep friends who ******** me over after I saved their a** from CONSTANT onslaught. And friends don't choose some abusive manipulative b***h over the person who dragged their a** through hell and back. So ******** you, and ******** anything you have to say, because it's all bullshit."

His fists were curled tightly, eyes burning with deep anger. Kaegan joined him shortly, placing his hand on his shoulder and speaking in Denzien, quietly. Isiah grunted back quickly before throwing his hands up and storming away to find Braeden and punch a cigarette out of him. Kaegan sighed, shaking his head back and forth before kneeling and pulling the board off from over Alex's head. He dropped the rope back down, waiting for her to climb up before taking her arm in his palm, leading her gently back toward Tsurai.

He took Tsurai's arm as well and led them both to the exit where they had entered earlier, someone following behind him with the container of water Alex had thrown. He took it from the kid and shoved it into Tsurai's arms. "We don't have what you need here. And if we did, I couldn't give it to you." After his hands were empty he crossed his arms over his chest. "Please leave."

Tsurai too the water and put it in the duffelbag, zipping it up and putting it over his shoulder with a grunt, giving Kaegan a cold stare.

"We can''t-"

Alex stopped him. "Forget it Tsurai, we got the water, and I don''t want you hurt. Let''s try the next one."

"But--" Alex elbowed Tsurai in the gut, and having already been beaten for they day, hunched over in more pain than that should''ve caused him.

"You''d think you''d know not to question me, by now. C''mon, let''s go before they beat us both up," she pulled Tsurai''s arm away from Kaegan, muttering under her breath about how stupid and filthy Denziens wore.
