Lol I heard about that XDD

No. I'm taking a Terminator and trying to convert it to look like an infested human with Tyranid parts on him. The talons, the venom cannon ETC, ETC. It'll look hot if we can pull it off.

So How do you guys feel about the Genestealer Cults? I'm starting an army myself, and I was wondering what you guys thought.

Well, like I asked in the thread, how close did they ever get to having their own list or rules in previous editions?

I has a question! While cleaning my room I found my Nid's Codex (yay!), well I was reading it about the Ripper Swarms and it mentions them being mindless. Well most Nids are mindless correct? But it also said that since they are eating machines of death (in more fancier terms) that they did not follow the instinctive behavior rule.

So my question is. Do they need Synapses Creatures, or can they go Willy Nilly like Gene Steelers?

Sorry if thats confusing . sweatdrop

Not confusing at all. No they don't go "willy nilly" if out of synapse, You don't need to roll the leadership at the movement phase or any of that and they're still fearless, but you do lose the advantage of synapse like immunity to the instant death rule.

No, only Rippers are. Because only Rippers have the 'Mindless' rule.

Just like Genestealers, Rippers don't need Synapse. In fact, Rippers gain zero benefit from Synapse.

Except that Synapse specifically excludes Rippers from benefiting from immunity to Instant Death. Rippers don't really lose anything for being out of Synapse.

If you are making it for fluff purposes. All the best too you.

But for actual gameplay, I'm pretty sure the list is no longer legal. But best to check for yourself.
