Terryn smiled, nodding as she pulled away from him. "I have yet to unpack. I shall only be a moment." Something was making her feel a strange sensation, one that she felt a long time ago but that she thought had died away. She couldn't place it yet, but it kept coming at her in the form of little, not unpleasant jolts in the stomach.

Marcus, still absorbing Terryn's decision, nodded. He wasn't entirely sure how to express his thanks, and his disbelief. No one, not even his brothers, would leave everything to help him for six months. He was quite sure of that. Quite overwhelmed by this sudden gratitude, he leaned forward to kiss Terryn for several seconds.

Terryn had a feeling that this was Marcus's way of thanking her, which she accepted wholeheartedly. When she finally pulled away, she looked at him for a second before pulling him in again for a second, slightly deeper kiss. She felt all odd inside, almost heated or static feeling.

Marcus had labeled his feelings as gratitude. But there was definitely more to it, something that Marcus didn't particularly want to acknowledge. Besides, he was busy right now, his hands finally having found an easy resting place on her waist. He shifted forwards slightly, inching Terryn closer to the wall. He didn't have time to think about trivial things like feelings.

Terryn stepped back in motion with his lead, as though it were some sort of dance. She soon felt her back press to the wall, and used it as leverage to press Marcus closer against her. She wrapped her arms tightly around his neck and began kissing him as though there weren't servants wandering around the manor.

Marcus pressed back with something resembling anxiousness, his hands running along Terryn's side. The two of them eventually snogged themselves to the tapestry of Dionysus, and Marcus pulled away an inch or two, his face flushed. "We don't have to leave terribly soon."

Terryn's hair was somewhat askew, her face the same color as his more or less. She took a few shallow breaths before nodding. "Of course not. We have time." She pulled him in again for a few minutes before tugging on his shirt and dragging him into her bedroom, where it was much more comfortable for sure.

Marcus shut the door behind him distractedly, following Terryn's lead to the bed. For a split second, before he began to kiss along Terryn's neck, he thought he saw a yellow rose resting on the headboard. But that was foolish. He'd thrown it away yesterday, after all.

Terryn layed back on her pillows, gripping onto Marcus's shoulders as his lips trailed down her lap. She felt a little self conscious, mainly because she had never done something quite like this before, but she relaxed rather quickly.

Some time later, Marcus's hand stirred among the blankets to find Terryn's. "Terryn," he mumbled sleepily, leaning over and kissing her cheek, purely because it was the first part of her that he had found.

Terryn smiled back at him, her eyelids fluttering open as she looked at him. "Marcus?" She squeezed his hand and moved closer to him, nuzzling into his neck softly.

Marcus gave her a contented sigh. The feelings had returned, and they were alarmingly strong. Once again, Marcus mislabeled them as gratitude. "I don't think I've ever been happier," he told her.

Terryn couldn't help but blush a little at this as she kissd him softly on the neck. "Now are you saying this because it is what you tell all your women, or do you actually mean it this time?"

Marcus looked at her evenly. She really was alarmingly beautiful. Maybe Marcus could have a portrait of her somewhere in this house. "Well," he answered, holding her hand a little bit tighter. "What do you think?"

Terryn locked eyes with him for a moment, her expression calculating as though trying to read him like a lie detector. "Well...I think that given your record I should not believe you." A slight smile spread on her face. "But I can not help myself." She leaned in and kissed him gently, pulling away after a few seconds but keeping close to him.
