Pontius Pirate I wonder if Xenos Mortium is aware that Harlequins still technically have their own army list. Then you are either referring to an old and obsolete army list, or you are aware of some new Eldar codex feature that we are not aware of ourselves as of yet. Harlequins = Eldar, so they go in the Eldar thread. Same with the Marines and Imperial Guard, all regimental variants and chapters go in their "parent-force" thread. A seperate army list is not reason for a seperate thread*. Speaking of Harlequins, people who hate models with integrated base decorations will probably dislike the new models, as they come with flapping robes that suspend them off the ground, making them look like they are dancing. * If so, let me be the first to create the following threads: Cadian Shock troops, Catachans, Valhallans, Death Korps of Krieg, Tallarn Desert Raiders, Mordian Iron Guard, the Praetorian Guard, Attillan rough riders, Elysian drop legions, Tanith First and Only, Steel Legions of Armageddon, the Imperial Penal legions and just about every other custom regiment can be inserted *here*. And don't get me started on the Adeptus Astartes!

It would be great if you could apply the loose rule where you can use any army as long as you have its most up to date codex, but the Harlequin codex was never official.
Very said, I thought it was balanced considering they didnt have armor, and a harlequin army was maybe half or less of any other army in size.

well, if the seer council is gone, then i officialy own too many farseers. what a waste...
anyhoo, ill still wait to see the official codex to make a full and complete decision as to whether or not i will hate gav thorpe, or phil kelly, or whoever is in charge of the new rules.
i really like how those harlequin models are sounding, and i cant wait to see thier official rules. the old ones were neat, but a bit unbalanced. the original idea was that the lack of armour would balance out thier freaky-awesomeness, but they get like a 4+ invulnerable save anyways, so..

Something I noticed is that the Eldar use the term "Mon'Keigh" to describe inferior races, generally humans whether Imperial or Chaos. Well, that's not what I noticed, but when I sounded out the word, what I noticed it what it sounded like. 'mon'-'kay' Sounds like a rather derogetory term for humans, doesn't it? xp

I actually thought it was too obviouse consiering how complex their language is supposed to be. Seems they onyl refer to humans that way. Ive never heard them call the orks anything but orks, and what they call the Tau in my experience usually seems positive or at least nuetral.

Dancing eldar reminds me of the Brazillian martial art that is basically dancing. Anyone remember what that's called?

Tableau Dancing eldar reminds me of the Brazillian martial art that is basically dancing. Anyone remember what that's called? Capoeira. It's more than dancing, but since it was disguised as dancing for so long, it's not exactly straight up striking. Out of curiousity, has anyone here ever fielded a Seer Village? I can't recall the exact specifics, but it's something like a 20+ model Seer Council with re-rollable 4+ invulnerables, making the unit impossible to kill short of massed psycannon.

My friend has a strike force, and he always talks about it, though he's too cheap to go out and buy enough warlocks.

Anyways Youll want probably a good mix, a lot of people loike Banshees, I like scorpions personally. But the new update sort of screws this up. I cant say Farseers, autarchs, or the Avatar, as I have no idea what theyll be like. And honestly most of their units can do double duty, hell even the spiders look like theyll be getting a bit more close combat punch.
So youll just have to wait till it comes out like the rest of us.

Technically, all the old Craftworld rules are still there(I HAVE THE CODEX AND MY BRAIN SCREAMS IN RAGE AT ME FOR READING IT TO MUCH!!!) but they're just heavily toned down. For troop choices they still have the basic troops available for each of the main craftworlds(wraithguard, dire avengers, rangers/pathfinders, storm guardians, guardian jetbikes) available. After that it just matters what you want for everything else, the basic make up for the core army remains.

Ive just run into a lot of people saying the opposite, so i guess Ill wait till i get my own. That is a wee bit of hope though. thanks.

You can use the dex to build any craftworld. BUT!!! You do not get the special rules that those individual craftworlds had.
