(Ryooookooooo...*haunts thread*) Malik frowned, looking up into Pharaoh's face. "They'd get over it." Truthfully, the Egyptian didn't believe it. But he'd beat them off with a stick if the teen had to to get his dear Pharaoh to come with them. After all, even with Battle City and Yami being the center of his anger, Yami was the first to forgive him! Malik wasn't about to forget that.

"True. I mean I do owe you as it is, Malik. I forgave you after what happened during Battle City and all. But I guess I'll find out when I get there right?" Yami replied, smiling a little bit. He finally kept walking and smiled softly.

((o.O;; I missed... a lot. Wow.))
"Cuz I said so," Jou countered a little less than tactfully, sitting up and trying to discreetly take deep breaths. Geez, pouncing on a guy like that... and the kissing... and just... geez. Jou's head felt like mush. In a good way though, which was weird, and which he wouldn't admit to. If he did admit to it, then he knew he just might find himself pinned again. And then... well, it'd be pretty hard to think from there. "Him? I thought thieves were supposed ta be... y'know. Quiet?"

"Bakura's never been quiet in his life. He never shuts up." Yami Malik probably shouldn't have said that, not having been around the tomb robber recently, but that's how it was in Battle City. Bakura could probably be quiet if he wanted to be, but he never wanted to be. Bakura whirled around, eyes scanning the darkness. In the faint ray of light from the window, he could see... Something horrible. The tomb robber, repulsed, backed away. Where was the door!? He couldn't see it. The thing had effectively caught his eyes. Bakura had seen his family slaughtered in front of him, along with a lot of other things that the average person would have killed themselves upon seeing, but this creature.. Suddenly the creature was gone, and it reappeared attached to Bakura's side. The tomb robber felt sharp knives, teeth or claws?, slash his left side. Was he on the ground? Where was it? How bad was the cut(s)? Besides hurting like hell- That doesn't count. The creature's eyes gazed into Bakura's. They were brimming eternal red, pupils no more than constricted slits. For the first time in ages, literally, Bakura couldn't think. So, with the mind impaired, the body takes over. The tomb robber darted backwards, his injured side flairing in pain. A scream tore from him as the creature lept onto his back. Claws, claws, nothing but claws! How many legs did this damn thing have?! Bakura toppled forward into the dining room. He must have been standing, for the impact with ground shocked his brain into functioning again. The spirit pulled himself to his feet weakly, staggering into the lit living room. The thing lurked on the edge of light and dark, hidden in the twilight. The eyes focused on Bakura's again, and the tomb robber couldn't think. Suddenly a shrill scream came from the creature- It was too horrible and too loud for even the hardy Egyptian to stand. Bakura blacked-out. He lay on the floor, bleeding from his practically shredded side, various claw marks piercing his back. His shirt was practically torn to nothing-ness. Surely if the yami-hikari bond was present, Ryou would know what horrid injuries his dark side had sustained? But was that bond present any longer? "Case in point." Yami Malik sighed, walking out the door. But before he had even reached the stairs, a shrill screech split the air. The split personality's hands flew to his ears, trying to block out the horrible noise. Finally it stopped, the silence hanging eerily in the air after such loudness. That wasn't Bakura. But what was it? He rushed down the stairs, staring around. For a brief moment, a glare of red caught him. The Egyptian's mind went blank for a few seconds before returning. The lights in the kitchen and dining room flashed back on, and the red was gone. Yami Malik turned, almost afraid of what he would see. Would it be the red creature? No, it wasn't. The only thing red was Bakura's blood. He quickly moved over to Bakura's non-shredded side. These injuries... The creature wasn't something that dwelled on earth, that was sure. The personality could see a faint whiteness underneath the blood. He hoped to got it wasn't Bakura's ribs. He had to get to the hospital. Yami Malik whirled, opening the door. Were Ryou and Malik still around? They could help. A lot. But the door wouldn't open. Was it locked? No, the lock was still in unlocked position. Running into the dining room, almost afraid the creature would return, he realized the other doors were jammed shut too. What was happening to this place?
Malik's eyes widened in shock. The Pharaoh had practically read his mind! "You don't owe me anything. It's me who owes you- And I can't ever repay you enough." The Egyptian followed Ryou and the shorter, older man. (Wow. That was long...and so unspeakably creepy. *shudder* Yeah. We kinda went on a posting frenzy there..haha.)

Yami nodded and smiled softly as he finally entered the store. He couldn't help but laugh at the looks on people's faces as they saw him. Some were royally confused, two mistook him for Yuugi and others didn't even notice him. But he was still smiling, glad that Malik and Ryou were glad that he was back. "Perhaps you can't repay me enough, but it's the thought that counts."

((I'm so out of it right now D: I just woke up after going to AWA...so I'm soooo pooped.))
Ryou was opening the store's glass doors when an intense pain racked his body so suddenly. Eyes widened and he gripped the door which was opened. A feeling of dred flipped his stomach, making him nausious. His head pounded as he backed out of the stoor, almost tripping over his own feet. His breathing was now deep, almost as though he were gasping.
A couple nearby turned to look at Ryou but did nothing, trying to ignore him and walked away. Another pain, this one even worst as his side felt like it was being ripped apart by an unseen force. This time the pain was enough to make him stumble over onto the sidewalk, catching himself from slamming his face into the concrete. What was happening?
His only instinct was to pull himself up and turn away from the store back to his house. After getting himself up, his eyes winced in the intense pain that was making him even more sick. He hardly even glanced to Malik and Yami as he began running like there was something only inches behind him trying to kill him. Brushing past Malik, he felt even more fear in his stomach as the pain went away, as though it blacked out. Nevertheless he still ran as fast as his flipping stomach and pounding head would let him.

The blond was silent. He didn't know how to reply to the Pharaoh's comment. Malik's eyes widened in shock as suddenly Ryou seemed to become very ill in a matter of seconds. Amazingly the other teen managed to get up and run towards where the Egyptian assumed the house was. What was going on!? "Yami! I think somethings wrong!" He yelled before chasing after Ryou. Whatever was happening, it wasn't good. (Told you about...20 pages back that something was going to happen. 3nodding )

Yami nodded before he ran after Malik and Ryou. He didn't know why Ryou was ill all of a sudden, but he did notice the other's strange actions. He was as confused as everyone else was by this point. "But what is it?I don't sense any weird shadow magic yet... and I'm very sensitive to it."

Ryou, once at the house, was completely out of breath. He had to lean up against the door, panting and fumbling for his keys. His hands were shaking so bad that he almost couldn't even fit the key into the door. Much less open it. It felt like he had run a marathon, even worst his side ached tremendously, even more than before. After trying to open the door, he began pounding on it.
Something was wrong, and he felt he needed to do something now before it was too late. He was leaning up against the door as he pounded, fearing for the worst. Deep in the corners of his mind he knew what was happening, but he didn't want to beleive it. All this was just hallucinations from blood loss, that was all it was.
More pain in his side, finally he gave the door one last try and it flung open, as though it weren't locked in the first place. After suddenly stumbling through the door way he moved over to the dining room and gapped at the scene in front of him, fear turning into panic.
"What...what happened?!" he began in a panicky voice before rushing over to Bakura's side and starring at the major wounds. "Some one hurry! Do something!" he cried, not even looking at them. "Call an ambulance or something! Please!" His hands immideatly went to Bakura's side, pushing on it to try to get the blood flow to slow down. Instinctly he used the remains of the shirt to serve as a temporary bandage and applied as much pressure as he could.
"Come on...please...wake up...please...come on." he pushed harder onto the torn up side, frantically trying to stop the blood.

Malik didn't reply to Yami. He had an idea of what had happened, but he wasn't about to voice his concern. As he approached the house, he heard Ryou's call for an ambulance. The Egyptian didn't even look to see who had been hurt, but instead ran for the phone. 9-1-1... Nothing. Malik gasped. The phone was dead.
Suddenly the lights from the kitchen glowed with twice their normal brightness, blinding the Egyptian. The light solidified into a beautiful feathered figure. The figure was that of a Phoenix, it's feathers white as Ryou's hair and more blue than Seto Kaiba's eyes. The phoenix fluttered into the living room, speaking in a soft, non-gender discerning voice. "Oh, the Shadowed One's followers have struck again. Move away, boy. I can help." It landed onto the carpet softly, trying to shoo Ryou away from Bakura with its wings. The bird's tail drooped along the ground, a full 3 feet long. It had a wing-span of about Bakura's height.
By the time the light had faded and Malik could see again, the Phoenix had moved on into the living room. The Egyptian checked the phone- there seemed to be nothing wrong with it. Why wouldn't it work!? He called the number again, and again, and again, but nothing was happening. Oh, please, work...Someone's life depended on it.

Yami blinked, standing in utter shock at the scene before him. Bakura lying seriously injured and a Phoenix in the living room staying near Bakura. He knew about the creatures, but had never seen one. But he knew that it wouldn't cause any harm, it was watching over him. The only bad thing was that they couldn't get any help for the fallen former tomb robber. At least not in the form of medical intervention.

((Just so you guys know. Ryoko has been really busy lately, hence why the absence. You know how life goes. I just wanted to make sure you guys knew, and just to give her A LOT of slack. :3 Cause she deserves it okay? <33 Thanks guys.))
Ryou was on the edge of panic before having to close his eyes in a bright light emersed the room. This made his mind even more unsettled, his hands already shook, and the pain that was in his side was making it hard to keep his hands pressed against Bakura's own.
When he heard a voice, he dared to open his eyes, which were now on the verge of tears. Before long he was gawking at the phoenix in front of him, his hands letting go of the other's side, though he quickly turned his head and pushed back onto it. Frozen, he starred at Bakura's still body, his own body feeling his pain, which was so intense it made him sick.
Hesitantly he let go of Bakura and shifted himself backwards, hands clamped now onto his own side in pain. His brown eyes moved to the Pheonix in complete and utter confusion. This seemed so surreal, it was obviously a dream, it had to be. But the pain...it was too real...it hurt so much.

(Yeah, she deserves slack, but how are we going to keep the rp alive? Should we make a temporary new thread with a random topic to keep everyone around and interested until she comes back, or what? That sounds like a good idea. I could compile everything she missed into a summary, or something. )

(That's hard to do sometimes. Haha.. And yeah, Hikari's a bit...weird. I just learned my friend is a homophobe- Starting to tick me off...) "Ah, thank you. What is your name, boy?" The phoenix was obviously refering to Ryou as it hopped over to Bakura's side. "I'm Hikari, by the way. Male, if you couldn't tell." Hikari spread his wings over the injured Egyptian, and a faint glow spread over the shreaded side. "He's beautiful- Your lover? So lucky. If I could only get someone like that." Apparently he wasn't going to shut up, but backed away from the tomb robber's side. The shirt wasn't mended, but the flesh had come back together, no longer bleeding. "Ah, something about my healing. He'll still have lost all that blood, but hey, at least he's not losing anymore, eh?" Hikari tapped Bakura on the head, his eyes showing the smile his beak can't. "So, so beautiful. Equally beautiful name, I'd assume?" He hadn't even noticed Yami Malik, who was lurking over by the wall. Malik bit back a sob. The phone was obviously not going to work. The Egyptian slowly peeked into the living room, and his mind shut down. Was that a PHOENIX!? Hikari turned around curiously, eyeing Malik. "Now, now. Close your mouth, you look like a fish. Minus the uglyness." He managed to shut his mouth, but nothing else.
