Rhaim thrust his hands back into his pockets when he was done with the plant he had found. Despite the fact that even he knew that he'd be pulling them out continuously to search through the brush of the area. As he started to walk off and continue his hunt he heard the Inuzuka begin to laugh. He slowly turned to look for her and caught half of an image of her rolling about on the ground. After studying the odd sight for a moment he turned his gaze to some rustling that turned out to be Kuroi also looking at his master. The actual action that the girl found so amusing was completely missed by the Nara boy. Thus he raised an eyebrow at her once more and turned to continue his search, only to find the dog now next to him.
Not wanting to delay the animal as it scurried off, he simply gave it a wave. Once it was also secured in his borrowed pack, the boy set out on an azimuth parrallel to the girl's so that neither of them got separated. All the while lifting low shrubs with his feet.

Aryza's post Search = 18 Seeing that each time they helped each other look they were successful she smiled. It truly felt good being able to work with Rhaim and Kuroi like they were team. It only made the inuzuka girl feel more excited about when she'd been put into one of her own. The only difference would be with a sensei they could go one even more dangerous missions.
As her mind wondered about the various things being in a team could bring she nearly missed another one of the plants. The only reason she noticed it was because she had cut herself on some sort of thorn which brought her attention back on the bush she was looking through. Grabbing it carefully she took it over Rhaim before resuming her search once more.Gathering Raw Medicinal Materials

Kuroi's post Search = 16 Enjoying the chance to show his canine skills Kuroi jumped form one bush to another. Literally sticking his nose into every single one. Sniffing the air continually he searched for the plants that way. While his human companions needed to see it with their eyes he could sense it with his nose long before ever seeing it. Catching a whiff of another one of the plants he turned in its direction. It seemed to be coming from where the Nara boy was standing. Not knowing if the Nara would spot it before stepping on it the black wolf darted towards the boy barking once to catch his attention. Gathering Raw Medicinal Materials

The Nara boy was still pushing at the shrubs with his toe when Aryza came bouncing up to him with yet another one of the plants. It seemed that he was falling behind in their little task, as far as pulling his own weight. He took the quickly filling pack from his back and placed the Cocosh from the girl into it. He called out to her as he returned the pack to his back and she scurried off, "If I'm slowing you down, just say so."
Not knowing if she had heard him since he wasn't one to raise his voice very often, the teen spun about to continue his hunt. Rhaim was completely oblivious to the plant that sat underneath his foot as the bark of Kuroi stopped him in mid stride. He craned his neck slowly towards the dog and then down towards his foot. The sight of the Cocosh under him gave him a pretty good clue as to way the animal had called out to him. After carefully placing his foot beside the plant he uprooted it and stuffed it in the back as well. After standing back up he shrugged at the dog, "Guess I'm more harm than help eh?"

Rhaim found himself wandering about aimlessly and when he finally brought his attention back to his surroundings he could not see Aryza or Kuroi anywhere nearby. With a shrug the boy figured that his best bet would be to place himself somewhere nearby so that he could easily be found. Thus he plodded about until he came to the actual path leading back into the village. The teen kept his hands in his pockets as he took a seat on a tree stump and waited for either of his partners to find him. It seemed that he really was a burden considering that he had managed to get himself lost while on such a simple task.

The sun’s glowing heat beat down on Tenma as she headed up into the mountains. It had been overheard in the ramen shop that Rhiam and a group of shinobi were up in the mountains searching for medicinal herbs. Since it had been so long since she had seen him, it was now two years if she recalled correctly, the child decided it was time to track him down and pay him a visit. But still, the idea that two people could reside in the same place and not see each other for such a long time was far over her head. Then again, when she lived with her grandparents everyone was together constantly; which could also be said for some of the Nara women. There was a sort of excitement that danced around in the child as she thought about getting to see her friend again. The two had gotten along spectacularly during the academy, always there helping one another through the whole ordeal, and they had exchanged letters throughout the years. Yes, this was a cause to be happy about. The girl’s bare feet padded over the dusty trail as her eyes remained alert for any sign of Rhiam; though every now and then she would be distracted by a particularly peculiar plant or a skittering animal. However, it didn’t take her long to stumble across the boy sitting on a stump on the trail. With a smile she noted that he had changed indeed. “It has been a while, has is not, Rhiam?” There was a happy note in her voice as she approached the teenager.

Rhaim was slouched forward with his gaze fixed on nothing in particular on the trail before him. His hands were still deep in his pockets when the sounds of feet coming down the trail finally caught his attention. The teen simply turned his head to meet what he had assumed would be Aryza coming to berate him for getting separated from her and her dog. However what he found instead was a barefoot girl with village headbands on either arm. His mouth craned into an awkward position behind the balaclava as she called out his name. After a couple of very quiet seconds of staring Rhaim nodded his head slowly and pulled the cloth down from his face, "Hey Tenma. I guess so. After hearing your name around the house every day I was there, I guess I failed at recognizing you. Headed out again?"

Tenma couldn’t help but smile when she saw the cloth over his face distort slightly. She gladly listened to his reply as she closed the short distance between the two. "That is perfectly alright. I cannot say that you look the same as when I last saw you." Resting on a rock the girl looked up at Rhiam, he was still considerably taller than she was. “And actually, no, I am not going anywhere in particular. I simply thought that it would be nice to see you, just to change things up a little bit.” Ah yes, the girl had learned how to make minor jokes while working in the ramen shop over the past two years. Sure, it wasn’t laugh worry, but her sense of humor was typically enough to bring some sort of smile or shake of the head. The girl couldn’t help but be content now that she was back around her friend and as a bonus she was outside. With the warm sun hovering above, lighting up a gorgeous blue sky, and the cool stone beneath her it was the perfect environment: the perfect day to be outside. “So, what are you doing out here? I cannot say that I have ever seen anyone but travelers on this pass.” Her voice danced along with the warm surrounding air, it was obvious that she was in high spirits.

Rhaim rested his free hand from removing his balaclava onto his knee while still hunched over. His right eye squinted in confusion at the comment about seeing him to change things up. He wasn't entirely certain if she meant that she usually saw someone else in particular or if seeing him was such a chore that it could only be done when she was bored. At any rate he gave a shrug and settled his visage back into a neutral state. She seemed happy enough, which considering the high spirits of Aryza, put him slightly on edge. It was as if the war had come to an end and someone had forgotten to tell him.
At her inquiry of his business on the mountain Rhaim pulled the borrowed backpack from his back and opened it up. He spoke as he pulled up the small tuber, "Collecting Black Cocosh for the hospital. I was helping out an Inuzuka, but I think she might have already filled her bag and taken off. I've still got a few more to go before I should head back."

The girl noticed the slight change in his facial expression and it caused her to pause and think back over what she had said before it hit her. “Oh! I am terribly sorry, Rhiam, I did not mean it that way. I wanted to come out here to see you, not simply because I had nothing to do.” Tenma wanted to slap herself in the back of the head for not realizing the alternative means that could be drawn from what she said. Obviously she needed more practice than she originally thought. Oh well, it was all a part of the learning experience and she definitely wasn’t gifted socially. Another thing that caught her eye was the slight tension about him. What was it that had him worried? Occupied? Concerned? Her attention was drawn back when Rhiam moved his bag and began rummaging around. The child’s lips parted slightly and her head tilted as she looked at the plant. It was something that she had never laid eyes on before and she was quite intrigued. “Well, that is odd that someone you were working with would simply leave. Would you like my assistance? I have never looked for plants before, but I cannot imagine it would take you and I too terribly long to finish filling your bag.” Her eyes stayed trained on the odd plant – a black cocosh he had called it. “That is, if you do not mind my intrusion. If so I completely understand, I wouldn’t want to burden you.” Honesty was something that the spirit within her was quite keen on. So, if she had an idea or a thought, Tenma didn’t usually hesitate to voice it to her friends. Stranger and people she wasn’t fond of, that was another story; but she knew that Rhiam understood what she was clumsily trying to say. Feeling slightly a fool, the child tucked her knees up to her chest and let her chin rest on top; looking out at the area around them.

Rhaim shrugged again as he tucked the root back into his bag and pulled out a folded piece of paper. He handed the item out over to the girl with a shrug at the comment about him being left behind, "I wasn't paying a whole lot of attention either. So it's just as much my fault that I ended up alone."
He pointed at the page and continued on, "That's what the actual plant looks like above ground. It's just the tuber that we need to collect."
With that he scrunched up his face slightly before pulling the black material up over his mouth and nose again. In one fell movement he was back on his feet and swinging the pack back onto his back. He turned and started off back into the tree line. His right hand scratched at the back of his mess of hair as he probed low shrubs with his foot and called back at the girl, "If you really want to help that's cool. I'm not too good at finding the things."

Tenma didn’t quite agree with him that it was also his fault, but she also wasn’t there and she would have been biased in his favor without knowing the other person. Her eyes quickly drunk in the image that the boy was pointing to on the page before turning her eyes to the landscape; there was a great deal of ground that this plant could be using to house itself. However, Rhiam’s movement brought her back from her thoughts and contemplations on whether the task was truly as difficult as she was imagining. Once the boy called back to her and she was relatively certain that he would indeed like some assistance in this task, she too rose from her position on the rock to join him over by the shrubs. Peering down at the area he was probing through with his foot, the girl kneeled and pulled the foliage back so she would be able to see down through the entire plant.
There in the shadow of the plant she saw, sticking out of the ground, the head of the tubur Rhiam was looking for. Or so she figured - the girl had only had a quick glance at the plant; but she was relatively certain that this was the plant. With nimble, gloved fingers The child reached down and pulled the plant free from its place in the earth. After letting the shrub settle back into place, Tenma held the plant where Rhiam could see it as she looked up at him from her kneeling position. "Rhiam, this is the plant we are looking for, is it not?" If you're not sure, you ask whenever possible. A lesson taught to her by the spirit whose energy ran cooly through her veins.
