Qixel Erika continued walking, spying a rattata that glimmered in the morning sunlight out of the corner of her eye. Before she could turn to get a better look, it darted off. Sneaky little rats!When the rattata disappeared, in its place was another scrap.

Erika knelt down and picked up the scrap of paper. Reading over it quietly, she waved it about as she called out to the others. "Hey, there's another of those papers you guys've been findin' here!"

Genesis laughed. Fortunate indeed.
However, her mirth quickly faded in light of the circumstances. Many a strange thing was happening -- too many, some would say. The high concentration of mutations was startling, and though a basic understanding of genetics and evolution was all she needed to know that she and her Pokémon would not suffer the same, they had still consumed the food and water here...
"Did you see anything strange? In the cave, that is." She smiled at him, trying to hide the worries in her mind.
Though not very inclined to display his emotions, Ajax couldn't help but smirk with suppressed laughter at the pup's predicament.
"You can try rubbing it off, you know," he suggested, rubbing his cheek against the earth to demonstrate.
As a Riolu, he was able to pick up emotional cues more readily, and an ear flickered towards his trainer when he sensed her shift in demeanor. But before he could discover the source of her worries, he saw a Rattata in the bushes nearby. He did little more than make eye contact with it, but it arched its back and hissed at him before darting off.Sneaky little rats!

Cara was just looking around the scenery. Keeping an eye on everything and she saw Remmy running towards some bushes. She looked in the bushes and was surprised to see a Shiny Rattata. Huh...well that's something you don't see every day. She thought to herself.
She then heard a commotion after the Rattata disappeared, hearing something about there being another scrap of paper. She ran over and scanned it. Her eyes widened. "Oh. my. Arceus. He ATE a Buneary!!"

She spotted it just before it started to run off. Michelle had to grab Remy by the scruff when the Meowth almost lunged off her shoulders to chase the shiny Ratata. "Rems behave!" She scolded. When he calmed down and gave her an 'innocent' look, she looked over at Cara when she yelled someone ate a Buneary. Ah, another journal piece.

Skylar launched himself from Sienna's head and out of the cave as quickly as he could, that screech sending his reflexes into high gear. Sienna barely had any time to process it, but knew getting out of that cave was probably a good idea; they could have gotten lost or something! Plus it was super creepy. "Skylar, wait up!" She called after her pokemon. It was easy to follow the sound of his peeps and cries. "There, there," Sienna said, scooping Skylar up from his weary position on the ground. "Everything's alright, see, we're back with this big group of people,"

Cara glared slightly at Erika, letting out a very low growl and huff. She didn't like being called 'ponytail'. If she remembered right, this was the girl who had been drunk throughout most of the journey so far. "I'd rather eat bugs than a sentient being like a Pokemon." She then turned to Remmy, not entirely sure what to do, so she decided to go with the truth. "Erh, well it would appear that the guy who wrote the notes we've been finding....resorted to eating a Pokemon in order to survive....."

 Eros shook his head. "I certainly hope our own Pokémon suffer no ill effects. I can't imagine Dido any other way." He stroked the Skitty's head affectionately. The tiny feline was vain and haughty, but fiercely loyal and protective, even when clearly outmatched. She'd been with him the longest of all his Pokémon, and was undoubtedly the reigning queen of their little family. The other three, massive in comparison, followed close on Dido's heels and always looked to her for approval. When Dido spotted the Rattatta, she leaped down and darted after it -- and sauntered casually back, feigning disinterest, when it eluded her. Sneaky little rats!

Corbin thought about what he saw in the cave and gave a slight nod. "Only saw a Zubat... well a bunch of them and that was right before I left since we got chased out." He said thinking about them, "Couldn't really tell if there was anything strange about them or not." He looked around when he heard a hissing noise and spotted a shiny Rattata running off. Aaron tilted his head as he watched Ajax. Maybe it could help. He hopped out of Corbin's arm and then handed up his hat to his trainer. Then he was rolling about the sand trying to get rid of the stench.Sneaky little rats!

Katori froze at a rustling in the bushes, since most of the party were in the open it was odd, he stood, fists clenched, ready for anything when a shiny Rattata jumped out. "OH... Danae... stay" he whispered to her, not wanting to frighten the rare shiny creature. Sure it was 'only' a Rattata but he knew a lot of nice ones once. He was tempted to try and catch it but he just watched it for a moment. He glanced away from the rattata when someone yelled something about someone eating a Buneary... what?! ... just the thought of that made Katori feel sick, he hoped it wasn't true.

Erika decided against pointing out that Blaire was both a bug and a pokemon. "Have ya seen any bugs out here, let alone enough to eat? The buneary might've been his only choice. It's not exactly the 'Clockwork Paradise Full of Bounty', here, Ponytail.

"I do too, I couldn't Imagen if anything ever happened to change Keahi, he's been with me so long." Vana sighed as she heard arguing about eating pokemon, sadly it was rather common. Petted Keahi to calm him as she spoke. "Did you forget that there were Torchic Wings being served at lunch on the ship? Clearly people eating pokemon is not unheard of even when they are not desperate." She of course would never touch one, Torchics were far to cute to eat, why would anyone cut them up? "This trip seems to be getting worse and worse." She said returning her attention to Eros.

  Fifi noticed a moving patch of sandy brown, and nearly cooed with delight. While she didn't much care for the aggressive pokemon they were seeing, the simply unusual ones were adorable! And, Fifi had to admit, she had a weakness for special pokemon. Sneaky little rats!
