Noticing how the waiter looked at him, "I'm old enough to drink, do you wish to see proof or will you just take down the order?" he asked, as the waiter merely smiled and jotted down their orders. Leo Devellis  Slumming it in a booth was Leo, mulling over his situation. Being re-entered into the school was conditional to having his assets seized. Something he expected, but now he couldn't even afford a meal here and the weight of being poor settled in on him. Being a 23 re-entry dropout with no cash didn't feel good. He made virtually no progress about what happened to his parents even after all the years that had passed, and didn't even have any coin to show for it. Leo leaned up and took a swig from the glass of water he got from the service. "What a pain. At this point I'm going to need a partner, and somehow I think it's going to be even harder than before..." He played with the condensation on the side of the glass, making a feather on it. I knew you were going to be... full of surprises I guess... when we first met. If I didn't think I could deal with it then I wouldn't have agreed to be your partner." she tried to explain "Besides... if some of those things didn't happen the bond we have no wouldn't have been at strong and our partnership wouldn't have been as interesting." she said with a cheerful tone. Leo Devellis Shira and Atticus' conversation had lifted the ear of Leo. Hearing something out of the corner of his ear first just started as random words, but came clear like tuning on a radio, he forced himself after a while to listen. It sounded like Atticus had hit a 31 karat gold case of good luck. Leo wished he could've had a second chance like that, if so, he would have just left all together. She would've been fine without him, she was the popular one after all, and in the end he wouldn't care as long as he knew she was fine.... He ruffled the hat on his head and put it down on the table, his hair messed up a little. Leo let out a submissive sigh, forcing himself to let the thought go... Kai clapped with happiness when her food came. She wasted no time in starting to devour her mountain of fries. "What? Want some?" Kai offered before grinning. "Potatoes means starch. Starch means carbs. Carbs means fastest form of energy. And with the job we have we need all the energy we can get." she explained. "Speaking of which, there's our boss' daughter over there."
