She took his hand and shook it with a warm smile, she tried to hide her british accent

 Ryder tilted his head, tracing a slight accent in Aphrodite's speach. Purposely not letting go of Aphrodite's hand, he said ,'Why do you hide your accent, its ho--' He blushed and coughed, 'I mean flattering.'

She paused and stared at Ryder

She looked at Aphrodite confused

"Visitor as in Mistress Ivi? I will NOT sing for that..."
She stopped talking, she didn't want to bother causing a scene with so many people in the room

Aphrodite looked up at Ryder, with a flash of annoyance in her eyes
She hated the sound of her name
"Mistress Ivi is a woman with so much power it isn't even funny. If you don't please her, she'll find a way for EVERYONE to hate you. She's a bitter, self-fish diva."
