Brooklyn sighed as he spotted Bryan hanging around outside. He decided not to call his prescece to Tala's attention. He smiled as he bit into a cookie. "It looks like you spent a productive day." He said, gesturing to the many baked goods lying around the kitchen. "Are you a depressed cooker?" He asked.

Kai eyes opened instantly. Taki had touched his burn from the day before. "Ouch!" He said quietly, looking around himself until he remembered where he was. "'Morning, Taki." He said as tiredness began to wash over him again.

((*has just forgotten something* whose house did i mean when i wrote the last post? O.o))
Taki raised an eyebrow when Kai said ouch. "Um, sorry if i touched something and, " he sighed, "I'm even more sorry since it's time to get up and well, yer..."
He didn't want to say where Kai was going back to, it just sounded cruel in the morning.

Tala blinked and looked around. "I guess you could say that, " he grinned sheepishly. He sighed and picked up a cookie of his own.
"Is depressed eater included with that?"

Brooklyn nodded. "It is indeed." He took another bite of his cookie and smiled. "At least you bake good things when you're down. I burn everything." He smirked. "You should see the look on Garland's face when he comes home and I've been depressed and in the kitchen."

Kai bit his lip and nodded. "It's ok on both counts." He assured Taki. "You can't help it." He showed Taki the burn on his arm, the night before Taki obviously hadn't noticed it and he had touched it through the blankets. "It's rather impressive, isn't it." He said grimly as he swung his legs over the side of the bed and sat on it. He looked around the floor for his shirt.

Sacha woke from the slight doze he had gone into as the sun came through one of the labs windows. Where is Ralef? He wondered as he looked around.

((*thinks* hmmm...well bryan's outside anyways....HAH! i can work that in, its ok, i figured it out. xd ))
Taki narrowed his eyes at the burn. "I wouldn't use the word impressive to describe it," he said darkly.
He ran a hand through his hair. "We're late by the way, but take your time waking up, i feel like annoying Ralef this morning."

Tala smirked. "Better stay out of the kitchen next time, hmm?"
He ate his cookie slowly and looked out the window to where Bryan was. He ignored the lavender haired teen. "Normally, all this would probably be eaten by now. " He looked around at everything and shook his head.

Brooklyn smiled and reached for another cookie. "I, for one am glad that it's not eaten." He took a bite of the cookie and smiled. "It's not fair that you're such a good cook even when you're down."

Kai smiled as he fished around for his shirt on the floor. "Is there any time when you don't feel like annoying Ralef?" He asked ironically, shrugging into his shirt and standing up. "How late are we?" He asked, running a hand through his hair.

Kisa stirred and groaned as consciousness invaded her mind. What the hell? she wondered, cracking one eye open to look at her surroundings.

"actually i like it when i'm a country away from Ralef." He looked down at his watch and shrugged. "Oh, say, an hour and a bit. Maybe less though since he's never on time himself."

Tala gave Brooklyn a lopsided grin. "Jealous are we?"
He looked out the window and raised an eyebrow at Bryan. "So, why is he just sitting there again?"

Brooklyn shrugged and took another bite from his cookie. "Maybe he wants to talk to you but doesn't know how to." He suggested, finishing off the cookie and smiling. "Why not go outside and ask him?"

Kai raised his eyebrows. "Then I guess we probably should be going then, hm?" He asked, looking at Taki. "I think we're past the fashionably late mark, don't you?"

Kisa sat up slowly, trying to remember what happened. Why am I in my room? I was sure I was at-
A cold fear gripped her heart. Sacha! She thought desperately, falling out out her bed in her haste to stand up. She threw open her door and began bolting through the corridors of Biovolt, towards the labs on the vague suspicion that that was where Sacha had gone. Don't let me be too late. she pleaded.

Taki looked over his shouder at Kai. "Who said anything about being fashionable?"
He shrugged and opened his door, "But if your in such a big hurry to start another day of...whatever...then don't let me stop you."
He held it open, waiting for Kai.

Tala narrowed his eyes at Bryan and then sighed. "Right, whatever," He shrugged and grabbed Brooklyn's arm, "You're comming with me though."
He headed towards the stairs.

Brooklyn followed without question. I hope this is really what you wanted Bry.[/i[ he thought as he tried not to stumble down the stairs. He missed his footing on the last step and fell on top of Tala. "Ow." He groaned.

Kai walked through the door, straightening his shoulders as he did so. "It's not a matter of wanting whatever's going to happen." He told Taki. "I can't prevent it can I? So I may as well get it over and done with."
Kai gave Taki a grim smile. "Thanks for coming with me today." He said quietly.

"That's what they all say and then the next time they dread it," Taki exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air and getting odd looks from the few people who were passing by.
He closed his door and walked up next to Kai. "No problem, someone with some common sense has to be in that room or we all might be blown to china."
He started walked towards the labs. "Although, i think some people would like that."

"Oomf!" Tala let out as he went down with Brooklyn on top of him. He sighed. "I guess stairs aren't your thing either, eh?"
He blinked as a kitten walked up to him and batted his bangs. It belonged to the old lady that lived downstairs.

Brooklyn groaned and pushed himself up to sit on the offending step. "Either?" He asked, holding his hand out to the cat and smiling gently. "What do you mean by that?"

"I do dread it." Kai said truthfully, following Taki's lead to the labs. "I just can't think of any way out of it. Can you?" He asked, looking hopefully at Taki. "I don't enjoy being injected with random things that do something to my body that could possibly have permanent effect and I don't enjoy the feeling of being strapped to a table." Kai took a breath and sighed. "Sorry. I know you don't need to hear this from me." He said.

Kisa continued sprinting through the halls, frowning when she began to get out of breath. I should have kept up my training when I was with Bryan she admonished herself as she forced her legs to speed up. She imagined Sacha's face if he knew she hadn't trained in months.

Ralef grumbled as he walked down the hallways. What was the point of testing if he wasn't going to look at them anyway?
He reached the door to the lab and opened it.

"No, its ok. Complain all you like, " he turned his head to grin, "I'm not really listening anyways." He faced forwards again and thought. "I could offer you a spoon but i don't have one on me," he said thoughtfully.

The kitten bounded over to the offered hand and batted at the fingers. Tala rolled over and propped his head up on his hand. "Like the depressed cooking, depressed stair skipping doesn't work for you either."

Brooklyn smiled genuinely and scooped up the kitten, depositing it on his lap and playing with it. "Hm?" He asked absently, concentrating on the adorable fluffball of cuteness.

"Spoon?" Kai asked curiously, trying to figure out what Taki was going on about now. He saw the door of the lab and forced himself to not run away. It was so much scarier close up. He steeled himself as he continued to walk closer to the doors. Whatever happens, I can handle it he decided.
Kisa ran full on into Taki. "WAH!" She yelled as she fell A over T painfully. She groaned as she sat up. "What the hell are you doing here?" She asked before she saw Kai. "Oh." She said shortly

Sacha looked up as Ralef entered the room. "It took you long enough." He said shortly.

Ralef blinked at Sacha. "Eh? What are...oh! i knew i forgot something..."
He snorted. "Heh, forgot something, who am i kidding, There needs to be something there for me to forget in the first place."

Taki blinked down at Kisa. "Good morning to you too," he said before offereing a hand to Kisa. "And yes, oh, would be Kai. What are you doing here?"

Tala blinked at Brooklyn and grinned slightly. "Hello, earth to Brooklyn."

Brooklyn smiled at the kitten and allowed it to try and attack his hand with it ferocious tiny teeth. "Yeah?" He asked, looking at Tala before looking down at the cat who was trying to give his hand serious injury. "That tickles, you know." He told it with a smile.

"They're assimilating S-" She checked herself "#1096 into Kai today and I can't let that happen." She said desperately, turning toward the door and sizing it up. "We can't let that happen to him." She told Taki, looking up at him.
Kai frowned. "What?" He asked, trying to figure out what the hell was happening.

Sacha raised an eyebrow. "Oh sorry, was that meant to hurt my feelings?" He asked, looking innocently at Ralef. "You're going to have to do a lot better than that." He informed the doctor.
