 RicoThe Charizard slowly soared through the air, allowing the cold breeze to brush across the lovers.
"I'm surprised it all came so natural to me... I expected I'd need practice or something..."
His wings flapped gently, he was careful not to disturb the Grovyle on his back.
He let out the deep growl of a dragon when his shoulders were rubbed.
Holy hot damn, that felt nice~
He hoped it didn't relax him too much.

"That's pretty good to know right about now."
Kewnew noted with a much lighter chuckle than what she would have been able to pull off at the beginning of this adventure; the Grovyle was truly enjoying herself. The sets of leaves on each of her sides and the elongated planty appendage on her head were beginning to show signs of frosting over on the tips; needless to say this was a strange feeling for a grass type which she didn't care for, but considering the circumstances she was willing to pass off the chilling conditions without further notice. Simply solving the problem by pressing her body against Rico once more, warmth radiating from his being which she showed her gratitude for by placing a delicate kiss on his neck.

RicoRico closed his eyes, a deep growl emanating from his body.
There was nothing this high in the sky to fly into, so he could afford to relax as soon as his wings were still flapping.
"I was born for this..." He murred.
"I always figured a Grovyle would look beautiful soaring through the sky...~"

"Yeah...Well she might not be for long if the designated driver doesn't keep up the good job."
Kewnew hinted ever so slightly as she heard Rico's heart rate slowing from her position on his back signifying that he was getting a bit lax; this to her was hardly a good sign especially for his first flight. There wasn't much room here to get cocky or gutsy.
"You sure there's enough oxygen up here for you to be at this, this long? Maybe we should be cautious until next time when we're sure how much energy a decent landing is going to take out of you..."
Maybe it wasn't the best choice of words questioning a man's stamina and all, but Kewnew's worry was sincere and hopefully the point would get across rather than Rico deciding to get a little too showy for his girl...

RicoThe Charizard opened his eyes, arching his long neck to look back at Kewnew.
"Yeah... I guess you're right," He said with a gentle nod.
"Hold on, I'll try not to go too fast."
He then pointed himself at an angle towards the ground.
Spreading his wings out, they began to soar toward the earth.

The sudden change in direction was undoubtedly unpleasant for a moment as Kewnew found herself struggling to keep her grasp once again, but keeping her safely latched on this time was the insurance that they were going to be grounded soon enough. Strangely though she found herself with the feeling that she would be missing the view very soon, cocking her head back she got one last glimpse of the moon outshining the distant stars behind it before they dove through the cloud cover.

RicoAs they were nearing the ground, Rico came to a sudden realization.
"... I have no idea what I'm doing."
Last time he had landed, he had only been three feet off the ground.
This was quite a different story.
"Uhhh..."
The ground was coming fast, and he knew he had to protect Kewnew.
So, about six feet from the unforgiving ground, he pulled up a bit, parallel to the earth, yet still losing altitude.
His body began to slide on the ground as he crashed landed, but Kewnew would find herself safe on his back.
Rico, however, was experiencing the pain of a lifetime.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow...." He growled as they came to a halt.

As their decent continued, Kewnew sensed something was wrong. The body supporting her through this flight began to seem unsure of his actions and in a split second decision ended up ripping a clean line across the grass of the courtyard. The Grovyle winced as she could feel the friction of Rico's improvised landing shake the Charizard's helpless body. Thankfully they stopped sliding before hitting anything solid but the experience as a whole nevertheless couldn't have turned out good for poor Rico. As soon as they came to a definite halt, Kewnew gently dismounted and raced around to the end of Rico's extended neck, kneeling down before him and speaking in a worried tone.
"A-are you alright?"
She stuttered out, panicked.

RicoThe panting Charizard rolled onto his back, groaning.
He wasn't seriously injured, just a bit scratched up.
"I need to work on my landings..." He muttered, sitting up.
He stretched out his wing and curled it around Kewnew.
"Don't worry, I'm fine~"

Kewnew let out a sigh of thankful relief, allowing herself to be held by Rico contently.
"Maybe just a little."
She responded with a light chuckle, as long as he wasn't injured too bad it was well worth busting on. Lying against the Charizard's body she looked up to the sky and caught a glimpse of the moon appearing momentarily through the heavy cloud covering. For a moment she was awestruck at how far away it now looked. The memory of it once being so close would surely be kept with her forever and she even hoped to maybe return soon once Rico got a bit more practice in.
"That was amazing though."
She voiced her gratitude, making sure to end on a high note rather than downing her love.

RicoRico held his love close, lying back and looking up at the sky.
"The best part hasn't even started..." He said softly.
He turned his head and closed his eyes, gently placing a kiss upon the Grovyle's lips.
All the fighting this guild had to deal with could never change the fact that he'd never leave as long as his Kewnew was present.

 FadeFade Walked across the courtyard. He sighed lightly. He wondered where Roxas had gone to? He wasnt for sure but he did seem to wander. He missed the Old Chatue, he wondered if he would have to go back there to find her? He wasnt sure so he continued walking across the courtyard as content as could be.

Kewnew accepted and returned the kiss, allowing herself to be curled up by her love's much larger and warm body on such a chilling night. The frost that accumulated along her body in flight was slowly starting to melt away as she entered a state of complete relaxation.
"Rico..."
She began, addressing the Charizard though she had to take a moment to formulate her next words. It seemed he had other things on his mind at the moment; but she couldn't help but let her thoughts wander away from the romantic moment. Not to mention she sensed the presence of someone else having entered the immediate vicinity, public affection hardly being appropriate because of this.
"Should I evolve?"
She inquired, hoping to get some sort of feedback. The idea always chewed away at her; but seeing Rico now it was apparent more than ever that she had to make a choice. She was truly content with what she was now, but as she seen out of him power would most likely come her way if she chose to. Would Rico still love her though?

RicoThe Charizard murred against his love, nuzzling her.
"... Whether you evolve or not, it doesn't matter to me," He said softly.
"You do what you feel you should, I'll never stop loving you~"
His eyes flickered over to the new guest, and he curled up his wings a little more to cover them both.
