Annie raised a brow and replied first to Shane half sarcastically, "I can consume poisons and drugs with no apparent ill or beneficial affect to my body. So to some degree I suppose I can already purify water. A cozy feeling to have whenever humanity completely poisons the world."
Then, she turned her attention to the brunette nurse quickly speaking up, "Yeah, I can tell you a bit about her, Miss. This girl is Miss Lily Stinson a student at the university who hadn't come into contact with the meteor but learned from one of my friends about those of us who are meta-humans. She got mixed up in the cross fire between me and what I would assume to be a level two meta-human that controls electricity."
"She came into contact with the equivalent of pure acid rain produced by my abilities," continued Annie, biting her lip. "I have always assumed it was just hydrochloric acid, but judging by the fact it can do tissue damage such as this and what little I have read, it could Hydrofluoric Acid or even Nitric acid or Sulfuric acid... I'm not so good with chemicals and what not. I'm a social science and art major, sorry..."
Taking a deep breath she continued, "Anyhow, all the acid is gone now and has been reverted back to water, so that much of the procedure is fine. When it comes to whenever I get acid burns usually I just let nature run its course and let my body heal them on their own..."

The young lady steps toward Lily and examines the unclothed portions of her body. She addresses Shane without looking up, "Shane, could you please step out for a moment? You know how it is."
He nods and turns to leave. He says to Annie, "If you nee anything I will be right outside."
The nurse waits for Shane to leave, then asks Annie, "Could you help me disrobe her? I need to see the full extent of the damage."

"Of course," said Annie, bowing her head. Calmly she slipped off Lily's boots and socks. Waiting for Margret's help, to work on her jacket, shirt, and pants. Quietly, as she worked, Annie asked, "How did you come to be here, Miss?"

Margret talks as she examines Lily's body, "You're probably thinking that I am forced to work here. I used to feel the same way about Valhalla. On the contrary, I am here on a purely voluntary basis. You see, all of the instructors of this university's science department are members of the facility staff. I came to my med school professor when I found out what I can do. He was the only professional I could really trust. He told me about this place, and here I am."
After examining Lily she nods and places her hands over Lily's body. A warm glow emanates from her hands as her powers begin to work. "What you are seeing now are billions of microscopic particles that will stimulate Lily's cells into a hyperactive state, thus removing the scars and any damage that may have been a result of the acid. As a side effect, she is also going to be a few pounds lighter."

"Remind me to go to you before my next modeling for a fellow art student," joked Annie. "Anyhow, I didn't really think you were forced to work here, more like mislead to work here. And, don't you think it is different for an obviously good power holder verses someone with a destructive power? I used my powers in fear and have already had my powers been tried to take advantage of. I can kill someone with my powers-"
She waved her hand at Lily, "I hurt others with my powers. At one time all I wanted was to be normal, things to go back to how they were." She forced a smile, "But now I have to make up for my mistakes, and the only way I can see doing that is to use my powers to take down those who are evil."

The burns on Lily's body begin to dissipate slowly, as if time were being sped up just for her wounds. Margaret sighs, You and I aren't all that different, power class aside. When I first discovered what I could do, it was after I had aged my dog to the point where he was almost a mummy. My primary ability is speeding up cell growth and destruction, ie aging. It took me a long time, and a lot of hard work, to focus my power on just reconstruction. Like I said though, it isn't without it's side effects. Do you see the man behind you, the one with the huge gash in his arm? He used to be a lot heavier set. My reconstructive power burns through calories like you wouldn't believe, and he is in here a lot. There is only a finite number of times I can do this for someone before long term damage starts to set in."
She bites her bottom lip with contemplation. "I overheard you talking with Shane about your power. You said that you're immune to poison, right? Well maybe if you develop your power a bit more, you may be able to save someone who is poisoned. Change the deadly substance into water, that sort of thing."
She shakes her head and removes her hands as the glow subsides from Lily. "It's all just speculation of course, but you don't seem like the sort of person who is destined to just destroy." She smiles kindly and looks down at Lily, "All done here. She should wake up shortly. Is there anything else I can do for you?"

"I see," Annie said quietly. "And technically I'm not just immune to poison, I am also immune to the effects of drugs. All-nighters suck when you can't use caffeine."
She smiled some at Margaret's words and replied, "I'm an artist, of course I'm not destined to destroy. I create. Or I did more of that before I got my powers. I am pretty good at the whole destructive thing."
Turning away, she sighed, and said, "I'm going to go see Shane. I wish to speak to him alone, if that is alright, okay, ma'am?"

Margaret bows her head respectively, "Certainly, I will be in the are aif you need anything else. It was nice to meet you." She places a blanket over Lily to cover her up and keep her warm.
She pulls the curtain closed and takes her leave. A few seconds later Shane comes back and looks at Lily, "When I heard you say Miss Stinson, something in the back of my head told me it was her."

"What do you mean?" Annie asked turning at Shane's presence. "You make it sound like something about her is special? I wouldn't be surprised if she was one of your students but still..."
Annie looked perplexed as she crossed her arms and sighed. "Are you going to further anger at me because I harmed one of your students?"

The dream continued as Lily looked at all the death and decey around her. Her eyes widen as she stepped backwards, her mind not wanting to believe the black and white images before her. Then she bumped into what she thought was the younger version of herself, only thing that alarmed her was she felt this person against her back.
Slowly, Lily turned to see who it was she bumped into, she looked up seeing the twisted and deformed face of Leviathan, his lips twisted in the most awful grins, a little black box that looked as if it was being charged with electricity in his hands.
The girl gasped as she looked at him, her mind recognizing the box as a bomb. She began to shake her head no, turning away from the man to run, knowing that the bomb would be going off at any point and time.
Lily's loud scream echoed through the room as she jolted upward in the bed. More shock over the fact she wasn't in her dorm room anymore, fear began to rip at her chest as she looked around the room, recognizing it as a care unit of some sort. Had her dream been true? Had Leviathan really detonated a bomb and she was injured by it? She shook her head, looking down at her hands, seeing that the burns where gone..
"Where the hell am I! Where is Annie! What's going one!?" Her voice screamed once again as she looked around in a panic, her heart was beating 90 to nothing. She was going to go into shock if she didn't settle down. First the abrupt, and vivid dream, then waking up in a place she didn't remember coming too. It was all too much.

Shane shakes his head, "Wont do that. You seem to be giving yourself enough grief as it is. Coincidentally she is one of my students. They don't think I do, but I listen to some of the little conversation they have on the side when they are supposed to be watching a presentation. She is a bit of a thrill seeker, and seems to have a knack for finding trouble. So yea, I'm not entirely surprised that-"
He is cut off by Lily's sudden screams. He holds his hands up and waves at her to get her attention, "Lily, please calm down. You're safe and Annie is right beside you."

Annie spun around at Lily's shouts and panicking that interrupted what Shane was saying. Quickly she pushed past Shane, and jumped on the bed straddling the girl and grabbing her wrists and pinning her to the bed, "Jesus, girl, calm down. You're gonna give yourself a heart-attack."
"You're in a lab underground the university for meta-humans in the medical room," explained Annie quickly her accent, which she usually covered up was painfully obvious. "You were delusional an' I had to take ya' somewhere. I called Gidge's older brother and he let me take ya' here."
"You're fine," She said, "Just take deep breaths." Her voice sharpened and she said smiling, "If you don't calm down in the count of five I'm going to knock you out, okay? Calm down an' I'll get off of you, 'kay? One..."

Lily's eyes widen as she looked at the small girl who was on top of her. It instantly shut her up, then she averted her attention to Shane, who she immediately recognized, she shook her head in disbelief at seeing him, her brown eyes widening as she took a deep breath just as Annie had asked.
"Mr. Morrison? " She asked in confusion, not getting why she was seeing a teacher of all people in a under ground facility, unless he was like Annie.. She shook her head again, pulling the sheeted blanket around her, realizing now in the presence of a man, a man she knew, that she didn't have anything appropriate to be wearing.
"Annie.. I just.. I can't... I need to get out of this place." she stated in a more calm tone, she was feeling better now, just a bit dizzy from the dream, and then waking up in a strange place. "Sorry for over reacting. It's just the dream I had.. It was like the one I had before my dad died.. I.." she sighed, feeling the tears build up in her eyes as she layed back down on the bed, her eyes averted to the ceiling.
Then it hit her, the box that Lev had in her dream, the bomb. She had seen it on him the last time they had a encounter. It was the backpack he had on his back. She sat up quicker then anyone should, almost knocking Annie off her lap. "Leviathan has a bomb. He is going to blow something up, don't know what yet. But I know this Annie. You have to believe me. " she got out far too fast for anyone to quiet follow.

Shane reaches out for her in a futility while shouting, "Lily wait!"
Hearing the shouting and commotion, the thread doctor looks over in the direction of the new patient. He sees her running right for him, but at the same time with a look of intense fear and a need to escape. He throws his hands out and summons hundreds of minuscule threads out toward Lily. They loop around each other, increasing their girth so that they do not cut into her. They snake out toward her wrists and ankles as he snaps, "No one has cleared you yet young lady. This may not be a certified hospital, but I'll be damned if anyone is going to leave before I give them a clean bill of health and a lollipop."

Annie turned around on the bed, shocked by Lily's sudden movement, even though she was sure she could have overpowered her if she was prepared. She took a deep breath of relief as the doctor tied her up and told her that she needed a clean bill of health AND a lollipop.
Getting off the bed, and bushing her auburn hair out of her eyes and behind her ears she approached Lily, "Alright, let's say that Mr. Cortez does have a bomb- which wouldn't really surprise me... what the Hell are you going to do about it? The guy took pure acid rain on his skin and in his blood stream and didn't bat an eye. Do you honestly think you can do something to stop him?"
Turning away from Lily she thought aloud to herself calmly and quietly, pulling out the business card that the reporter had given her, "Why don't we just give a general report to the public warning about Mr. Cortez? I have that business card that reporter gave me and despite the fact she seemed like the type to do anything for a story, she did seem honest enough... and almost like she too might have been affected by the meteor. I can't imagine why else someone like that would be trying to find out more about something that is old news... it is like beating a dead horse."
