Ginji rolled his eyes. "Ok...I remember all that. What I was trying to figure out, was why a light bringer, albeit one in training, decided to team up with me, a vampire of darkness, of all the possible people. Eh, whatever, it doesn't matter. I doubt I'll ever even come back to this place anyway, or be recognized. But it'll pass the time. Being immortal kinda makes it so you run out of things to do every now and then..." Ginji stood back up and started walking. "So, Mr. Hero-to-be, which way should we be going?"

Ginji thought back to the other day, or tried to at least. His memory hadn't been at ti's best lately, and he had actually been having some slight trouble remembering most of his most powerful spells. In fact, with each passing day that they spent looking for this artifact, the close they got, Ginji felt himself becoming less powerful. He had thought it might have just been the moon phase, but after thinking on it for a while, he supposed that it might well be their getting closer to the artifact that caused it. He would never admit to Cross that the main reason he spared him was that he couldn't kill him the way he had wanted too. "Yeah...I dunno why you're still alive either....But lot's not do anything to change my mind, eh?" Ginji laughed. It was true, they were friends now. Being an immortal vampire lord had the tenancy to long outlive most friends and allies, so meeting a new face was always entertaining. His thoughts slipped darker as he thought about the future. I wonder...if things go wrong...Will I ever even see him again?
Ginji looked up and caught up to Cross. "Ya know, you'd think you'd have that memorized by now, seeing how you study it so much...

Ginji sighed, and tried a mid level spell, just to see if it would work. "Haj kay ni!"* he called out loud, and was happil surprised to see a dark trail of shadows appear at his feeet, going back in the direction they had come from, and then off the path into the trees. "Hey! Cross! It seems like you might have set it down, back when you went to use the bushes over there..."


*Haj kay ni = "find his target"

Ginji's eyes narrowed as he quickly summoned both of his katana's, and pressed his back against Cross's. "Well, someone took the map and put it over there, because that's what the spell was for...to find what ever we were looking for, and in this case it's the map. Either that, or we just found some trouble instead."

((well, it's not that I mind...but I have no idea if I should just attempt to fight, or give up and see what happens XD))

(yeah...I think I'll go with a different tact...) Ginji looked at the stranger with a mixture of fear and awe. "Holy s**t....That was awesome! I've been trying to do that for days! Where does your power come from?" he asked, thinking that perhaps the stranger knew where this "artifact of power" might be. And perhaps, if he could get on his good side, he just might have a chance to make sure that Cross didn't die.

Ginji sighed, not exactly liking his tone. "Ok, here's a few reasons. 1) You can't kill something that's already dead. 2) We had no idea we were on your land. and 3) You don't really wanna be the one carrying his body where ever you plan on taking us, do you? and 4) Despite the fact that you guys have been draining my power, I'm a vampire lord. An influential one at that. We might be able to help each other out somehow."
