If the UGMF are different to the Halo ranks, then I would very much like those in UGMF to never try to correct us.

Red and Silver Death Silbervane Lt-Schalton Silbervane Delta 8O8 They can either be NCOIC's but most of the time their official title is: "SNCO" aka Senior Non-Commissioned Officer ..just throwing that out there It doesn't matter if there are 20 SNCOs, there has to be one with the title NCOIC or SNCOIC. Without the IC=In Command, then they can have someone they report to, and without an S/NCOIC, then even two S/NCOs would be a hassle to deal with. SNCO doesn't mean anything except that they are an E7 or higher. SNCOIC means they are in command of the particular group they work with, even if there are three other SNCOs of the exact same rank. I have a question for you, btw. What rank is that in your sig on that Gaia Military thing? That'd be Sergeant Major, E-8/9Actually, its the rank of First Sergeant, which is an E8. Unlike the other branches, the Army has a single rank for First Sergeant whereas the Air Force and other branches don't have a full rank for First Sergeant, its simply a duty taken on by Master Sergeants or above, much similiar to a chaplain service for officers. I don't mean to be rude and correct everything all the time, but I have a fierce mindset of the military, being that I am enlisted Air Force, and when people mistake things, I feel the need to correct them. I apologize if I have ever come across as harsh or rude, but I mean no offense, I just don't like to see people think they know something when they are just guessing at it. Btw vane, the UGMF ranks are TOTALLY different. Excuse me if I seem rude saying this, but when I seea picture of an US Military Rank somewhere and someone is claiming it as their own, I don't care what they call it if they belong to a gang or a club, I want to make sure they know what rank they are dealing with, because even if the UGMF ranks call that rank a Super-Duper Sergeant Specialist, the US Armed Forces recognize it as a First Sergeant in the US Army.

There is no trying to explain that, if Gaia wants to butcher the US Armed Forces rank system, then by all means let them, we didn't put a copyright on it, but I am not going to sit by and let people think that the insignia in Delta's signature is anything but the US Army enlisted rank of First Sergeant.

I got something better than Recon. I defeated the Pimp Chieftain. No joke. Here The glitch happened to the Bungie team while the game was still in development. They said it was fixed. I guess the glitch was still there deep in the coding.

King Smeagol Because your character is younger, which usually means less experience, hence the lower rank. That should not apply to me because I made a new RPC for this new plot, I'm not using a younger version of my original RPC...

Dawning Blossom King Smeagol Because your character is younger, which usually means less experience, hence the lower rank. That should not apply to me because I made a new RPC for this new plot, I'm not using a younger version of my original RPC... It applies to everyone, people's rank, at least in this guild, is determined by the character's age (we are assuming that everyone joined the UNSC around 17-19 years of age) and their service record (AKA Biography). If a person is 24 years old and has a simple "I finished High School and joined the UNSC", then they will be froman E3-E4. The biggest determining factor is the service record (AKA Biography). If someone is given the rank of Sergeant Major and their service record doesn't give any details on the actions that character performed to excel and receive recommendations and promotions by an officer, then they don't belong in that rank, and will be placed lower. On the other side of the coin, if someone was given the rank of Staff Sergeant and their service record (AKA Biography) is stellar in performance of their duties, and any past events that may have affected their current life (i.e. Took part in quelling a mercenary gathering threatening to attack a UEG Embassy), then they will either be allowed to keep their rank or possibly receive a higher rank. This does not mean that you can go willingly change your service record (AKA Biography) to make it seem extravagent so that you are a higher rank - the military doesn't work like that, and that's what the standards for the guild are held to. Integrity First, Service before Self, and Excellence in All We Do; the core values of the US Air Force, something I live by every single waking moment of my life. I am not expecting, nor am I forcing anyone, to live up to the standards of the US Military, but please act professional, treat others with respect, and do the right thing even when no one is watching. So, in conclusion... (I always wanted to say that ^^) everyone's character is looked over for every single little speck of dust and dirt in their file to see if they are worthy of their rank, and if deemed otherwise, then please accept these demotions not as a punishment, but as a means to equalize the roleplaying field so we don't have ten NCOs running around like crazy. I'd like to use a personal example of why we don't have lots of NCOs and up out in te field. New enlisted personnel from E1 to E4 need the experience out on the field to get a handle on their job. E5 and E6 can somtimes be seen working in the field, but once someone becomes an E7, that person has officially become the newest desk-jockey for their commander. The ratio of low ranking to NCOs is about five E1-E4 to every one E5-E6. I understand that in this guild, we are at war with an alien race and that will get the SNCOs (E7 and up) off their asses and working in the field as well. So the ratio for SNCOs is much smaller. It is about twenty E1-E4 to every E7 and up. So if this latest roleplay was concerning only one sqaudron, then we should see about 20-40 E1s to E4s, 1-3 E5/E6, and 1-2 E7 or higher. This ratio if way out of kilter for this roleplay, and not to try to justify anything, but this is taken into consideration when we look at demotions, not based on performance, but on other grounds (experience, personality, Service Record)

My RPC is 32 and has been in the UNSC for 15 years, it might help if you look at the profiles before blasting away...

That still doesn't matter. You were given the rank of Sergeant or E-5 on your Marine qualification test. If you give yourself a higher rank, you will be penalized. This is your first and only warning. Any further abuse will result in immediate removal from the guild. Do I make myself clear?

I'm not! I was asking why I would demoted a few ranks if Smeagol just gave me the rank?

BLAND AND CLICHE GETS PEOPLE NOTHING. Does that clarify anything?
