Tjaden listened to the man's story, one hand on the door in a reverent manner. He knew that Beremond had made the right decision, but it had been a tough one. It is the guilt and conflict that tears in the soul of every champion of justice; that not everyone who deserves it can be saved.
It also gave him insight into what he faced...it knew more about him than he may even know about himself. He was not about to step through a door, but into a mirror where the truth about himself will be revealed, perhaps not in its entirety, but in some small part. He would have to be determined but open, resilient but accepting, marrying the immovable Orcish strength with the all-inclusive view of Justice.
Tjaden pushed on the door.

((Sorry for my absence.)) Selce walked forwardy steadily. When she neared the Archmage she remove the cloak that wrapped it. There it was the Dragon's Eye in all it's terrible glory. "I hope it is all you thought it would be." She said lightly before moving to hand the Eye to her. She remembered what she had felt when she had put some of her own strength into it and shivered despite herself.

Archmage Alanna gazed upon the orb as it was transferred to her hands. She, unlike, Selce, was not sent to a different state of mind, she simply caressed the smooth edges of the artifact, almost lovingly.
"It... is even greater than I imagined. With this, we will be able to contact our forces and allies throughout the entire Crescent. The Dragon's Eye will serve our cause well. You have my deepest level of gratitude."
She smiled in a curious manner before returning to her typical nonchalant appearance as she placed the orb onto a pedestal that had just arisen from the floor, made from her very will. Returning her gaze to them, she gave a quick bow before she re-addressed the group.
"Ah and your reward. You have done well, please go to Cervantes in the main hall and he will show you to the Repository. You may choose a weapon for each of you from our magical storage. I will not hold anything against you for the ruckus in the Trade District, as the Fate Tower is disconnected from the affairs of the commoners. Now, go get your rewards, adventurers, I must begin my research of this artifact."
Erron, Selce, Tjaden, Kal, Laren and Brurag have all received a level up! (Message me to gain your new abilities)

Selce smiled happily at the Archmage. She was amazed at the woman's force of will, she had resisted the pull of the Eye when Selce hadn't been able to. A new respect for this woman blossomed and she bowed lowly before moving out of the room onto the area they had just recently vacated.

Erron returned the bow deeply before heading over to stand nearby the teleport with Selce. "What....did you see when you touched the orb? It seemed as if you were gone from your very body...."

Laren smiled, gave the arch-mage a respectful bow, and left through the teleporter as well. A question crossed her mind but she held her piece because what Erron and Selce were discussing seemed important.

Kal turned and was the first to not bow. He'd just gone where none of them had dared to go and had sacrificed his life, he felt he deserved the reward. He went through the portal, growing slightly accustomed to the nausea. He listened to the conversation with mild apathy. It didn't involve him or anything he could steal.

Brurag still did not understand any of this. Some magical orb? Who was this that spoke to them? He shook his head and confusion. He was happy when he heard that he would be getting a new weapon but still frustrated that he still was without armor. He simply turned walked towards the portal, stopping for a moment to observe it. He uncomfortably shuffled through the strange thing, feeling sick to his stomach for a moment when he appeared on the other side.

As the party walked out of the teleport Cervantes approached them "I have received word from the Mistress to take you to the Vault....come, follow me" He slowly walked over to a seemingly regular wall and ran his index finger's exceptionally long nail straight down, the wall evaporated before him and he led the party through the now apparent portal
"Only people with permission may enter this way, we have had thieves who had witnessed the opening of the entrance attempt to break in, but there are several magical wards upon the entrance and along the way to the Vault...I tell you it is no small feat cleaning up after an Explosive Flame Ward is tripped, it took weeks to get the entrails off of the walls and ceiling..." Cervantes chuckled at this particular memory
As they were led down the hall they caught glimpses of storage rooms of strange and arcane things: A room full of dusty shelved books and scrolled, millennia old, records of legends, demi gods and prophecies. Another room was dedicated to storing materials for summoning and spell casting, piles of dragon bones and cauldrons of ectoplasm lined the walls amongst shelves of jarred objects floating in too dark a matter to readily identify.
"Ah! Here we are! Give me a second as I recite the pass code...what was it now....I certainly hope for all our sakes I get it right..." Certanves mutters something no member of the party could make out close to an ear shaped engraving in an ornate silver door depicting a table of sages sitting and discussing something, what they were talking about only they would have known.

((Kaiten that was great.))
Cervantes led the group through the ornate doorway into the Magical Repository, a very large circular chamber with numerous archways and side passages.
"If you will please give me one moment, I will go and retrieve the items you may choose from, warranted by the archmage. Fret not for your other orc friend, I have been authorized to grant you his reward as well."
With that, he disappeared for a short while when suddenly weapons, items and miscellaneous objects floated seemingly of their own accord to the center of the room where the party was stationed.
They all lay neatly in a row in front of each member, Cervantes appearing once more from one of the many archways.
"There we are. You may select either of the two items seated in front of you. After you choose, you may not change your mind, as the other will return immediately to its resting place."
Reward Options:
Erron: Robes of Sain: Grants the wearer a second guaranteed attack after a successful hit. Belt of Jin: Increases Armor significantly. (Current stats in addition to this would be equal to splint mail, for Erron)
Selce: Greatstaff of the Culling(Staff): Allows the wielder to cast Grandolus' Gift once per day. (Sends a bolt of negative energy at a target, which must save or die, scales with enemy level. Higher level enemies and bosses are immune) Eyeglass of Identity(Headpiece): Infinite use of Identify without wasting more than one spell slot.
Tjaden: Shield of the Savior(Shield): Decreases all damage taken by 25%. Guarded Attack now also shields one nearby ally as well. Trollbane(Greatsword, 2H): Grants minor regeneration to the wielder, able to ignite in flames at will, granting additional damage.
Laren: Herald(Longsword): Grants Preemptive Strike, opening attack of any battle is guaranteed, but incapable of a critical hit. Cloak of Feathers: 10% Magic Resistance, Increased chance to Hide in Shadows.
Kal: Trickster's Mask(Headpiece): Creates a copy of the wielder, the copy deals 50% of the original's damage but receives double the damage. Magnetic Gloves(Gloves): Removes chance of failure when pickpocketing small items.
Brurag: Twin-Ax of Draconic Fury(Greatax, 2H): Capable of massive criticals. The Caller's Ax(Hand Ax, 1H): Increased damage, can be thrown and willed back into the hands of the wielder.

Kal turned to the group. "Anyone know what the cloak we picked up does yet?" he asked. If the item that he chose was for him, he'd choose the gloves. But if he could give the party one of his two things, in return for the cloak, which he was thinking about, he might. It depended on the cloak's ability.
He also hoped Laren would choose the Cloak of Feathers. It would give him a partner in the shadows. And they did need their archer, another close combat person was close to worthless. They had three close combat people(The two Orcs and the monk), one in the shadows(himself), one archer(the elf), and one mage(Selce). They needed to have the archer there for long distance attacking and staying alive.
((Editted, better?)) ((Ummm, what's DPS?))

Ninja Zackeus And they did need their archer, another close combat person was close to worthless. They had three close combat people, one in the shadows, one archer, and one mage. As well as the fact that an archer is good, but an archer in the shadows is great. Added fact of critical hit. ((That is completely breaking "The Fourth Wall" i.e. he is talking *even if its in his own thoughts* in a manner that references game mechanics, he's not thinking tactically, he is literally thinking in an RPG mechanical fashion. If I hear We need another good DPS, I will flip out. Guaranteed. EDIT: DPS = Damage Per Second, a MMORPG term. Typically used to gauge epeen size.))

Kal had a point about the cloak but the rest of the talk of critical hits went over his head
"I do suppose since we finished carrying the orb we should get around to actually identifying the cloak, it would help decide for some of us."
Erron eyes the belt and the robes with equal admiration, he reached out for the Belt of Jin supposing it would be the best choice, things weren't going to get easier.

((Think the eyeglass is worth it? Or able to help more by attacking with the staff?))
Selce looked at Erron. "To be honest, I don't think I was in my body. I...I saw the Destroyer. A dragon larger than any other and the world nothing but flames and emptiness. I started to fall, and you shook me. I don't know what would of happened had I hit." She answered truthfully, unsure of if she had seen somewhere in the future. The memory caused her to shudder in the feeling of terror it seemed to exude.
Turning to look at what Cervantes presented them to take her mind away from thinking about it. Selce set the cloak down and cast the minor dweomer on the cloak, she was very close to exhausting her supply of weaker spells but figured after this they could rest and she'd be able to study her spellbook. She studied the items that had been offered to her and pondered them thoughtfully. She was unsure and so began to turn over the good and bad of each item.

((To be honest I would take the eyeglass, if I was in your position Zero. While the staff will be good in the short term, killing off one enemy per day, it looks to me that it, like all weapons, will soon be abandoned for a stronger verson. The eyeglass however looks as if it has an indefinate life span of usefulness. Thats just me however.))
Laren looked at the sword and cloak with wonder. A sword that allowed her to strike before any of her enemies would be a great asset indeed on the battle field. An old friend once told her, "Strike true, and first, and you shall win a thousand battles," she couldn't help but mouth that sentiment as she looked at the blade.
Turning towards the cloak however, she couldn't help but think of how easily she could catch her targets unawares. The arrow that is unseen is the deadlies of all, after all. She couldn't decide and looked around at this rag-tag group that she found herself in to help her choose. She considered everything she had seen while her new comrades were fighting and how they dealt with each threat as they came along. Slowly she came to realize, that throughout each of their encouters in the tomb she had hung back and let Erron and Tajden take most of the close combat. If she chose to keep on doing as such it would be wise of her to take the cloak, but if a foe should come up and strike at her then she would be sorely pressed and would wish she had taken the sword. Oh the conundrum.
