"I make friends. I like spending time by myself too. There's nothing wrong with going swimming. And as you can see," he looked down at himself, "I have no shirt, and no buttons." He smiled as she realized that it didn't make much sense. "Well, I've just been wandering around the school. Spent a lot of time at the cliffs after you left... but other than that, nothing really exciting has happened to me between yesterday and today."

"Oh!" Ayise'd suddenly remembered something, "Here." She said holding out a white shirt, "I made it myself, see?" It had to be another one of her random hobbies, if this was any indication it had to be that this would never end...he'd probably end up with his own custom wardobe.
"It's a prezzie." She chirped in her sing-song voice, "Kumi-chan has recieved a present." She twirled on one foot, "This is a monumentous moment in history!" She tilted her head at him, "Neh, Kumiz~u?"

Kumizu smiled at her. "Thank you." He slipped it on with the smile still there. On the inside, however... well, he was used to going without one. He only wore a shirt or jacket when he absolutely had to. It wasn't a phobia, he just didn't like the way it felt.
In any case, he could tell Ayise had put a lot of time into this, and it was soft, so he could deal with it. "It is monumentous. Geez, I gave you a kiss and now you're giving me presents," he joked. "People might think we're going out."

Ayise made a face at that last statement, and then blew Kumizu a rasberry. "I still think you're conceited, what makes you think I don't have alternative motives?" She asked, "I could be trying to lure you into a false sense of security before I drown you...wait that wouldn't work. Okay, death by marshmellow! Or by randomness. I'll annoy you until you drop dead." She laughed, "The Serial Randomness!" She grinned broadly, "Besides, Kumizu is a rolling stone. He doesn't have time for a girlfriend."

"I didn't say that I think we're going out, I said that some people might think we are. I know you don't have alternative motives... or do you?" He smiled as she kept rambling. It was something he was getting used to.
He did act shocked when she made her last statement. "What do you mean I don't have time for a girlfriend? It's not like I move every three days!"

Ayise shrugged, feigning indifference, "How would I know? Kumi-chan admits he tells compulsive lies. Besides, Kumizu has already stated how he feels about other people, a girl would weigh Kumizu down." She made a face again, "Besides, I'm sure there's a girl somewhere far away weeping buckets. Of this I am sure."'
Ayise leaned in, "Soooo...what's her name?" It was apprent she'd never leave the subject alone, "I mean there has to be someone. Ayise is pure as snow but Kumizu is definately not."
"Ayise has someone who is special too, but she doesn't pretend they don't exsist." She sulked.

"Yes, I tell lies. Yes, I care about other people; I'm not anti-social. And no, I don't have a girlfriend. There's no girl far away weeping buckets!"
Nothing seemed to change her mind, so he was rather relieved when she switched to her personal life. "Okay fine. Who's your special someone? I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours." He crossed his arms, with a grin on his face.

"It's none of your buisness." Ayise crossed her arms and glared, "Because that person isn't special to me anymore." She looked up thoughtfully, "I guess when you know where you stand with someone their true colors come out. Don't you think, one minute someone can be nice but then they can be tearing your heart into bite-sized pieces." She sighed, "So, you were saying about your girlfriend?"

"Therefore, we can say that this 'girl' would be none of your business, because she isn't special to me anymore. If she was, she'd be with me, don't you think?" He quieted down for a moment as he thought about what she said before asking about him again. "I think I've experienced that firsthand. I know how it feels to be torn apart by someone you love. Because of that, I haven't dated in awhile." But I want to again.

"Love? No...It was nothing like that. I suppose it was a silly crush. But I remember he said to me: 'You? Well, at least you're cute. You can be my toy while I wait for someone worthwhile to come along, hm?' I don't think it was cruelty, that's just the way he is." She looked thoughtfull for a moment, "I guess it was my fault..."
"Besides, you said you didn't stay in one place too long; that you could be gone tomorrow, so of course she'd have been left behind." She regarded him, "But I'll let you off the hook because you won't tell me no matter how subtlely I ask you." She grinned, "Hey, Kumi-chan, you seem all smiley. That's new."

"It wasn't your fault that he was acting like an a*****e. I think you're too good to be anybody's 'toy'."
That's really all Kumizu could say before Ayise started speaking again. "I guess I've been feeling better than usual. Getting my mind off of the fact that I may have to leave tomorrow. But I haven't done that, have I?" He took a look around the campus. He'd never used a school as an escape before, he figured it would be a long time before he was found.
However, that's when his smile disappeared. He walked over to a nearby bench and sat down. Kumizu set his cane in his lap and patted to a part of the bench next to him. "Sit with me."

"Um?" She sat down next to him, continuing from before; "I also know for a fact he's here. He came...to chase a girl; a girl who definately isn't me." She sighed, "I guess that's just how life is. I'm glad you think so, I've never really been complemented on anything. I guess my parents and family just expect everything of me. I guess they'll end up sellin-I mean pairing me off with someone I barely/don't know...for money." She sulked, "Rich snobs..."
"Oh! Kumi-chan? You wanted to say something?" She asked, she hadn't meant to bring up her obnoxious family.

"Hey, you've got a family. Like I said before, all I have is my sister. And I don't know where she is."
He let out a sigh. "You keep asking about this other girl, and I keep avoiding it. I know you're just going to keep asking, so here it goes:
"Yes, I was with another girl. It was never romantic, as everyone seems to think. To make a long story short, she lost everything she had in a fire. I saved her, so she started traveling with me. She got sick of it, and wanted to settle down some place, stop running. I knew I couldn't, so we went our seperate ways. I don't like talking about her because I know what everyone would start thinking.
"Contrary to what it sounds like, I don't run at the first sign of trouble. I stay and fight, but the problem is I can't win. Wherever I go to next, I train my powers, even if I have to do it in secret. One day I'll stop running." He started to put his hand on her knee, but then stopped and withdrew it, looking the other way.

"See? You can't lie to me." She smiled, "I'll trade you, your sister for the whole kit and kaboodle of chaos that is my family." She grasped his hands between hers, "And you can win, you've just got to hold your ground no matter what." She smiled at him cheerfully, "If I was her I wouldn't have minded traveling, the most I'll ever get to see is maybe an art museum in France after my parents have sold me." She said jokingly, although it was most likely to be true.
"Don't be afraid of me, I don't bite and neither does it Kii-kun; they're trying to de-tox him in the lab...I say good luck to them." She grinned, "The worst I could do is maybe tell a bad joke."

"You want my sister, you'd get into the rest of the family I have left. And I don't think you'd want that, either. The problem is, my partner was sick of traveling. We were together many years, and we went a lot of different places. I can't count how many."
Then Ayise started talking about how she didn't bite, and neither did Kii-kun, and the rest. "I never said I was afraid of you." Kumizu touched her cheek with his free hand and kissed her. He remembered her reaction last time, and broke it after a few seconds.
