"You're good at averting crisis, aren't you?" She let him get all comfortable before popping a marshmallow. Still, she thought, what a goof. Life on Veratia wasn't really happy, so she needed more silly things in her life. Richard was silly, wonderful, complicated and beautiful, that was for sure.
Lorey put her mug on the table so that she could wrap her arms around Richard's neck. It was time to turn on a bit of charm. While she wasn't really used to it, Lorey was sure she had a little something that he couldn't refuse.
"I have a new one for you... I'm real low on kisses." She kissed him once to see if he'd be willing to help.

Richard cocked an eyebrow, setting his own mug down, getting himself comfortable and wrapping his arms around her. "I can fix that..." He cooed, bringing her in for a few sweet kisses, and a few less than innocent ones here and there just to add a little variety.

A few minutes passed, filled with sweet kisses from Lorey, who was still thinking about his mother and Rose. The coco suddenly came to mind, though.
"I'm going to ditch you for hot coco," she whispered as she pulled away. Her mug was already getting a little cool, but it was nice enough to take a few gulps before returning to Richard's arms.
"Mmkay, I'm good. Didn't want your work to go to waste..."

Everything I do for you could never be a waste..." He smiled kissing her forehead a bit gently. It was then a soft meow interrupted them. A bewildered and full bellied Trinity sauntered in, slightly confused at where her 'parents' were. She gave the not as familiar couple a strange look as she rubbed against the opposite couch.

"Oh hey..." Lorey hadn't really bonded with Trinity yet. She and the cat were on good terms because of a bit of egg she'd shared at breakfast one morning, but they weren't really close. Lorey held out her hand to the cat,hoping she could maybe get a cuddle or something out of her.
"Have you met Trinity before? Or are you a dog person?"

"I love dogs...Cat's eh- I don't mind..." He smiled as the little cat came over to give Lorey's hand a sniff and a rub before jumping onto her and Ricard's lap. Richard reached down to pet her, only to have his hand swiped at and nibbled on with rather sharp, pointy teeth. He grimaced but let the little one play as he swat gently back.

"One paw, and she's going after you!" Lorey laughed. Trinity took a hold of Richard's finger and began biting, though it seemed he was deemed dirty and was soon being cleaned instead. She was a happy cat, regardless of her tail flicking. Really, she must have thought, if I'm going to resort to these people for company, they might as well be decent.
"How does that sandpaper tongue feel?" she asked while petting her back.

Richard laughed but scrunched his face up. "Not the most pleasant feeling in the world...bu I'll live..." He laughed a little, letting his free arm go around Lorey. "A kiss would make it better..." He smiled coyly, looking to her.

"It would?" Though she sounded innocent enough, she leaned forward to catch his lips. Trinity stopped and looked up at them, but thought they were rather boring. Damian and Raquel were far more energetic.
"Was one enough, or do you need more to make you feel all better?" Lorey pinched his cheek gently and laughed. How could his mother not want anything to do with her own son?

Richard seemed to ponder this almost comically as he shrugged. "It couldn't hurt..." he cooed as he coddled over her, not caring if the cat was entertained by his hand any longer. He had more important uses for it, such as bringing Lorey closer.
He had to admit, he was slightly frustrated at not being able to be as...'passionate' with Lorey as Damian seemed to be with Raquel, but she had already expressed her views on such things and he respected that...despite how far he wanted to carry their kisses.

Lorey was beginning to blush a little. She did want to wait, because she didn't want to be like her mother. But even she had to admit, the idea wasn't unappealing. Not with Richard.
Trinity moved by Lorey's bare foot. Things were continuing on as they had been before, perhaps with a little more fervor. She wasn't sure why herself, but Trinity liked the idea of spiking one of Lorey's toes. Which she did, making Lorey jump two feet.
"AIYEE!" Her forehead smashed into Richard's, Trinity was frightened off by the noise, and i a moment of bewilderment, Lorey froze in Richard's arms.

Richard was startled and grasped her shoulder with one hand, rubbing his forehead with the other. "Ah- ow...Are you alright?" He asked, not sure off what had caused the outburst.

Lorey pulled her foot to herself to look at her little toe, which had a spot of blood on it from being jabbed by kitty claws. Between that and her forehead, she was feeling a little flustered.
"Ow... Sorry about your head, there. She scared me..."

Richard reached out fora new by tissue and dapped her toe with it. "Ah...I see...d-...do you need anything for it?" he asked sweetly, slightly annoyed at the cat for causing the interruption.

"No... it's alright." Her little foot twitched as he dabbed. Amazing how a little claw could sting so much.
Lorey laughed, though. "You always take such good care of me, and I go slamming my head against yours."
With him examining her toe, she had a clear shot at giving him a kiss on the forehead.
