"This sucks worse than when I was stuck in a freezer that still worked for 2 hours and had to thaw out afterwards." She ground out did roll onto her side and curl up. "If he weren't dead I'd kick him in the nuts."

"You got stuck in a freezer! How!?" Kay asked, knowing that the less she thought about it the less it would hurt. The monsters at the lab had used this stuff like it was Tylenol... Appearently they still where.

Kimmi groaned. "Long story short a kid was hiding out in a quick trip in the back room and I startled her just as much as she startled me. I tripped a little trap she had rigged and got shoved into the freezer, the door closed. She tried to open it to let me out but the hand was locked on the outside. I had to wait till Bubbles and the others could clear enough of the city to get me out." The pain was beginning to fad and she wasn't all that surprised to find herself getting drifting off. With the day she had just had she was almost surprised it took this long. With what she had just done though she was leery of sleep and the nightmares it always brought. She yawned as she fought to stay awake.

Fillup arrived at the light-area, grim faced "Well, everyone back to the convoy, the camp should be set up so we'll be good for one night until the ramp is done and we can come back here with more than just what we can carry..." he said, looking at Satori and Rick, as well as Milo, Otis, Sarg and the other two gunners. Shadow and the four other cats were following Fillup everywhere.
"Alrighty, lets head up there then" Sarg said, puffing out a cloud of noxious smoke from his cigar. Fillup didn't wait for them all, he just headed out the window to the lift, the cats right behind him.

Zack had climbed up one of the cliff walls above the convoy and just sat watching the stars as they started to appear. he then sighed and pulled out an old photo. "To those who have lost there way in both life and death." he whispered to the wind as he lite a small candle he held. "your juorneis shall not be forgotton" he said finishing the slight prayer. he then laid down and stared once more at the forming stars.

Kay gently patted Pinky's shoulder. "I'll stay here till you've fallen asleep." she said, settling in for the long haul. "And tomorrow you and Grace and mobbed me with whatever imbarressing thing you where panning to torture me with." she joked quietly. "Go to sleep..."

"I don't like to sleep." She mumbled half way there. "They always come when I sleep." She babbled quietly as she realized she pretty much was asleep. A couple minutes later her breathing evened out as she lost the fight to stay awake.

"See... Not so bad. The best cure for nightmares is exhastion." Kay whispered, patting Pinky as she stood up. "I'll be back in a flash..." She said standing up and leaving the tent. Sighing as she stood outside, she headed toward Bubbles truck. This is going to be interesting..., she thought. I just hope it doesn't blow up in my face...

Fillup grumbled angrily and kicked the lift, the blasted thing moving a little faster. Shadow and the four other cats looked at him oddly, Fillup glaring back "What?!"
"Bubbles alright?" Shadow asked, sitting down and looking at him. Fillup grumbled a 'no' and opening the gate and stepping out to stomp across the hard-packed ground to the camp. Shadow and the others followed, Shadow heading to Kimmi's tent.
Fillup spotted Kay, by the first truck. He made his way over, wondering what she needed "Yes Kay?" he asked, his voice a little more even.

Kay jumped onto the hood of the truck and crassed her legs. "Just thought you should know what went on." Kay said. Lighting a cigarette, Kay told everything that happened. From spotting Spencer all the way to putting Pinky to bed. After it was done Kay jumped down and sighed. "I understand that after we deal with the Puppet Master that I might not be welcome here anymore. I'm fine with that... Just thought you should know what went on."

Fillup smiled, then started to laugh "What? You would always have a place among us, hell, even Hitler would be welcome in this little merry band of lost souls!" he wiped a tear away, laughing still. He calmed a bit, leaning against the side of the truck, his tone turning serious "In any case Kay, it is ultamitaly your choice" he looked at her, a small smile on his face.

Kay cleared her throat. "Well... Let's take it one step at a time." Kay said smiling as she lit another cigarette. "I'm going back down to the generator tonight to see if I can't get it going enough to seal off the excess monster town. That way we can get everybody at least down there late tomorrow evening."

Fillup nodded "Good, I think I'll tag along' he said, hefting his 12-gauge and smiling "The fresh air has brightened my mood enough to dare another delve into the darkness of Area 51" he chuckled and pulled out his gum packet. He flipped it open and frowned "After I get more gum...it'll take just a second.." he said, opening the door and rifling through the contents.

Zack fell asleep quickly. his dreams once again returning to the past. it would be three years into the future. Zack and his brother were wandering the desert towards a city. "So were are we going now Zack" Tyler asked. "hopefully somewhere without the deaad" Zack answered. Zack stired in his sleep. "no dont go into that city" he muttered in his sleep.

While Kay waited for Bubbles she lit another cigarette. When he was finished they walked over to the ramp Zack had finished. Kay looked over at Bubbles and shrugged, "It's got to be faster then the lift." she said starting to walk down it. "So, Bubbles. What is the first thing you plan on dong if we ever get the world back to normal?" she asked, trying to make small talk as they made their way down.
