Zaine entered the training grounds for the first time since graduating the Academy all those years ago, deciding that he should see if any newbies needed any help or advice from a seasoned shinigami, and perhaps to meet some new people at the same time.
(Jaquebo, you can't learn shikai here, you have to be an active memeber for two months plus be approved by squad Captain for training)

Noticing the entry of a man that looked much more experienced, Miyako didn't even wait for a response from Cessario before almost tripping over herself going over to Zaine. Miyako greets the strangely-dressed man and introduces herself.
Hoping that Zaine hadn't been able to judge her attitude already (or, at least, hadn't judged her accurately), Miyako straightened herself up and looked at Zaine, a slight look of disappointment on her face, and introduced herself.

Zaine smiled, "Hello Miss Miyako, pleasure to meet you." he bowed deeply to her and upon straightening himself grinned with a great amount of kindness, "I am Zaine Tsukioma, unseated memeber of the Tenth Division, may I help you in any way?"

"I'm looking for a Sparring partner - and I'm looking for a squad that suits me," she said, already grabbing the hilt of her Zanpakuto and her Wakizashi, as if ready to start sparring at a moment's notice. "Care to play?"

Zaine chuckled, "Sure, feel free to start anytime." he said, not assuming any stance, nor reaching for his zanpakuto

"Don't take me so lightly," Miyako said rather softly, "JUST BECAUSE I'M A GIRL!" she finished, shouting and striking out with her Zanpakuto, drawing her Wakizashi in her other hand, assuming her Nito-Ryu stance.

Zaine could be heard chuckling as he fluidly ducked under her slash, "Now, I would never underestimate someone, least of all based upon gender." he said with a wink, posistioning his open left palm at her stomach and releasing what should be a breathtaking burst of reiatsu if it connected.

Pushed back by the blow of reiatsu to her stomach, Miyako went back a couple feet and landed, leveling her Zanpakuto. "Damnit, there's still too big a difference between my old body and my new," she said, speaking to herself. "The old man would have a fit."
Flipping her Wakizashi to be weilded upside-down, Miyako leaped into a spinning strike using both of her weapons. Unfortunately, her balance was off, and she tripped a little. Attempting to regain her momentum, however, Miyako continued through with the attack, bringing her Zanpakuto in a swift horizontal strike aimed at Zaine's knees.

Zaine smiled, "Your not bad at this, keep training and I'm sure you'll get even better." he said as he leapt over the strike at his legs and launched a kick at Miyako's left shoulder.

Rolling backward to avoid the kick, Miyako came up on her feet and defiantly put her Zanpakuto vertically in front of her, with her Wakizashi to the side, now sitting right-side up in her hand. "When I was alive, my father taught me Nito-Ryu kenjutsu," she said, shaking off the frustration. "He also taught me how to fight when two weapons didn't seem as good an option as one."
Now, Miyako sheathed both of her blades, and got in a stance ready for Battojutsu, preparing to perform the same attack she had tried on the dummy from earlier.

Zaine smiled after landing on the ground a few meters away, "Come now, let me see your skill then." he said with an excited grin.

Running everything through her mind even before she struck, Miyako was attempting to work out every possible outcome of this strike. Unlike usual, Miyako drew her Wakizashi while still preparing for the Battojutsu strike with her Zanpakuto. This time, if she stumbled, she could still salvage a strike with her Wakizashi.
Miyako broke the seal between her Zanpakuto and its sheath, running forward and leaping. As she landed in front of where Zaine was standing, Miyako drew the blade and made a swift horizontal strike.

Zaine leapt away from the strike, recieving a shallow cut on his chest, "Excellent form! Now let me show you what I can do." he said with a wink, throwing his cloak off and revealing his twinbladed Zanpakuto, its large blades connected by a single black hilt, unadorned but for the silver and gold thread twined about it. Zaine fluidly removed the sword from its strap on his back, twirling it slightly Zaine suddenly exploded into action, dashing at Miyako, at a few feet from his target he launched into the air and launched a vertical strike at the girl.

Miyako brought up her Wakizashi alongside her Zanpakuto for a parry, working to, at the very least, prevent the blade from striking home. When she felt the blades make contact, she immediately dropped to a backroll and came into a crouching defensive stance.
"Interesting," Miyako mused, and decided to remain in a defensive stance until she could better read his proficiency with the weapon.

Zaine's eyebrows arched in pleasent surprise, as he landed lightly "Interesting, you seem to be quite skill for one so fresh from the academy, lets see how well you can keep up." he said, suddenly moving with a speed surprising in one with such a large blade as his, he began spinning the sword until it reached a speed that the upper and lowerblades blended into one, creating a razordisk like appearance, Zaine slashed horizontially with this move, one that should be difficult to succesfully block against.
