He carefully slipped the chain around her neck, securing the fastener. "You really do look beautiful," he whispered to her.
"Not yet," Saber said pointedly. "But there has to be a first time for everything."
"And Father wouldn't allow anyone dangerous near her," Arcanon said quietly.

She stiffened and lightly blushed for a moment in shock then mentally shrugged it off.. it was just a compliment. She turned and smiled at him "Thanks... do you think its too much? I don't even know what we're doing..."
Synne shook her head "Mommy would never hex you. Trust me."
Erian shrugged "Its hard to tell mom not to do something. She's REALLY stubborn."

"You're so sure of this?" Saber asked arching an eyebrow.

She shrugged "I guess so..." and glanced at him worriedly "Are you sure your alright? You seem... off somehow.."
She nodded enthusiastically
"Stubborn... but that doesn't mean he can win against mom..."

"I'm fine," he said quietly as he averted his eyes.
"Has she Said - "Oh, there's no way I'm hexing that Saber boy, he's too nice," or anything of the sort?"
"Don't push your luck," Proteus muttered.
Arcanon shrugged, "Gives him a chance."

Ro frowned "No your not... are you ill? Maybe I shouldn't go after all..."
Synne blinked "well.. no.... but she doesn't hex kids... and well.. to her you still are one."

"Oh good, that mean I'm free game in a couple of months..." Saber muttered.

"Then why are you acting... melencholy?" She looked back and forth between him and Lilah "Did something happen before I came in?"
Synne rolled her eyes "Mommy would also never attack any of Dad's children no matter how old they are... well unless you plan on physically hurting me, Erian or Proteus... that would be the only time she might"
Erian gave a weak smile "I hope so.."

"Huh?" Azaroth frown. "No, we were just talking..."
"Comforting," Saber said inclining his head. "Like any of us would dream of that. We'd have your mom, our dad, and Arcanon ready to crack our skulls..."
"You'd better believe it," Arcanon grinned over at Saber. "But I don't have to worry because I know you're much smarter than that."

Synne smiled, patted his head, and kissed his cheek sweetly "Then you have nothing to worry about."
Erian glanced over at Saber quickly... glad everyone else was so confident he wouldn't do anything

She frowned some more at him and sighed "Fine.." Glancing at the time she cursed "I've got to go... Thanks for the necklace!" She gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and dashed out the door. She poked her head into where the kids were "I'm leaving now.. be good for your dad and brothers. I don't think he's feeling too well so don't bother him too much Synne"
Synne pouted "Kay... will you be back soon"
Ro shrugged "I'll be back tonight... I want you in bed when your father tells you to go ok. If he doesn't say anything then do normal bedtimes"
Erian nodded "Ok mom..."
She smiled and kissed each of the kids on the forehead and left to go meet Komori

"Well..." Lilah remarked watching Rowena leave the house. "That went well."
"Not now, Lilah," Azaroth sighed collapsing into his chair. "I am not in the mood for another lecture tonight..."
"Azaroth, I'm not going to give you another lecture," Lilah said suddenly turning serious. "Because what you're going to experience sitting here tonight while she's out with another is going to teach you more than any lecture ever could..." She paused briefly at the doorway, "That story I was reading earlier, it also mentioned witches using magic looking glasses to see things in other places. I wonder if there's any truth to that. Well," she smiled sweetly at him before leaving, calling back, "Good night!"

Synne pouted more as Ro left "I hope she has a bad time..."
Erian nodded "me too.."
Ro apparated to her house and saw Komori was already there waiting "Umm hi"
He gaped and kissed her cheek "Ro you look gorgeous!" He took her arm and smiled charmingly "Shall we go to dinner?"

"I third it..." Proteus muttered.
Azaroth honestly intended to give Rowena her space and her privacy for the night but Lilah's words echoed in his mind until he found himself conjuring a mirror. "It's just to check up on her..." he told himself. "Make sure she's alright." He took a breath before ordering the mirror, "Show me Rowena..."
