clara33 "No, Kyfen. My son - the father of the other immortals - took you and tortured you for as long as he could. That is a pain that will never, never come back." Gaia looked as if she knew what Kyfen was thinking, but did not answer to it.
((Sorry. Elywnd said he had it, so I thought you two would continue.)) ((That's ok, don't worry about it biggrin )) Kyfen could've cried. In fact he did, a little bit. But it seemed stupid to cry about something so worthless, something he could barely remember thanks to the necklace that hung round his neck. So he wiped the tears away, and smiled wistfully. "Thank you." He said, quietly. The woman was unknown to him, yet he could feel the bond between them. Strangely, he also felt a strange sadness for her- did she feel anything about the darkpath her son had taken? Did she have any other children? Not only that, but Kyfen could feel her age. She didn't look old, but then again she was make of trees and bark, so it was hard to tell. But the years Gaia had gone through lay heavy in the air, making Kyfen feel like little more than a blip of existance. Which he was, he guessed. Maybe all immortals were, compared to her. "Granny Gaia... Thank you. I feel... better now than I did earlier." Kyfen smiled. He was unsure of what else to say.

"In that case..." Gaia smiled at the boy, then turned to Cyrea. "Cyrea, perhaps if you could give him one of the cats? I think Ghulirgik would be able to, at least, protect him until he regained his memory, don't you?"
Cyrea looked at Granny Gaia in what was almost disbelief. "You mean Gigi? Are you sure about that? He's a wicked little cat."
"Is that what he's called now? Gigi? My my. But yes, I'm sure that Gigi will be able to fulfill that task."
"Granny, that's not even what I meant."
"Victory by forfeit. The cat, now. Kyfen, do you want to go with her, or would you like to stay with me until she comes back?"

Kyfen bowed, hesitantely. "I'll go with Cyrea... If that's ok." He was still smiling, but there was a hint of sadness in his face that it hadnever contained before. Kyfen certainly didn't feel like a pre-teen, like he was twelve years of age. He felt at least ten times older, to be honest.

"Holy s**t that book's bright!" Matthew coverd his eye's, they felt like they were burning, remebering he had none he stopped. He sat down beside Yata and looked at him bordly.. "Well this is fun.." He said sarcasticly.. I'm glad the guy didn't take my mouth, who needs eye's with no mouth I couldn't be sarcastic anymore.

"Huh, hat does your mind have to do with having fun?" He shot him a squinted glare, not quite understanding. The light the book was giving off killed some of his brain sells. What few he had left.. "So your a vampire Yata?"

"Aw..I was hopign to be a vampire dragon.." Matthew smiled at Yata. "Where th ehell is Cyrea, I want to see Kyfen already!" It was wierd him saying that since it wasn't his kid, but Kyfen was like the little brother he never wanted but got anyway. He was like his family.

Mega Kibble Kyfen bowed, hesitantely. "I'll go with Cyrea... If that's ok." He was still smiling, but there was a hint of sadness in his face that it hadnever contained before. Kyfen certainly didn't feel like a pre-teen, like he was twelve years of age. He felt at least ten times older, to be honest. Gaia nodded, first at Kyfen, then at Cyrea.
Cyrea sighed, then took Kyfen's hand and muttered a few words. The ground dropped from underneath them, and after what seemed like forever, but was only half a second, hard ground caught their feet. In front of them were 7 pedestols that looked like black bar chairs. On every pedestol was a sleeping black cat. The one in the middle was more like a full cat if the rest were kittens.
The cats were a secret only 7 of the original mortals knew about. 4 elementals, 2 of death, one of which who had taken the secret to the grave, and the goddess of light.
Cyrea whistled, a high, pure note, stong and loud. Though it seemed to echo off the walls, the cats did not stirr. In a low tone, Cyrea began to chant as she made hand signals.
"Kare naka yemish ra Gaia Aqua Heto Za Temeh raio tama reap Nanda ishto hecta neap."
Slowly, the sound died away, and one of the smaller cats stirred. It was the middle small on the right side. One lazy yellow eye opened and stared at the boy and girl. It stood, stretched, and jumped down, strolling over to the boy. Then, in a sarcastic tone, the cat spoke.
"Well. Look at the newbie. I suppose that I'm taking care of you, aren't I, boy?"
Cyrea cleared her throat. "Ghulirigik, your master Gaia commands you to take care of Kyfen, the new-"
"Yes, well, nice to meet you, Kyfen. By the way, call me Gigi. Anything else is completely bothersome and I lose interest in my own name by the time you're finished. Besides, if you scream for help, Gigi is only two beats, or whatever they're called nowadays. Ghulirigik is four. Now, I'm tired again. Wake me up when something happens." With that, the small black cat leaped onto the boy's shoulders, crawled around his neck, and closed it's yellow eyes. Within seconds, Gigi was snoozing yet again.
"Sorry about Gigi. You'll get used to him pretty quickly. Just don't wake him up unless something is wrong or you have fish, and you'll stay on his good side." Cyrea sighed. She remembered her own cat, Moggot, and how difficult he had been.

Kyfen laughed, a little bit of the old Kyfen breaking through his now-sullen features. "That's ok. He's pretty cute, and kinda warm." Cyrea... She's got all these powers. It's amazing. He looked down at his own hands. They were small, and unblemished. Can I do anything like that? Memories of his torture fought against the barrier put up by the necklace. Something about angels, and a job made just for him... But it was a bit blurry, right now. Kyfen frowned- he felt it was important, but it wouldn't come. Taking off the necklace was too risky, and he wasn't sure he wanted to know anyway. Looking back at Cyrea, Kyfen tried to smile. "You know an awful lot about these things, Cyrea."

"Ah, well, he just wants fish. That's his favorite thing ever. I think that's the only reason he hasn't let himself drop into a comma." Cyrea smiled as some of Kyfen came back.
"Eh. Well, keep in mind that I helped make man. OK, that's a lie, my teacher did. I mostly worked on animals and such. I did help with some of the creation of humans, but mostly it was my elders. So, shall we return to earth, then? I'm sure your father and Matt are awaiting our return." Cyrea offered her hand to Kyfen.

Kyfen gawped, a little. Cyrea... Made animals? What was I before, to meet this person? I feel like something should be expected of me, but I don't know what. Nodding but not smiling, Kyfen took Cyrea's hand. "Hopefully things haven't been going too wierd without us." He wasn't quite sure why he'd added that, but for some reason he had the feeling that leaving those two alone together would bring nothing but strangeness.
