Finally his fathers voice faded. He relaxed into Maki and loosened his grip on his shirt. He tried to even out his breathing, as fresh tears flowed.

"try to get some sleep ok? he was still rubbing Nathons back with the coco butter "I promise I'll still be here when you wake up"

He nodded and lifted his head up. He looked at Maki, he wanted to speak but no words would come.

He closed his eyes as Maki kissed him. He laid his head back on Makis chest not wanting to leave him and closed his eyes. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep.

he finished rubbing the coco butter on Nathons back and rocked him a little as he slept

Her eyes snapped open. She was listening to Roys heart beat in its relaxed rhythm. Slowly she unhooked herself from his arm and crawled off the bed. She made her way downstairs into the kitchen. As she pulled out the milk she thought about seeing how Maki was. She poured herself a glass and then after putting the carton away walked down to Makis room. She softly rapped on his door, "Maki you still up?"

She peeked around Maki, "Everything okay?" She sipped her milk.

"humm, Well are either of you hungry? I was about t make a snack before the others get up." She looked back at Maki. She had a feeling something wasn't right but figured it wasn't her place. She gave him a little smile.

"Want me to bring you something?" She peeked again into the room, "He looks like he could use something to eat." She had a mother quality to her voice.
He groaned softly in his sleep, moving a little.

"Alright. I'll be back." She ruffled his hair and smiled at him before turning back to the kitchen. She downed the rest of her milk as she walked into the kitchen and then rummaged through the fridge. After a few minutes she decided on a small salad for herself and made a ham sandwich for the boys. She grabbed a packet of saltines and walked to Makis, room again. She tapped on his door.
