Jerick froze, he had heard of the stories, but just now remembered them. he looked down to the floor.
Zy was confused. What? What is it? Zy asked in a concerned voice. He didn't know what they're talking about.

Shaon stared at the floor. "werewolves have trouble giving birth...." she mumbled. "a lot of trouble."
"understatement." Verus muremred.

"I've heard... mothers... rarely live through it." Jerick struggled with his words as he looked at Zy.
Zy looked at Shoan with eyes full of sorrow, he wondered why the universe was so unkind to her. Why.. didn't you tell me this before? He managed to ask her. He didn't want to see her dead, ever, not matter the reason.

she breathed softly, trying not to cry. "because i want to be honored with having your child..." she whispered. "i was afraid you would love me less if you knew..."
"from young ages werewolves in Kublai's pack, especially females, are taight their lives are forefeit for the pack. they must learn to endure pain to any extent and never complain about it. the females normally live in group amongst the pack, because they can more help each other. males are often a hindrance in the female groups, and vice versa. the onyl time we intermingle is to find mates we love, really...." he sighed and looked to Shaon. "i'll find a way to help, i promise. i was able to get some information from the fae who would have been my mate. there are ways to increase your chance of living."

"But... She a hybrid. Half vampire. Their birth aren't as dangerous, actually, their never dangerous." Jerick spoke up.
Zy looked at Jerick and then back at Shaon. There was hope in his eyes. Does that change anything? Zy asked her.

Shaon nodded partially. "it'll make it easier, but not much. when werewolves give birth their instinct says to shift, but if we shift in birth the child will die. Often times, in packs, when the female is in birth, she will be too weak to fight off the shift anf the baby will die. these almost always result in death for the feamle, too. the bones splinter and rip in their new position."
Verus nodded worriedly. "it shoudl be less of a risk, but not completely gone, Shaon." he looked to her sadly. if you hadn't left none of this would have happened..." he sighed and turned away. "not that i blame you for leaving."

Zy stared at the ground. too much bad news all at once, he had to deal with it one at a time. Jerick, Did you get in contact with your clan? He asked with out looking at him.
Jerick nodded. "And they contacted the sub-clans. ...Zy... They know you're still alive and about Shaon, they're still loyal to you. You're still their leader to them." He told him.

shaon looked up, sighing. "vampires are almost matched in strenght as werewoolved. werewolves cornered are weaker. if you're able to break them apart, then they get killed off."

Zy looked at Shaon when she spoke. He said nothing.
Jerick nodded, "I saw cliffs awhile back. Could help us us." He said looking at the three.

Shaon nodded, "i'll get in the way, do you want me to stay back?"
"of course." Verus poked shaons' stomach lightly. "you're preggo, you're not supposed to fight." he saw her sad face and patted her head. "let us protect you shaon, you protect others far too much. let soemone do somethign nice for you. Kublai was always wrong, you know that. don't do what you were taught."

Zy didn't say anything. only nodded to Shaon.
Jerick stood up and stretched. "Hey you." He said to the other werewolf, "Is you're mate going to alright?" He asked him. "I never got you're name."

Shaon looked away and walked away from the others. she needed to be alone to think. it was hard not to run in like usual.
"My name is Verus. my mate will be fine. she's not in the attacking party. she's back home. the females..." he grinned, "they fight a lot worse than the males, but they don't often fight."

Zy Formed a weak smiled and looked at Shaon when Verus spoke about female werewolves.
Jerick grinned. "I bet." He told the man. "Shall we?" He gestured to the waters.

shaon closed her eyes and curled up, tired.
"of course, let us go and defeat the lesser beasts of burden. be safe!" he called to shaon. he looked toward the water and dove in gracefully.
