"Of course not," Lore murmured, "It wouldn't be fair to them. We can backtrack after breakfast, maybe they'll be up by then for us to say goodbye, if not at least they could sleep for a bit longer before being woken up."

Elnara smiled and nodded. "Of course. Breakfast first, though. Something small for me, though, we'll be there by noon and to be honest flying on a full stomach has never really appealed to me."
She laughed softly and began leading the way back downstairs.

Lore nodded as he followed, he understood that, at least he thought he did. After all it was impossible to know what it would feel like for her, he would never be able to do what she did.

Elnara edged a little closer to Lore so that she could speak more quietly, then looked at him as though she wanted to ask him a question but wasn't sure if it would be a good idea. She debated back and forth with herself until they reached the tower and were on their way down the steps, and finally she nodded to herself as though she had come to a decision.
Of course, the fact that they were alone on the stairs helped.
"This ... may seem like an odd question," she began hesitantly, "but ... what is it like to fly? I mean, from an elf's perspective. I've only ever experienced it from a bird's point of view, and I imagine that it would probably be quite different ..."

Lore thought about that for a moment, "It is exciting and scary at the same time, since... it is not something one gets to experience in their lifetime, that often, but it is scary because we don't have the ability to fly. You're quite well aware of your limits when you're high up."

"Oh ..." Elnara grew quiet, thoughtful, as they made their way down the corridor towards the Dining Hall. As they entered, she looked around, and when she saw that they were alone, she murmured, "Do you feel ... safe? When you're flying with me?"
She looked at him anxiously.

"Yes," Lore replied without a thought, "With you I do, I know it's you."
Rather than a real bird whom he did not know would stop if he fell, and who didn't know enough to adjust itself to him.

Elnara smiled broadly and relaxed immediately, and felt as if an immense load had been lifted from her chest.
"I'm glad," she murmured softly, taking a seat at the table.

"I'm sorry if I worried you," Lore replied back.
After all, he didn't want to make Elnara feel bad about flying.

Elnara laughed softly and reached for Lore's hand.
"No, you didn't worry me," she assured him with a smile. "It was just me worrying about things that there was no need for. All the same, I'm glad you feel safe with me."
A door in the far left wall opened and a servant entered carrying two trays of food. He deposited the trays in front of Elnara and Lore and left as quickly as he had entered.

Lore smiled at that as he peered down at his food. He thought, he would not get use to the fact food was always served as if they were in a resturant most of the time. Poor anology, but the best he could think of.
"Well, shall we?"

A few minutes later, Daeron joined them at the table.
"Good morning," he smiled brightly at them. "All set to go see Uncle Gion?" And he sat down and started his own meal.

"Good morning Daeron," Lore looked up from his meal with a nod.
Looks like they weren't the only ones to be early risers.
"And yes, that is the plan."

"Good morning, Daeron," Elnara smiled. "Have you been to see him very often? No one seems to know anything about him anymore."
She couldn't help but look over her shoulder to see if Luthien and Ruel would be following him into the Dining Hall - eager to see Luthien and dreading Ruel.
