I just got back from the UMKC Honors Band and Symposium
We played a new piece by the name of "Three Georgian Vignettes" by Robert Sheldon..our director.
Love the man but hated the piece.
I LOVED "Ghost Fleet" though, same composer.
"Contraption" wasnt bad either by Brendan McBrien, but "Patton" which was aranged by Sheldon..I love the music but its extremly difficult and thats why I disliked it.

Most definately, Harry Potter Faux the Pheonix, it is sooooo easy! And I am playing it in my Jr high's BEST band for this concert where we play with 6th graders.

The Mello To be burned: ~Christmas Festival ~Our fight song ~Australian Up-Country Tune ~Scenes from the Lourve ~Hark, the Herald Angels Sang ~Star Spangled Banner ~Olympic Spirit ~Almost all Marches cuz they are evil...((Off beat is annoying through a whole piece)) Songs to be loved for eternity: ~Ride ~Sleep ~Song ~On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss (i have solo!) ~Sleigh Ride I HATE Christmas Festival. The French Horns have the CRAPPIEST part EVAH!

"Beautiful" from the King Kong Marching show. I hated it soooo much. It was so damn slow, and WAY to high pitched. We played it at a pep rally and the whole school fell asleep.
No kidding.

I remember one time I volentered in 7th grade to play a perciossin part adn the muis was Winter Festival. It was terrible, so during the winter break me and some friends (who weren't in band, they just wanted fire) went ot to the top floor of the school parking lot and burnt all the old papers we had from grade school. So I threw in the music sheets, it made the fire warmer.

I absolutely hate most Christmas songs (not because I don't have the spirit of Christmas but because most are too simple!) I especially hate (and always have) Jingle Bells, White Christmas, O Christmas Tree and there are several others that I don't even bother remembering. sweatdrop I also dislike High School Cadets by Sousa. -_-' The band decided to play it this year for parades.

Tohru Honda-san Pomp and Circumstance but I will NEVER have to EVER play it AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cause I'm a Senior, but that is sad too even though I hate that song SOOOOOOOOOOOO much. WE WERE going to Burn it for real when I our Band Director was retiring, but a certian Hurricane got in the way of that.....
