"Yoshitsune..." She was keeping her temper in check, wrapping an arm around Amu's shoulder to keep the oracle from falling. Another tingle danced down her spine as she said calmly, "Amu is a Lunar Oracle. That means that her mind is extremely sensitive to feelings like anger, hate, and rage, that become really detrimental to her health. Please...don't hurt her." Se paused for a moment, before adding, "If you have that much of a problem with what happened to Benkei, you and I can...discuss...that when she is in an area that will keep her mind safe from harm."

He walked away from them, the cold fires of hatred blazing in his heart. "I would say good-bye, but there's nothing good about it..."

Slate carefully let go of Amu, making sure that the girl wouldn' get hurt before she hurried to catch up with him. Now that they were out of Amu's mental range, she could speak her mind. "What will it take for me to convince you that it was the last thing I wanted to make Benkei a vampire, let alone a zombie?! I wasn't even intending any sort of trnsformation; I was only trying to stop his bloodflow, and then that damn demon took it and twisted it! It wasn't my fault, can't you understand that? And how can you just brush off the suffering of someone like you did to Amu??"

He turned, giving her a poisonous glance. "You didn't mean to. You didn't mean to, IS THAT THE BEST EXCUSE THAT ROTTING MIND OF YOURS CAN COBBLE TOGETHER, WOMAN!?! YOU CRIPPLED HIM TO THE POINT OF KILLING HIM WHEN YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT YOUR ACTIONS! IF THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE TO DO, YOU COULD HAVE AT LEAST HAD THE DECENCY TO PUT HIM OUT OF HIS MISERY, YOU b***h! IT WAS YOUR FAULT! IT WAS YOUR CARELESSNESS THAT DEFILED HIM THAT WAY!!! AND AMU IS DOOMED FROM THE START! SHE IS DOOMED TO SUFFER AS LONG AS MANKIND SUFFERS! SHE IS CURSED TO DIE AS LONG AS THE WORLD IS NOT PERFECT! MAYBE DEATH WOULD BE A RELEASE FOR ONE SUCH AS HER, HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF THAT!?!" He was breathing heavily, riled up in his blind fury.

Slate stood completely still as he finished his rant. As much as she hated to think of it, he was right. She was a vampire, after all, a being not meant to live after death, a monster that had to feed off the living to survive. She was really no better than a zombie herself. Stepping back, she lowered her head to avoid meeting his frenzied gaze, and she said, in barely more than a whisper, "You're right. I cannot argue any further. But..." she hesitated as the unwelcome sensation of tears rose in her eyes again, "...but if I go and do what should've been done centuries before...will I be forgiven? You, as Benkei's closest companion, should know the answer. Will I be forgiven and allowed to see him once more?"

He saw the look in her eyes and knew it to be sincere, realizing how much of an a*****e he had been. "Uh... I... Mmmm..." He clasped her hands gently. "I forgive you. And I know Benkei does as well. You two will meet again, and when you do it will be a joyous moment. I'm sorry. I was rash. I was so caught up in my frustration that I was dishonourable in my actions. You are forgiven. It is I who must ask to be forgiven." He knelt on one knee with his head bent down.

Slate's eyes widened in surprise. That wasn't what she'd expected. But she gently squeezed his hands and said, "No. I still think it is I who is at fault, but if it is what you wish to hear, then you are forgiven." She felt a shiver go up her spine again and stiffened. "I think there's something nearby. I can't tell what, though..."

He got up, standing back-to-back with her, both blades drawn. "I can sense it as well. Be on your guard, and remember that Benkei is here to guide you."

Slate tipped her head back slightly, sniffing the air and trying to sense where this odd feeling was coming from. "There's something in that direction," she said, pointing with a sword. "But then there's a bigger force in that direction." She pointed the other way.

She closed her eyes for a moment. "They're headed...right for us." She readied herself, slipping into a fighter's stance. She knew the scent now. "You need not stay with me. They're Vampire hunters, I'm the only one they'll be interested in."

Kaderot wanted t get in the middle of this but decided to keep his distance. "hmm its a surprised they haven't notice me im not trying to hide. "he said walking slowly up to Amu and stared at them, "do they fight alot or what" he asked her.

(key, Okami-san, is it okay if i have Kichi know Kaderot? cause he travels the dimensions helping those that have called him to that particular world, so he could have met Kaderot several times in theory.)
Kichi looked at Kaderot, thinking and decided to look after his own affairs, mainly the eradication of werewolves from this world, now that Fate was gone, and that Slate had someone to help her out, he could safely leave knowing that she was in safe hands. He turned and walked over to her, saying "Hey Slate now that you have Mr. Suave here to help you out I'm gonna head out after the werewolves, if we meet again I'll be sure to stick around and help you out for a bit, even if that only means talking over old times."
