Hello Everyone. My name is Ashley, but most call me Eskimo, or MOE for short. I'm a very friendly person, though I seem antisocial. I don't connect with others very well, so I write to get my message across. I love reading, writing, all kinds of music, roleplaying, art, photography, and animals. I enjoy old writers; shakespeare and poe, twain and many others. I also love philosophy, and theory. I'm very literate, and often a grammar nazi. Many people have trouble understanding me, and the way I speak; I often use words most people have never heard of. But I'll try my best to make my thoughts understood. I'm always on the move, working two jobs, and still attending school, along with early college credits. I start college this September, and turn 18 in only a few months.
I'm looking forward to being more active in this guild, now that life has calmed down just a bit. Please PM me with any roleplaying requests, or friendships. I enjoy the company...

Mr. E - Thanks so much. Writing is an escape from reality, to be honest. And I love that I can find so many more people with the same interests. I'm a pretty descriptive roleplayer. :]
Solace - I'm sure I will enjoy myself. Most of my other Roleplay guilds aren't very active, and it's a shame to wait around for nothing. I'm interested in all sorts of Roleplays, in all genres. So if you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Hello Hello! I am cleardaystux... but you can call me cleardaystux. I'm new to the Roleplaying Gems community... but I'm an experienced RPer. I enjoy making... mischief, mayhem, creatures, humans, orphans, and warriors. I've invented a mythological race called Shades, with two groups of people forming a superior group intent on stealing hearts. I usually play as a child abandoned by his mother (Montgomery "M" Siren), a formidable Shade member named Cecil (but who disguises himself as a human named "Shane"), and one of the most unlucky people on Earth, Lot Rose. But I can improv a character better than most, and tend to be very dramatic when I can. I also have an annoying but useful habit of putting the names of songs that would work well as background music, but you likely won't recognize the artists... I tend to use lesser-known bands. Want to RP? PM me... I don't bite. Cheers!

Welcome to the guild, cleardaystux!
I like the idea of putting music in posts. We once had a member who would link a word of his posts to a Youtube or Quicktime link, and the words combined with the lovely music made for a beautiful roleplaying experience.

Hello everyone, I'm Algaliarep. ^^
Some of you, if you know me at all, might know me better as Malachai Morrow. Up until I left the Fellowship of Finished Roleplayers last August, Chai was my main account. In fact, I still prefer to be referred to as Chai or Morrow if possible, since that was my moniker for nearly six years. I realize most people probably won't remember that however, so Algaliarep or just Al is fine.
Since I'm assuming most of you here probably won't know me from Adam (since I practically lived inside FeFiRo and avoided Barton Town like the plague once I had a guild to be part of.) I'll give a quick summary/introduction. (when I say quick, I mean that it should be somewhere under 5000 words. XD)
I joined Gaia in 2003 at the age of 15. My first half a year was spent in Barton town. I was brand new to RPing at the time, and though It might be hard to believe now if you've ever seen me post, I was almost a one-line wonder once upon a time. Well, I mean, most of my posts were at least a paragraph, but sometimes they could be really tiny paragraphs. It took me a while to adapt my creative writing style to work with roleplaying instead of using * * to mark actions and whatnot.
Somewhere throughout that mess of learning, I ended up joining a yaoi RP that eventually turned into the first guild I ever joined. As people dropped out of the RP, I picked up their characters one by one until I was playing 11 different people and there were only two others in the RP with me. (talk about playing multiples eh?) When Em disappeared off the face of the planet, the remaining player and I decided to find another place to play. We ended up in the Fellowship of Finished Roleplayers. I spent about four years there as not only an active roleplayer in almost all of the RPs, but also as a moderator. I think I did most of my RP growth in that guild, learning how to make different characters to adapt to different worlds and stories. I also learned how to set up my own roleplays so that they were comprehensive and informative as well as interesting to the general population.
After leaving FeFiRo I sort of drifted around in the two guilds I was still a part of (because I own them) until one of my guild members announced that she was going to try making an RP and asked if I would join. I joined and that was going great until it recently kind of died... I think that Miss Meat Shield, Sympy and I might have scared them all off with our uber posts of doom. sweatdrop The same thing happened with the second RP I joined out in Barton. Both of them are laying fallow right now, much to my dismay.
Because of this, when I was going through BG threads and saw a link to this guild, I decided to give it a shot. After a brief look around, I applied, and here I am!
I'm a bit of a character whore, having played close to 140 of them at a time during the peak of my FeFiRo career. I have a tendency to play multiple characters in a story to begin with, and then I'm usually the one to pick up characters that other people drop in order to keep a story going. I've had a lot of practice with it by now, so it's kind of second nature.
I'm usually drawn to RPs that are relationship friendly. Out of all the characters that I have had, I believe a maximum of 15 of them have ever stayed single... and that's probably stretching it. I don't think it was more than 10, but I'm being generous. XD Needless to say, I'm open to ideas for partners in just about any setting unless it really doesn't suit the character. Yaoi is my crack of choice, but I will RP yuri and het as well.
I like things that are taboo and squick others out. The darker, the better.
I'm drawn mostly to fantasy roleplays, especially if they involve witches, demons, vampires, and/or werefolk. (Even though these are a few of my favorite things, I was only very recently introduce to oWoD and nWoD, so I'm not particularly familiar with either of them.) Even though fantasy is my preference, I'm also open to all sorts of settings and stories. I wouldn't say that I pride myself on my adaptability, but it's certainly not shabby.
Umm...what else...
I'm not much of a gamer anymore, but I used to play WoW. I left before the Wrath of the Lich King expansion came out, but I was a level 70 Warlock before that. (gotta love demon summoning...) I've contemplated getting back into it now that warlocks can actually transform into a demon, but honestly It's not that big a draw. Written RP is my addiction of choice, and I'd much rather spend time writing out the actions of a spellcaster than sitting here and clicking a button.
My favorite authors are Jacqueline Carey, Kim Harrison, and Carol Berg. I have other authors whose books I enjoy reading, but nobody else has quite enraptured me in the same way as those three. If you ever want to know more, just ask, I would be more than happy to ramble on forever about their amazingly awesome superfantabulousness. Yes... that's a word because I say so, and because no word in the dictionary quite encompasses my love for them. ^^
Hmm... I dunno. XD I think I've probably rambled on waaaaaaay too long already. If any of you have stuck through this lengthy and unimportant rant, then you're a real trooper. If by some miracle you've read all this and you want to hear more, then please feel free to PM me at any time. ^^ I'm more or less and open book. Only... I'm worse than an open book, cause at least those are quiet. As you can plainly see, I'm chatty.

'Allo! Due to my obsessive competition with Chai I will be matching the introduction. >.> So there Chai, in your face! biggrin
Hello everyone! My name is Priscilla, Cilla(To a select few… <.<), Sympy, Bunny, Bun-Bun, Duckie(only Chai =p) and Inducer of the Sugar Headaches. All of these wonderful nicknames have stories attached to each but I won’t get into them, they’re long and rather repetitive. As for what to call me, for the moment unless we’re close, I’d suggest Sympy. :] Any who! Back to the introduction!
I am a 16 year old roleplayer, I’ve been rping since I was 12 and actually joined gaia in ’07 under a different account. When I first started roleplaying I had no idea what I was doing. I asked my Bestie then and to this day she still is, if she would write a chapter in a fanfiction I was writing from one of my character’s point’s of views. Of course I had no idea at the time there was such a thing as roleplaying, so it went for a year or so without a name. Nearing the end of my 12th year she told me about gaia and I was instantly hooked.
I actually did not know about Barton Town and all of its wonders so I roleplayed in the chatter box for quite some time, doing all sorts of one liners, ** for actions, and as I recall I godmodded once or twice. Ah those were the days of pure roleplaying innocence. It wasn’t until the Bestie and I started a roleplay of our own that is still going on today. It’s over 100 word document pages and let me tell you we’re pretty damn proud. It’s been a four year rp and we already have the ending set up, now all we need to do is find the usb we put it on and we’re set! Anyway, I digress.
The roleplay really did improve both of our skills tenfold and soon we were making six roleplays to keep ourselves entertained in the middle of school. When I reached 8th grade though I hit a dry spell of roleplaying and just writing in general so I didn’t for almost a year. When I returned to gaia in the summer it seemed like almost everything I had learned was old news and I needed to get better, so I found out there was such a place called Barton Town and oh did I rejoice! I picked up from where I left off, using my amazing skills of paragraphs. I had thought at the time that four paragraphs had been a lot and I was proud of how much I would write in comparison to other, and in actuality, I was considered ‘literate’ but it wasn’t until about a half a year ago I joined the ranks of advance literacy.
I’ve always loved writing, it’s been a passion of mine for quite some time but I do have just one obstacle in my way and that would be how lazy I am. I tend to be the sort that will start something (in a story, not roleplay) and then lose the inspiration to finish it. It usually takes a lot to get my butt into gear once I’ve lost interest but now I force myself to write every morning to keep the blood in my brain flowing. It’s a difficult process at times but I manage. Back to the writing… >.>
In all honesty, I’ve been rping yaoi for pretty much my whole roleplaying career. It’s an addiction that I have no intention of curing. I roleplay mostly seme males and on occasion I’ll write an uke, it’s just very difficult for me to do since I, as a woman in real life, tend to be quite dominant myself. Parts of my personality do leak into my characters and I believe that’s what keeps them real and relatable. When it comes to roleplaying anything other than yaoi, I will always accept. Trust me, I have no limits. Yuri and hetero are perfectly acceptable in my book along with some other styles considered debauch but we’ll leave that for curious minds to discover, won’t we? ^^
Music takes a very big part in how I write simply because when I’m writing a love scene, I have something disgustingly gooey playing in the background, when I’m writing something hardcore, such as a fight or, ehehe, something else, it tends to be metal. I listen to all genres, even rap if the post calls for it.
As for my characters, I tend to make the extremes of each. I usually will pick up a personality trait and have that be their main driving force. I’ve seen so many RPC’s lose their set personalities in an unnatural way because their writers don’t know how to transition them or simply because they forgot what the character was like. I am strongly against huge character personality changes, hence why I pick one trait and drill it into them.
Hm… I believe that’s enough about my writing.
Onto real life!
I’ll update this as the changes go.
At the moment I am in the 10th grade, nearing summer actually. This year has been hard on me simply because I’ve been very distracted on writing more than school work and it hasn’t been easy getting un-addicted. I’m 16 and I live in Florida, I think I mentioned the age somewhere else but just in case you forgot….
As for my interests I love to write, I think I made that obvious, I especially love reading, and I like to draw. As for physical activities I’m very much into sailing, soccer and football. Once I’m done with high school I plan on joining the Marines to make a difference in our world. I’m so sick and tired of everyone telling me about rape in third world countries, telling me I can do something to help by sending in some money. No, I want to help by stopping it completely, I want to be the woman who points the gun at the rapist’s head and tells him to get off before I shoot his brain out.
Personality wise I’m a tad bit jaded when it comes to love and relationships, I hardly believe in either. Besides that though I’m very easy to get along with, I absolutely love animals and am over protective of my friends. I tend to be a ‘loner’ at times even though I love being around people.
So yeah… I think that covers everything about me for the moment. Thanks for accepting me into your Guild! I hope we all make memories. =p Good ones. Not the really bad and annoying ones… >->
Hehe, I <3 you Chai~
