..what is ska? gonk

-Ska-

Wow, you're pretty knowledgable about music type stuff.

[/impressed]

Can't take all the credit. xp Got some of the info from Wiki, and a buncha skacore info from Stream, and some info from what I've discovered and interpreted from listening to the music. But yeah, music's one of my favourite subjects.

That is really awesome, and I also love Wikipedia (my friend in high school reports)!. Although I have never heard of the bands..but I live under rock... and maybe 3-4 years ago started peeking my head out to breath fresh air..

Are they really popular bands in ska? Japanese ska also sounds cool.. though I am unsure of the sounds... Did the Bosstones do "The Impression that I get?" Is that ska?

Yeah, ska bands are really freakin' awesome, any form of ska is just pure win. Some of the bands I mentioned might not be as popular to the skacore community, MU330, Skakin' Pickle, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Pot Shot, Mustard Plug. Those are a lot of third-wave ska bands I rarely see mentioned.

Japanese ska gets one of my highest recommendations, to start off, I'd suggest Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, seeing as how they really invented their own form of ska. For more of a third/second-wave ska taste, Pot Shot and Rude Bones.

And yeah, Mighty Mighty Bosstones did preform, The Impression That I Get, definately a great ska song and one of my favourites.

Then there's Korean ska, like the Witches.

All in all, I really like the attention to technique that asian ska shows. Its a nice contrast from the slightly more energy-focused American ska...

Reccomendation: Utawaremono. One of the better fantasy anime to come out lately... and as of episode 7 there is nothing you could really call magic. As a matter of fact, other than some cinematic fighting, spirit tiger, and the fact that most of the characters have (subtly added) animal ears, tails, or wings, this could even be called realistic fantasy.

I suspect that as of next episode more magic might seep in, but I trust it will be dealt with well.

I was looking up that one a little while ago, looked pretty good, I'll go and get an episode or two to preview it.

Snag at least the first three or four. I say this because you'll be hooked after the first two and the second two will delay things enough for you to get at least 5 + 6 while watching them.

Ewruru is the cutest.
I have up to episode 8 on my computer, but I've only watched 2.
I should probably watch what I download, rather than... Not? sweatdrop

I think we need to send most of Gaia here.
That's a very nice idea. rofl

It actually does say "grammar crisis room" in Japanese though. Makes me wonder what the room is really for...><;

Maybe it's something along "1984" when the Ministry of Love really tortures people to get them to assimilate to the public ideas, hence, eliminating free thought and creativity?
Or maybe they edit university papers? Nah... rofl

I really need to read 1984 again. ^^;

Finished with Suikoden V, 100 hours.

Now to start on Shadow Hearts: From the New World

Yet another week only leaving my room for food and drink.
5 bottles of soda, two things of juice, and one gallon of milk in a week.

If that's the game I think, I'm kinda torn on it.

On one hand, I hear the franchise is pretty kickass... on the other, I have some serious problems with a Native American girl who looks like a blonde beach-bunny with a really dark tan.
I speak from experience... Native Americans do NOT look good with blonde hair. gonk (No, I didn't bleach my hair... my cousin bleached her own. She looked SO DAMN BAD!! She made me want to cry.) crying

......... Anyone got a gun? I wanna shoot this dumb customer in my mini-shop. stare
It amuses me to see this, as I was rather impressed by your patience with the individual in your shop. xd
She really kinda... pissed me off. sweatdrop Luckily, I'm able to fake polite pretty well.
whee I figured you were irritated, but I was just waiting for you to give her the boot. A job well done on being nice.
Do I get a gold star? surprised

What did the customer do? I remember some of working K-Mart, and now at my current job in the parking booth, and basically, I found it coming down to that many customers are lazy, do not like to read, and have high expecations (Kmart: that where ever products are placed, that is how much they are.. doesn't matter if anyone else moved them there or were lazy on accident and placed them back in the wrong spot.. so that was us cashiers' fault always).. did they blame you for stuff not your fault, too?
It's in my mini-shop here on Gaia. You can get there by clicking the link in my profile. Anyhoos.... she was just.... fustrating. I should point out that she thought she'd get my attention by PMing me. Yes, PMing me while I'm offline is a GREAT way to get my attention. rolleyes
