They said if I wanted my freedom, I had to kill the grandnephew of the Don of the enemy gang, but obviously, I failed. I have researched him for a few years now. In the case of failure, I was supposed to signal the others and give your location before I died. If I hand over the device to you, will you let me go? In exchange for the information, the Mafia would've offered you protection and would've kept you safe. The Mafia is the most powerful gang in this city - anyone else is chop-suey compared to them. Tony couldn't tell if Sami was speaking the truth or just sucking up, but either way, he didn't say anything. He just stared at Lawliet and waited for an answer.

They have a hit list of gangs. Everything is corrupt in Chicago. Even the government is filled with thugs, no less the police. I'm sorry but your gang just isn't enough to protect me from the rest of the world, and it wasn't like I had a choice. But... if they think I died before I could contact them, they would never find me." He said. 'Laura's seriously going to kill me now. I used her information from that accident. She's so going to kill me nice and slow... Laura's going to be furious. She doesn't want them involved in that League... even though their still going to be after her anyway. She just lied about how much info she picked up so they didn't have to be involved.'

"You would love it if I just DISAPPEARED." Sami raised an eyebrow at the boy before standing up, taking out her phone and dialing, holding the phone to her ear.
She waited for a moment, and after a moment she began to talk quickly in what sounded like German, the awkward words and phrases spewing from her mouth. The words 'Moonlight Blood League' were mentioned, but apart from that nothing else was recognizable.
She waited, listening. Then she nodded and closed the phone again.
"I think you fail to realize that Mafia has bases all over the world as well. The Mafia just isn't in New York." She stared at Lawliet coldly. "It's in San Francisco. Houston. New Orleans. Tallahassee. It isn't just in the U.S. either. Spain. Italy. Hungary. Russia. Afghanistan. Egypt, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Romania - the Mafia is everywhere." She glared at Lawliet. "You're a fool if you think the Mafia wouldn't be able to protect you. It's a well known fact that the Mafia is powerful on both a local and international scale - why the hell do you think it's so famous? Either you were lied too..." she pressed the muzzle of the gun against Lawliet's head. "Or you're lying yourself. Now which one is it?"Well <********> you too.

Oh s**t. If it really is Lawliet, and he spills the beans, there's going to be hell Tony thought.
Tony stood behind Sami and gave Lawliet a look that told him there will be trouble if he mentioned the mafia was part of this.
((it seems either way, Lawliet is screwed. Oh dear))
