"Who's to say it can't be applied to crossbow?" A little shrug. "Initiallay business. Use it or not, I don't care. If you find a market for it here than you do, I know I can use it on Andal, and I'm going to have my own little fun with them....frankly I'm sick of loosing my arrows." She had not a one that she and Cymarron had made together do to that fact. "Besides, I still have my horses to fall back on and down here, there are none left. We're the only ones with horses that can survive in the Underdark. Isn't that nice?" A brush of her bangs out of her face and a turn to him. "So then...onto other things oh so unimpressed one?"
"Perhaps you don't understand just how equal on a field I can be with him...he has to get near me to do horrible nasty things to me...I don't even have to be able to see him to do horrible nasty things to him. Hardly under his control...it's more of a failsafe truce we have struck."
A hard look from him to her. "Hardly a hypocrite...you just can't understand such things." A scoff. "Besides, when one's life is to be a tool of sorts, it is better to pick your use than have it picked for you...and that is the difference from Llothian hold to what has been done now. And yes...happy...the almighty Sevilin, put back in his place, no longer a worry to you...shouldn't you be laughing right now? Perhaps you wish to mock me as well."

"I didn't say I was unimpressed. It is a very inventive and quite a good idea. Crossbow bolts aren't made like arrows. so I'm not sure how well it woudl work. But, if it coudl be applied to a crossbow bolt, the ability to shrink your bolt size down and carry nearly quadruple or more than most normally can woudl be very, very lucrative buisness. Drow would probably pay handsomely for that, since then they wouldn't have to go through the wizards and thier back alley deals for that kind of prize. not to mention humans."
A slight grin.
"Yes. Nightmare's and Zephyrs and Zephmares. But, now that I look at this..what are you going ot tell poor Cymarron? he makes his arrowheads for you out of bone, not metal. Or will you forgo the arrowheads from him and just ask for venom and feathers as your wedding gift?"
Onyx shook his head. He didn't know anything about anything in his system. little wisps went out form his hand again, seeking Aella, and Omega.
"Omega. that woman...I was wrong to try what I tried. She woudl know. she probably put it in me. Stupid, stupid onyx."
Before twitching again, wings flaring and shaking.
"I want to go home."

"I guess I don't but that's nothing new, now is it? I don't understand anything when it comes to you." She rubbed her eyes, just irritated and guild ridden all at the same time. She just wanted to scream out her frustration and shake her fist at the ceiling. Her eyes narrowed to slits and she returned that steely look. His last comment pissed her off royally and she had to physically restrain herself from jumping up and wrapping her hands around the drow's throat. She mimicked his so often used scoff, "Oh yes Sevilin I wish to mock you. Dammit, I just faced Malik's wrath in a completely misguided attempt to defend you but listen to me cackle and laugh because you've been put in your place. Ha ha..." Slowly her head dropped to the table and she banged her forehead a few times muttering things. "Stupid...useless...stupid...stupid..."

"Make the whole thing out of collar metal. Problem solved. Either way, someone is dipping into your collar metal." Though a raised eyebrow then at his mention of Cymarron. "Why dear Malik is that concern for his feelings I hear in your voice or merely overdone sarcasm?" A little shake of her head. "There are uses for such arrowheads as well...after all, who is going to look for a bone arrowhead? Special occassions and when I know I'm not risking loosing them. SHow off arrows if you will. And he can give me whatever he chooses, I'm not picky." But she twined her arm around his, leaning into him some as her other hand grabbed Zahara's daggers to pass off to a slave to return them to her. "Shall we then?"
"You mean the anger from him you no doubt face from giving his surface elf a beating, yes? I'd personally say bravo...she causes you nothing but strife...has already betrayed you...and could of killed you yesterday if she really wanted to. But you're useful to her...because you can provide the means to her having children in say three years as opposed to thirteen. Isn't it fun realizing that you and I are alike in that aspect? We're both tools to the both of them. One is just more outspoken in his 'I'm the boss' attitude than the other."

"Stop with the ships, Onyx. They are hardly making it out of my front door, you have too little energy." Another sigh. "If this Omega woman is who she says she is, then whatever she did is probably magic. And that'as a whole other ball field."
He looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Which home?"

"Neither. a question posed because Cymarron already knows about you and I, along with many others in the manor. which means, if I know him, he's making a lfurry of potential wedding gifts and whatnot, after figuring out that is a traditional human custom that some elves indulge in."
A slight grin, taking her arm.
"Lets then. got a place in mind or should we just wander through our lair?"
"home. the Manor. mom and dad. I'm dying down here. I don't stop molting, we weren't ment for the dark and stone. and this..whatever it is only speeds it up. I feel angry all the time, vengeful. I want to go home..."
Muscle spasms and cold sweat.
"They deserve to see me, if this is going to kill me. I don't want to be a name and a grave in a place they can't come to."

Zahara didn't think her eyes could any narrower or any harder but they did. "I am not a tool!" she burst out slamming her hand against the table. A moment later she was looking at a random slave who looked quite unhappy to be standing in front of her and he held out her daggers. She snatched them from him a little too roughly and cut him in the process but before she could heal him or say anything he'd turned and left. She tossed her weapons down on the table and shook her head, "Before yesterday Piper put her trust and her loyalty in me and I in her. I broke that but the fact that I can get her pregnant is not why she didn't kill me yesterday Sevilin. I refuse to believe it. Piper is good, she's a lot better than I"ll ever be..."

He grunted in the back of his throat. He was positive, if he knew nothing else, that Onyx was't going to die from this. But he decided not to say that. He didn't want to be an influence on his brother's decision.
"You're molting might be from other...unresolved issues, Onyx. If it were something environmental chances are it would be affecting me as well."
"Our birthplace, then." He sighed. "Having a difficult time finding your niche?"

A raised eyebrow up at him. "What are you already ahead of me in informing people of us getting married then?" He was all go and no rest now wasn't he. Perhaps that was part of his 'I'm negelcting you' ideals. Kind of fit. "So we live in a lair now too? Honestly you and your word choices." A little smile, leaning her head against his shoulder. "Well...you're the one that feels you're neglecting me...how do you intend on starting to make that up to me." Yes she would admit stressing her out, though she couldn't see neglect. Then again, this was Piper who could barely pay attention to anything 'bad' Malik did.
A tilt at of his head. He'd admit it, he was speaking in such ways just to get back at her...hoping she could fathom how he felt about it and what not when she dug at him and goaded him on. Hypocrite to hypocrite. "You broke that...just as she broke yours. Fair's fair, isn't it? An eye for an eye so to speak? She had it coming if you ask me." Sevilin was indeed speaking on some founded ground, not all just bs.

"My niche is being a killer. to hunt and kill. that is my place. the same as it was for our father before us..when he was alone. a bar brawl, a highwayman..these are the things I am good at. even my power, little as it may be, is to harm, to injure. even those little wisps..the spines of light can cut."
A snort.
"Molting is molting. It's getting difficult to fly."
Then a slight raises brow, before coughing and hacking a hairball.
"You don't think I'm dying. I know that look. that's the 'stop being a drama king' look. I feel like I'm dying. this stuff makes me hurt all over. my muscles spasm, hot and cold flashes. all I need is my life flashing in front of my eyes."
"Well. it's lesson time for the other drow, so food in the kitchen is out. have to go near them to hit the stables. how about first, we get a nice long soak in the spas, as you coudl certainly use it. then how about a massage, and just to help spoil you a bit, we can have broog make you a nice piece of jewelry. maybe a set of earrings or something."

She didn't want to hear this, didn't want to hear Sevilin speaking of trust being broken and destroyed. Her irritation was shown by tapping those nails in a staccato beat. "Then chalk it up to we're even. I broke her trust and she broke mine. She lied to me, allowed that...incident to occur and while I can't completely regret it nor can I completely absolve her from all the guilt. She certainly won't be able to do it to me so now we shall both suffer for our own misdeeds. Justice is served." She fiddled with her daggers, noting that they had been cleaned of blood. Had Piper done that or the slave? "I suppose you could even say that was belated payment for what she did the first time."

"Really...is it that early?" Well that at least meant that the parents were still in reverie, what with thier odd little schedule they liked to follow and what not. Not that she was trying to escape them but some time alone with Malik right now would be nice. "Joy...you're not making me eat." Of course all that really meant was that he wasn't hungry yet himself. "Throw in some cinnamon and I think that will work until tonight." One of those cheeky little grins of hers. "You know you should get into the jewel craft trade."
"Alright then." And yes he let it drop that simply. A book was duly slid down the table to her. "Now that we've got that out of the way, you have and hour and a half. You can either read for that time or you can rune for that time. The choice is yours." So easy for him to detach and then reattach to something else wasn't it?

"Being a killer isn't a niche. A hunter, maybe. Bweing in your niche is being able to take from your surroundings just as much as you give back. It's a...homeostasis if you will. You're taking, but your not giving." He shruged. "I tihnk it's some form of stress that's causeing the molting."
He chuckled. "As for the look, no I don't think you are going to die, but I do think it's serious. I had no intention of shrugging off your pain."

Damn the men in this household and their tendency to say things designed solely to make her think or play headgames with her. They got such pleasure from doing that and she absolutely hated it. "How chivalrous of you to actually give me a choice," she said catching the book. Honestly she didn't feel like learning anything today, she wanted to get back to her potions work. Figure out just why her idea hadn't come through for her. With everything she knew, it should have neutralized the poisonous aspect. Unless there was more research she needed to do which she knew she had anyway. Still tapping those nails she mulled over her choices. She could read or rune, which was the lesser of the two evils? Reading obviously but could she read for an hour and a half? Not likely. She'd go insane by the end of it and he didn't allow for long breaks. "Both." The book was then flipped open and she started to read. She'd divide it in half, forty-five minutes devoted to each.

"Do you think we could try to be civil with one another?" He did so hate fighting with her...felt like she sucked the life out of him everytime they had one. And he liked his life...well the existing part not the manner in which was was lived. But a shake of his head as she opted for both and started with reading. Fine by him...
Sevilin quickly scribed the commonplace activation circle on the table...then hoisted himself up on the flat surface and sat cross legged in it's middle. Bending his elbows out he placed his hands together in that common pryaer motion. Though it was only held for so long as he pulled his hands apart and let them hover there, about six inches between them. Red eyes seemed to go hard, yet not harshly for a moment as they gazed intently at that empty space between his hands.
