Today I worked. 9 to 5, that's me.
Oh, and I found out my local Safeway suspended a worker for stopping some idiot from abusing his pregnant girlfriend:

Sometimes regulations are okay to follow, but I hate seeing a person doing a good deed getting screwed over like that. Needless to say, I'm writing a letter to the store owner telling her she's wrong in doing what she did and that I think she's a s**t-eater...except in more professional words. Hehe.
Anyway, during work, I also found out that bureaucracy has screwed me over once again: I sent a change in my schedule to the Army Corps of Engineers down in Sacramento to bump me up to full-time. Not only did they not bump me up to full-time - they set me on 24hrs a week instead - but they also said it'll take two pay periods for them to correct the problem and get me into full-time, during which time I will be living in a state of near-bankruptcy while I'm paying off my debts; no driving around, no leisures, and living off whatever food I have in my pantry (enough to last two pay periods, but not very good). On the bright side; I'll have four day weekends for the next four weeks to do absolutely nothing because I have no cash.
Still, I'm better off than Ryan Young, the heroic Safeway worker who got screwed over by red tape. Seriously, I hate Safeway even more now.
