It had finally let up, thankfully. Zahara was leaning back against the bathroom wall, her head resting against the cool stones, taking deep breaths and fighting the waves of nausea that were still rolling through her. By Kefele, her idea hadn't worked...she certainly couldn't give the potion to Piper. It would no doubt kill her if it was poisoning Zahara this bad. She placed a hand on her stomach and pushed herself to her feet, walking out of the bathroom, slowly and heading for her medicine bag. She didn't get far though, merely rooting through it before she dropped it, turned and fled back to the bathroom taking up that position again. Apparently she had more in her stomach to lose. Joy. The sounds of a retching drow filled the bathroom and that odor caused her to wrinkle her nose. Miserably she reflected that it was probably a good idea she'd tested it first...though at this point in time Piper's wellbeing didn't really matter.

"You've done nothign wrong, Chev'. if I wanted a drow, I'd have been engaged to someone like Zahara. It's my fault for piling all this stress on top of you. No matter how stoic you are, it's not my privilage to keep piling things on until you can't bear it. you are not Brell, and I shouldn't expect you to carry the weight of the Underdark on your shoulders for me...I've neglected you."

He took her hands in his.

"So caught up with this Andal buisness. and not even the wedding portion, where my mind should mostly be, that I've let you down, ordering and piling things on you as if you were some servant to bear such burdens. You are my equal, not my lesser, and you should be treated like that, by me especially. and I apologize."

Okay that was enough...though he should be nicer since she was...nice...to him the day before but that didn't particularly matter to him right now. She seemed begrudged and angry to help him yesterday anyway for whatever reason she had chosen to. So then, up he got, making his way upstiars and to Zahara's room.

He was about to knock when he heard the distinct sound of wretching. He knew that one well, considering how much he had done it. Great...she was sick now. Well...that wasn't going to excuse her. Pushing her door open he made his way over to her bathroom, pushing that door open as well. "Sorry to say but the 'I'm sick' excuse won't fly with me."

She would of scruntched her nose in perplexed fashion if it didn't hurt so bad. Wait a moment...she though she was the one who was being uptight about this and here he was saying that he was neglecting her and more or less using her as a pack mule of sorts for his lording ways. Piper looked down to thier hands then back up to him...again there was that crying feeling to which she bit her lip to hold back a moment to regain herself. "I understand why though...you're just...trying to make sure things are going to be alright for us, where ever we are." Talked as if she was excusing him of his proclaimed trangressions against her. A little shrug. "Someone needs to be able to put up with you, it just happens to be me. Besides...this Andal thing is important right now...you have things to learn and what not...oddities to be warned of, deal with."

"That's Kieran's job. You are my fiancee, I should be treating you to enjoyable times, making you feel as important to me as you are. I shouldn't be piling things at your feet and expecting you to handle them without question, on top of your anxieties and your own needs and wants. You are the most important thing in this world to me. There is nothing I would not sacrifice for you, there is no one I would not go through to get to you. Though why you put up with me, I don't think the Gods have figured that one out yet."

She would have answered him but she wasn't quite finished yet. A few moments later she leaned back and glanced up at him with a shake of her head. "Your capacity for concern never ceases to astound me," she said dryly. Once again she pushed herself to her feet, holding onto the wall to see if her body was going to revolt on her again. It appeared that she was alright so she poured some water into her hand to wash out the horrible taste and disposed of the waste. Still walking slowly, she made it back into her room and tossed an anti-nausea potion down her throat then collapsed back on her bed. "Give me a few moments to recover and I'll be downstairs." Sevilin appeared just fine, didn't he? Completely healed and chipper as ever. Malik's words briefly visited her and she blinked up at him. She could ask him, but then that would mean she was buying into Malik's psychological games. Zahara was not about to let him play headgames with her, wondering what was true and what was not. One hand rested lightly on her uncovered abdomen while the other was thrown up to cover her forehead. "Ugh..."

Piper gave a little almost in audible laugh, though that was a little painful as well. Okay anything that induced facial expressions was not a good thing today...Zahara really had done a number on her as Malik had said even if Piper had 'won'. "Love makes you do some pretty strange things, like put up with people that others feel don't even deserve the effort. Pulling her hands from his and moving into his arms she wrapped her own around his neck in a hug, pressing a kiss to his shoulder before gently resting her head there...would of nuzzled him in normal fashion but that would a really hurt. A little sigh. "You do the best that you can for me A'mael...that's what's important."

"Your capacity to spit acid constantly never ceases to astound me either." Moving out of her way as she was moving about and throwing back potions. For a moment he watched her where she was flopped on the bed, himself leaning on the doorframe with arms crossed.

With a sigh he walked over and in tradition that it had become, he grabbed her ankle and pulled on it, pulling her halfway off the bed before grabbing her with his other hand and then pulling her up into his arms, bride style, and kicking open her door, walking downstairs with her. He didn't like to wait sometimes that was for sure. "You can recover on your way down."

A frown appeared from beneath her hand and she closed her eyes, sighing. Needless to say she was not prepared for what he did. His hand closed around her ankle and she kicked at him, not that it did any good. A small shriek but then she was hauled up into his arms and he was leaving her room. Well, at least he didn't throw her over his shoulder, she really didn't think her stomach could handle that at this moment in time and her pride certainly couldn't. Quickly she took inventory of herself. No boots, bloodstains on her clothes, her hair was probably a mess, but did he care? Oh no. It was time for lessons and that meant she'd better be ready for it. "I hear that patience is a virtue Sevilin, might do you some good to find some..." she snapped back at him though her voice wasn't as ticked as it usually would be in this type of situation. Any slave who saw her got a glare and she ran her fingers through her sleep mussed hair, attempting to smooth the wayward strands. "Now please put me down, I won't run away, I promise. You'd just chase me down anyway.." she muttered.

He didn't put her down until they were in the dinning room and when he did put her down it was right in the seat she usually occupied during such sessions. "I have patience, but also but so many hours od dark and early, now don't I. I do say that I commend you for being up and about, even if you were loosing your dinner. And I don't chase women."

Though he frowned lightly as he took to notcing that she wasn't up to par, fingers touching at blood stains, then noticing her shoulder. Well that got him to kneel down next to her chair, taking hold of her arm so that she souldn't yank away as fingers proded at the gash in her shoulder that looked rather deep. "What happened here?"

"Sometimes my best isn't good enough. But I'll always be here at your side. Always there for you, no matter what."

A pet to her hair, grining slightly as it was indeed getting longer. looked good too.

"Think Fianna and Kieran are alright after...seeing my like that? I know kieran woudl be fine. But I'm a bit concerned about Fianna. That was not a part of me she needed to see."

"That's your opinion. Your best will always be good enough for me, even if everyone else says its not. It's you and me against the world, defying things over and over...that's what's imortant." A little nod and perhaps the tiniest smile at his petting her hair...yes she knew it was getting longer, her hair naturally grew fast, thus the almost constant dagger hacking and restreaking. But she pulled back from him slightly, letting her hands slide down to rest on his upper arms. "They'll be fine...you've never seen my father act that way...and believe it or not, he has." A little nod. "Andalian elven ferality can be just that. I've seen it." Not directly in her father, but through the knowledge of elven communion. One of those littel reassuring smiles of hers. "Don't worry...she won't hate you."

"Gee thanks. You certainly put that silver tongue of yours to use don't you?" Of course he'd have to go and poke at things wouldn't he? That got a wince, both when he touched bruised skin and a flash of pain as she bit her lip at the pain in her shoulder. "Poison tipped arrow...right in the shoulder from a rather high altitude," she explained bringing her own hand up to knock his away. "Don't poke at it...it hurts."
PostPosted: Sun Jun 25, 2006 5:25 pm

"Poison tipped arrow? Didn't think you one to get tangled up with the likes of those who could shoot arrows with accuracy of this sorts. Who's been doing the shooting." He'd like to say a certain surface elf but that was his own opinion. Besides, there were more than one of those around this place right not, much to his dipleasure.

"You have to poke. This doesn't heal right and you won't be able to use your arm right ever again...can affect your runing." Okay...what was that? Was he showing concern for her well being? Well he better stop that right quick...getting good intentions shoved back in your face wasn't his idea of good times. "Can I take a good look?" A cleric would call that the 'I want to poke and it's really going to hurt' line.

"Well after we got back, she made a beeline for Kieran. So lord knows what those two talked about. And come to think of it...since staying here to long might activate lord knows what runes your mother put in here..and some of them would cause you to make faces and be really loud I'm sure..unless you want to tempt it, is it time to get up yet?"

A small smile, and a kiss on her forehead lightly. he knew trying to her lips might cause her some pain so this would work.

A bitter laugh and she sighed, "Piper. Although I didn't realize she had poison tipped arrows...or that she'd use them." A small noise of displeasure and then she muttered, "I'm sure Malik would greatly enjoy that." Her shoulder rolled trying to rid the discomfort but that made her hiss instead as a white hot pain shot through it. Her own knowledgeable gaze roved the wound and she knew he was right, it did need to be taken care of and as soon as possible. She shouldn't have left it as long as she had. Sevilin got a disgruntled look, she knew the code words but she sighed, "If you must...just don't poke any harder than you have to. I'm not like you, I'm a baby when it comes to pain..."

Another light laugh from her at him, giving him that fond look. "What you didn't check the room when you came up last night?" Then again she couldn't blame him, last night had been hectic. Hm...she was going to have to check under the bed and what not later. "I suppose we should, tempting as the offer may be." Hey...they hadn't had a night, or any time of day for that matter, together for a while and he had spoiled her. Thus going to stand, a little squeak from her and she sat back down on the edge of the bed. Ow...yup, she was convicned Zahara had metal in her boots. But she braced herself a moment for pair and got herself up. Joy, limping. "Believe me, things will be fine...because I say they will, that's why do you don't even have to ask." Someone had to be the positive one. "Oh and remind me I have something to show you."

He shook his head. "I told you, didn't I?" Then again...her ambushing the surface trash and looking like she was intent on killing her shouldn't provoke less than that intended response. Yes he knew that, runes told him a lot. Even if he found himslf damned blocked out of Malik and Piper's room. "Wood elves are like drow in aspect of thier projectiles...if they're going to send something to do the job, it better work."

One finger prodded at the wound, as the hand he had hold with spayed the edges. Someone might of though that he was going to shove a finger in it but instead he scribbed a rune and seemed to stare very hard. Old rune mage trick that involved a sort of 'see through solid objects' ploy. Thus he could literally see her bones. "Well...nothing his back broken...that usually happens when arrows are yanked out." In fact his hands were surprisingly gentle, even as he took to scribing another rune.
