Dari had to park in a nearby commuter lot to combat the thick chain laced across the entrance to the mountain's parking lot. It was a normal deterrent. it wasn't going to stop them, though! Dari got out and started unloading their equipment. "You'll be able to see them better too. And smell them better! You can smell better than me, I'd bet."

Mostly good things? Cody gave Dari a smile. "I look forward to it, then," he said. He got out of the car and took the picnic basket with them. "In which form?" He teased. "I know I'd win against one, at least."
He bent and picked up the bag carrying their tent. "At least we won't get lost in the dark."

"Having senses is far more fun," Dari said, and started across the street with Cody. "I could always dissolve your very being, though." His brow furrowed. Wait. Would a werewolf heal too quickly to dissolve and just live in anguish? How terrible!
"Well, if you lead us..." he teased.

"You wouldn't, though," Cody reminded him. He moved slightly ahead, looking back at Dari. "You'd miss me too much." He took Dari's teasing with a smile. "Don't pretend you can't see as good as I can," he said.

"Me either," Cody smiled at Dari.
"Maybe I'll get us lost on purpose, then," Cody suggested. "We might find that ghost I told you about last time we visited."

"If we brought Michael, he would be able to tell us if it was real or not," Dari offered. They'd have to carry an extra thing or let Michael possess one of them, but he went out with Maia all of the time. He was well worth the trust. Could a bag of slime even be possessed, though?

"Oh, no," Cody shook his head. "Then there'd really be a ghost on our mountain." He paused and waited for Dari to catch up. "Let's set up camp in our spot."

"Maia brings him out all the time. Besides, he was nice to you, wasn't he? I mean, I got the idea he was still being a bit creepy on purpose, but that's Michael. When we have ghosts, he pretty much deals with them himself, and only the last one had any real fighting."
Dari jogged to meet Cody and caught up. "I want you to meet the rest of my friends. The entities. I want you to learn to like them."

"He was nice," Cody agreed. That didn't mean he wanted to share their spot with him. "We could take him to the theater," he suggested. "Maybe to a play."
"I do like them," Cody said. "The ones I've met. Maybe I can meet the others st Thanksgiving?"

"I don't think I've ever asked if he's been to a play. He's from an era and a class that enjoyed them," Dari said. He shrugged.
"Well, we do have many of them over. I know Lori's family doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving. Some day you'll have to meet the other werewolves."

"We should take him to one," Cody said. "Invite him sometime. In the summer, they do Shakespeare plays in the park. Every Wednesday or so. They're free. We could take him to those."
He paused. "Someday," he agreed.

"If we go to those early enough, they'll give us real fruit popsicles," Cody said, thoughtfully. He turned to look at Dari then. "I know. I'm too busy thinking about how sexy my fiancée is to think about meeting other guys, though," he gave Dari a playful nudge.
