I hate my job, they are making me work way too many hours for a new part-time employee, my speech class just got like 10 times harder because of our new assignment, which is forcing us to turn in something every class. I have a group presentation in 2 weeks, a music presentation on thursday, and I'm still tired from working the closing shift last night. At this time, I hate my life. I feel so weary. I'm drained physically, mentally, and emotionally. I can feel that I'm reaching my breaking point. At this rate, it is only a matter of time before I break down from the stress. I also need to have my spring course picked out and ready in one week. I probably shouldn't even be here, but whatever. Well I better be going. Talk to you guys whenever. Bye

Crazy a** Halloween night for me man! domokun
I went to a dance club with my sister and her friends(5 friends)...I was the only guy. cool Anyway, you get to dress up for Halloween in this club so I went as a vampiric biker. Once we got there we all started dancing and having fun. As we're dancing I notice one of my sister's friends talking to two other girls who've I never seen before. Suddenly, some guy comes out of nowhere and starts talking to one of the two girls, then they start to push each other. Before the guy could push the girl a second time, I self-conciously reacted and caught his forearm, then stepped in front of the girl. I'm not the violent/physical type and to be quite honest, I've never been in a fight my entire life, yet here I was standing in front of this guy who was at least a head taller then me. I ask him calmly, "What's goin on here?" He yells something in my ear, I didn't understand a word of it, but that didn't matter cause I used a line that calms every pissed off person. I responded with, "Just forget about it dude, we're all havin fun here." and patted him on the back. He gave me like some kind of rock symbol that means "peace" I guess, then walked off. After that, one of my sister's friends escorts the two girls out, but as she walked pass me she grabbed a nice big handful of my left buttocks. redface Guess she was impressed at how I stood up to the guy. sweatdrop After that, I pretty much had 2 of my sister's friends fighting over me. Not literally, ofcourse. The one that grab-assed me pulled me aside and started dancing with me then we started to make out 4laugh , then the other girl pulled me aside and started dancing with me right after. As we were dancing, the previous girl came up from behind me and started dancing behind me. eek mrgreen Hehe, moving on though....but yeah, those were the highlights of my night. I didn't get any sleep, hence why I'm up so damn early, and I work today too gonk ....yeah...it's going to blow. But whatever, this is a halloween night to remember! biggrin Being 21 is so damn awesome!
Ocarina: Welcome to my world, bud. 3nodding It was the same for me, and pretty much is the same for anybody who gets into their first real job. You start to get real depressed cause work and school takes up most of your time. I felt the same way, nearly on the breaking point of totally losin it and becoming super depressed. I was so miserable, and unhappy with my life. But then I realized...this is life. And that I'm just gonna have to deal with it and stop feeling sorry for myself cause all you gain from a negative attitude towards yourself and life in general is: self-destruction. Do what I did: I started to force myself to see the brighter side of things. I forced myself to smile on a daily basis. I forced myself to have fun and enjoy my job despite how much it sucks. At the same time, if you're working with a customer service job, compliment customers, make other people smile. It actually makes you feel better about yourself whenever you make someone else smile at you. Soon enough, I no longer had to force myself to do any of that anymore, and though there are still times in my job when I feel like just walking out the door and quitting right there on the spot, there are still the good days when I laugh a lot with my co workers. You have your good days and bad days. Today at work is a perfect example of what I'm talking about: We got a shipment from UPS in the morning that was about at least 20 boxes. All filled with 50-60 new games. I had to take out the cd and manual from almost every game in those boxes, sticker them, and put it all away, what's more, the area where we place the games at was completely packed tight. So I had to make room for the hundreds of new games. At the same time, I was getting emails from the company, giving out a ridiculously long list of new games that needed to be restickered and converted to used. Not to mention, the many customers constantly coming in and destroying the store and bringing in trade-ins. 1 customer in particular brought about 200 or so dvd movies to trade in simultaneously as I got the huge shipment. So needless to say....I was really ******** hating my job today. BUT...soon as my co worker arrived I saw all the ridiculous labor as a passtime. We just chatted and laughed as we worked. I also took the time to converse with customers who came in about video games and Halloween and stuff. Time flew by, and by the time I clocked out I was already finished with everything and feeling much better about myself. So yeah, that's pretty much all the advice I can give to you about that. 3nodding

Not as much time to converse with people at the grocery store, but I crack jokes when I can. Sounds like had a good night. I'm glad. I got two more A's in Music, so my GPA is going to sky rocket this semester. But thanks for the advice dude. I really do like my job, but after a certain number of hours, I start to tire out fast. I have a friend there, but because the grocery store is such a busy place and jobs are usually one person, I don't get to talk with him alot, but its nice when I do. Marcy is a nice checker, we have some pretty good laughs. I don't like David though. He just radiates "I don't want to be here, don't talk to me, hurry up" kinda vibe. Anyways, I thanks for the advice, its kinda strange though hearing it from you. No offense, but you are usually doom and gloom. I'm glad to hear you're doing well.

Yeah, I know what you mean by the doom and gloom thing. I've actually changed a lot recently, mainly cause my life has been getting more interesting. I'm getting a tattoo today of a wolf howling to the moon on my arm surrounded by a circular frame of vines and dark purple roses and thorns on it.

The rough draft for my speech is done, and I got my check for last week, a sollid $221.81 after taxes. And I got my part of the group presentation in geography ready for November 12. So that's outta the way. I did my presentation in music thursday and got an A, so there's that. I'm way ahead of the power curve. And I have Sunday off. yay! I'll find out next week's work scedule tomorrow. My spring semester classes are picked out and ready to be turned in on tuesday. I'm really ahead of the game. I totally have nothing to do on sunday. maybe I'll take that time to run some errands I've been needing to do. like buy a new bike lock, and spysweeper, return some shoe pads. Maybe I'll even get a hair cut. Whatever. Its been a hard week, but I got SO much accomplished. YAY ME!

Congrats Ocarina. ^_^
Yeah, I got my tattoo done today....and it looks ******** AWESOME!!! pirate mrgreen domokun domokun blaugh It came out absolutely perfect! Better then I had imagined! The wolf and the moon looks exactly like our first banner for this guild. Remember the white wolf howling to the moon and the forest underneath? He put one rose by the wolf's neck, signifying my heart, and the thorny vines curl and wrap around the wolf and moon and meet at the top. I will post a pic when I get this baby colored in. But I need to wait awhile for it to heal. sweatdrop

Atticus the Black Mage yeah and when your REALLY old it will look deformed. stare just saying Meh. That won't be until a very long time. wink I live my life for the moment. This is most likely going to be my last tattoo anyway. I've always wanted a tat like this one. Now I finally have my trademark name engraved on my arm as a symbol.
