Waynebrizzle Sometimes intensity 9 on Uprising is laughably hard. The powers have been helping a lot though. I have a tendency to forget I even have powers I can use. >_> But yeah, sometimes it's absurd. xd

What weapon do you use? I usually go with claws in multiplayer, but I find their shot range isn't enough for the stuff you do in single player (like that Phoenix, geez), so I've been using a blade.

I almost exclusively use palms. They just happen to fit the way I play really well, and I've got a Violet Palm with max ranged damage, no melee strength whatsoever, and a huge boost to movement speed. The only other weapon I really enjoy using as much is the Brawler Claws since they have an automatic boost to movement speed, and I've got a set with a +8 speed boost and moderate melee damage. Coupled with the Lightweight power, multiplayer matches just become me zipping back and forth and punching people in the face before they know what's hit them. Unfortunately for me, my defense is so low with them that one shot from most anything is enough to kill me. It's pretty fun. xd

I also like the freezing and petrification modifiers a lot. How do palms work exactly? Are they better for ranged or melee, or continuous fire or what? I've barely used them but I'm curious.

Palms tend to be ranged from my experience, they have better homing capabilities, baring from one palm, their shots decrease in power the further they travel

They're much better for up-close ranged damage. I tend to use continuous-fire dash attacks a lot with mine, but that's just me. Different palms work differently too, like how the Viridi Palm's charged attacks have insane knockback.

It's the same with most other weapons, each has their one unique thing about them, there are some general attributes to them though, some break the mold others do not

The weapon system in this game in general is insane. I feel like I'm playing an MMO sometimes when I fuse weapons.

As insane as it sounds it's still a good system, you don't know what stats will go over to the weapon when you fuse 2 of them

Oh no, it's a great system. It's just overwhelming at first. You do know what stats go over to the weapon though? Unless you're talking about something else.
