I have no comment on that post. I will say this though Vain. You are right. No genre has made any significant advancements in recent years and all video games make you repeat the same things over and over, regardless of the genre.

Read High School of the Dead if you get the chance. It's on manga fox and manga volume. It's ******** epic as hell. I cant wait for more releases on the anime.

Just finished the Scott Pilgrim vs The World game. Game gave me major River City Ransom flash backs, in the good way. Solid action, reference filled, and co-op fun. Only real problem with it is the lack on online co-op.

I've been alright. Just been working on a new deck, writing the script for my Scott Pilgrim retrospective, and playing ModNation Racers. Damn addictive game. It's like LittleBigPlanet fused with Mario Kart.

That made me laugh my a** off man. You should do an actual video of that.

In other news, I'm curious on your takes on this issue I've been discussing with others lately;

I added my input. And Yes, Love Hina is awesome, a shame it has been ripped off so many times.

It is your quintessential Harem genre anime. It's not that it's ripped off, it's that it's the main example of a genre. Like DB is for Shonen anime. All Shonen have basically the same formula. Go on an adventure, fight bad guy, fight harder bad guy, fight even harder bad guy. Some drag it out to milk the series. For instance One Piece. They just did what Dragon Ball did in a more time expedient manner. Find crew after so many episodes, start random a** adventures or whatever the ******** they do. DB took an entire series to build up to DBZ, in which they followed the shonen formula.

Harems are all the same in the same way. Guy falls in love with girl, all the other girls fall in love with the guy for some reason or another. It's the basic formula for it. Just like the countless number of Gundams. They all are the exact same save for one series. Colonies Fight Earth. Earth Wins. The end.

In the realm of ideas there really is no ripping off. One series that starts a genre is the pinnacle for the genre when more series follow in it's inevitable wake because that series inspired the more ideas in another writer to develop a similar yet different idea.

Also, more posting people.

True. This is why, as a fan of DB, I found myself quickly disliking DBZ. And at the same time, as a fan of One Piece, the story is fast approaching it's close. If you go by all of the hitory and information that is revealed about the OP world, there are only a few more big characters/opponents that are left to be introduced, and the straw Hats are fast closing in on Raftel, where the One Piece and the Rio Poneglyph are located. I hope that once the series ends, it will stay finished, and not move on to a sequel of redundance like DBZ was for DB.
As for Love Hina, it was one of the first big "harem" series'. Not that all the ones following are crappy or ripoffs, but nowadays, it seems to be a series style that is used more often, causing the style to become watered down and less interesting

of course it's used more often. It's a male/female fantasy to have a s**t ton of hot specimens of the other sex wanting you.
