WylrPnufh Hey LPS, remember that time you sent me a necklace? Me neither. Ohgawdlol, jk jk. I've been needing to watch my sense of humor lately, it's not funny. But really Interestingly enough, today I went through a series of boxes from my teenagerhood.
This was inside one of them. Perhaps there was a reason I was broke the days I remembered and loaded the days I forgot.

Panoramic group photos of about 668 people are awkward as hell. :l
They made us stand without moving from shoulder to shoulder and crotch to butt for about thirty minutes on wooden bleachers that were probably constructed by Mexican workers in exchange of a bag of fruit.
And I had to stand on the top. So while there wasn't a crotch near my butt, it instead felt like I was going to die. 8l

rolleyes :/ There's this kind of double-standard I don't like. The media is set up to tell women that they can't look good without applying generous amounts of makeup. But then, half of the ladies that try to adhere to this ideology are labeled as sluts for trying to improve their self-esteem in regards to their looks in the way that society tells them they should. Does that seem a**-backwards to anyone else, or is it just me? confused I mean, I understand that there can certainly be too much of a good thing, but even so...

Oh, no, I just think it's too much make-up, not that they're sluts. And more specifically, I was referring to "Paula." That's not a woman. It's a creature from beyond the abyss. It's also not "Paula" at all. That's a popular scene girl pic that I see on a lot of 13-year-old girls' (or 40 year old men's) profiles. Dunno the chick's name offhand, but there are probably ten thousand people on the internet claiming to be her.
Also @ the whole makeup thing: as a girl who doesn't wear makeup, the only thing I think about girls who wear makeup religiously is that it must suck not to be able to leave the house without feeling like a monster when in reality nobody is even going to notice. From my personal experience, most of the people who labeled women who put effort into making themselves more attractive as "sluts" or "skanks" were motivated by their own insecurities; jealousy for women, and fear of rejection for men.
Actually, I'd probably go one step further and say that most, if not all of the malicious things people say about others are motivated by the aggressor's own insecurity, which has interesting implications about homophobia.

Huh. I guess I don't bother with those kind of sites enough to know that. xd Yeah, that's basically how it works. There are always qualifiers and individual explanations and excuses, but when it comes down to it those two reasons are generally at the core. Actually, the more time I spend around people, the more I see that just about everything and anything negative about other people stems from insecurity in one way or another. Fr'instance, I've seen people fall out of friendships because one person can't stand to see other people match them in the things they take pride in (and thus deal with it by being really passive-aggressive and pretentious as ******** about it all), while the other person fears being judged poorly (and so the condescending attitude from the first person drives them up the wall because they know that their work is just as good). EDIT: Goddammit, you made my point before I could finish typing this. xd I can't say I've never thought about homophobia in this light before, though. It's kind of an interesting idea in itself, and there are studies that have explored the idea that have come up with strong evidence to support it.
