When they arrived home, the pizza did not appear to have made it there and then left. Dari helped Cody bring in their Asian groceries and went straight for the freezer to get the fish sandwiches firm again.
"Where are we setting up?"

Cody had already started placing goodies out on the coffee table. "Here," he said, and smiled. They'd watch a few movies, cuddle, eat--and when it got dark, head for the mountain.

Dari joined Cody and hugged him from behind. He kissed his cheek and then bonked his head.
"What are you going to try first?"

Cody smiled and turned to kiss Dari in return. "This," he said, picking up a red bean roll. "I've only had this stuff in dumplings, this should be better. What do you want to try? The mochi?"

"I've had it before," Dari said. He looked over their booty and picked up a dorayaki. "I'll try this." Pancakes and red bean, where could you go wrong? He unwrapped it and took a bite, then smiled.
"It must be better fresh too."

"Probably. We could go to Japan one day," he smiled. "We'd be able to try everything." They had all the time in the world now. Together. Cody unwrapped his and took a bite. "This is good!" He said, swallowing and taking another.

"Toby hates unstrained red bean paste," Dari said, leaning forward on his knees. "He hated the strained stuff too. But he can eat raw fish no problem." He took another bite of pancake.

"I like sushi," Cody said, and grinned. "Toby's picky, he grew up with parents who cooked. Mine too." He finished off his roll and took a bag of gummy candy. He opened it. "Right now, I feel like I could eat a whole elephant."

"Your body has a really fast metabolism now, and you haven't eaten in your first few days of it. It'll go away." He popped open a Japanese marble soda and started to drink it. "Oh, and you're going to gain some muscle whether you want to or not. Toby really doesn't ever go to the gym..."

"Hope so," Cody muttered. He couldn't imagine doing much but eating, at least today. "Muscle?" He smirked. "Well, if you're alright with it," He kissed Dari's cheek. "I don't mind."
