Taking the paste in two fingers the older women started to spead the gunk into her infected eye socket. Kira screamed out in pain and tried to struggle away. the herb paste was very painful and it felt like her eye was being ripped out agian.Taking a handful of salt she packet in into the socket which make kira scream louder and struggle tears rolling down her good eye. Soon kira went limp as she passed out from the pain which made it easier for the older women to wrap the socket in fresh bandages.

Bakura had to struggle to hold Kira still, and cringed as she screamed. He waited a moment or two after the woman had finished before letting go, and Ryou quickly was at her side, nearly knocking Bakura out of the way. If Bakura didn't feel bad for the two, knowing that he and Rei had been through a few things like this, he would have shown the boy a thing or two. Speaking of Rei... He quickly left Kira and went over to his own fiancee. The spirit had completely blocked him out during the trip to the Shadow Realm, and he didn't have any idea what was wrong with her.

Rei who was in a fitful sleep was a pale as a ghost tossing back and forth. tears were running down her cheaks from her horrid nightmares.

Bakura wiped away her tears, wondering if he should try to wake her. She usually did when he was dreaming of Kul Elna, and he wondered if it was best that she did. He didn't like to see her in such distress, though, and grabbed her shoulders, shaking her. "Rei... you have to wake up."

Rei let out a frighten cry as she was woke up.Her eyes were large but her pupils were small "no...no...my fault..my fault..no..." She muttered shaking violently.

Bakura knew that look far too well, even though he was usually the one with it. "No, no, nothing's your fault." He said in a low voice, leaning his back against the wall and scooping Rei up, holding her against him.
There was a loud shout outside. "We are searching for the pharaoh!" The head guard of the group who had come to this village called out. "We will need to search every house! Anybody who resists will be killed instantly."

Rei was still shaking "my fault...all my fault..." She said staring at her hands.In her mind she could still see the blood that haunted her. "Mkhait...Mkhait ..no Mkhait ..." the rest of what she sputtered out seemed to be all nonsence.
The women dident seem to mind the search. Not being able to see anything that well she dident know the thief kind was in her house. the old womens eyes were milky. Allknew this ment the old women was going blind. In egypt they still respected there old. The women came out of her hut when they came to serch her hut and smiled kindly "please try and be quiet my good man I have a sick young lady trying to rest..."

"Oh, ******** ******** ********..." Bakura heard Rei mumbling something, but was paying more attention to the guards shouting outside. Ryou had turned around, looking wide-eyed, knowing that Bakura would get caught. "Give me Rei." Ryou said, moving over to Bakura. He knew he'd probably have to help to repay him, since Bakura had helped with Kira. Bakura narrowed his eyes, and Ryou became a little more urgent. "Hurry! I'll watch over her and you summon the Shadow Realm... You can do that, right?" Bakura probably would want to stay with Rei, but she was already too weak. Grudgingly, Bakura passed Rei over to Ryou, and the Millennium Ring glowed faintly as he went to the Shadow Realm in the corner of the hut. Only people who were usually connected to the Millennium Items could see it, and even if some of the guards could see it, it might just look like a shadow in the corner of the hut.

Rei continued to shake and mutter nonsence. The shadow relm illusion had done damage in her sanity. "no...no..." To the guards rei would most likly just looked like some insane women. Which was ok cause they thought the insane were touched by the gods.

Two guards entered, just moments after Bakura was hidden. They glanced around first to see if the pharaoh was in, then quickly noticed Ryou. They tensed slightly, glancing at one another. The boy was speaking softly to Rei, trying to calm her slightly. "The thief?" One asked the other, as though Ryou wasn't sitting right there.
"Don't think so. Too pale, no scar, too small." The other said, studying Ryou.
"Maybe we should go ahead and--"
"No, too much extra work. We're only supposed to look for the pharaoh. He's not here." They started to leave, neither noticing the shadow.

Ryou continued to try, and looked up when time had passed and noticed Bakura had return. "You need to leave." He said in a calm voice. Bakura started to look angry, and Ryou shook his head. "I'm not ordering you, just giving you a suggestion. You're putting Kira and I in danger just by being here, and while you may not care, you might have also not noticed that you are also putting Rei in danger. If the pharaoh is missing they're going to blame you, probably. So soon there's going to be a deeper search for you if they can't find Atem." His yami had been filling him in a little as he waited in the Shadow Realm, and Ryou had to explain this to Bakura. "You're only putting her life in danger as well as your own. I can watch over her as you go somewhere until they find Atem and leave you alone. It'll happen; there's no doubt of that. Just leave."

The older women had soon got rei to stop trembling. no rei was only muttering softly to herself staring down at her hands.After a while rei looked up to bakura just staring at him.

Bakura had a pained look on his face as he struggled emotionally to try and decide what to do. He leaned forward, kissing Rei on the forehead. "Goodbye." He said, quickly standing up before he could change his mind, pulling his hood up to shade his face.

Once her said goodbye rei's eyes widened and she reached out twards him "No dont leave!Please dont leave!Im sorry...please dont leave!" she said tears running down his cheaks as she stuggled to grasp bakura "dont leave me!"
