Hawaii was also in the country, though? Not the contiguous states, granted. If that counted, that was good enough for him!
"Sure, we can do that. Why didn't you tell me?" He turned and smiled to Cody and then shrugged. "I don't know. To anywhere. Somewhere out of the country."

"I wanted to surprise you. I didn't know if you'd been there, but I don't think you have since we met." Since you changed would've gotten strange looks. "Ready to head home?" He asked. "Let's go pick some of those icecream things."

"That might be hard to surprise someone with," Dari said with a laugh. He walked with Cody to the cooler to find the ice cream sandwiches. "No, I haven't been to a lot of places since we've met. We deal with the States mostly, but Toby's top-ranked so we do get sent elsewhere."

"Surprise!" Cody grinned. "Pick the ones you want," he added, looking at the icecream sandwiches. "Like Ireland?" He asked, and smiled. "I'd like to see that someday."

Dari chuckled and shook his head.
"Well Luca and Lori are getting married in Ireland, so we'll be going there anyway. If I remember right, we're staying outside of town, but that doesn't mean we can't spend a few extra days."

"Are they?" Luca hadn't mentioned that. He'd bet it'd be beautiful. He selected four of the fish shaped wafer icecream sandwiches and stuck them in the cart. "Let's go home and order pizza," he said.

"Mm-hm! They're both from around there, just haven't lived there in a while. I'm not sure how Lori's parents reacted to the whole thing, but he said the rest of his family was fine with it." He headed to the checkout and once more chatted with the cashiers in their native language. When they were finished, he carried the bags on his arms to the car, put them in the back, and hopped in.
"What do you want on your pizza? If we order it now, it'll get there right after we do."

"Yours are fine now!" Dari insisted. He put in his Bluetooth and began to put in the call. 'So much for 'no craving for meat' huh?!" He was only teasing, of course. What else were you going to get on pizza?

"Only because we nearly died," Cody pointed out. "I'm glad they love you now," he added. He paused, and grinned at Dari. "Well, if you want one of those horrid vegetarian pizzas..." he teased.

"Hey, whatever it takes." Dari nodded and smiled. "There is nothing wrong with vegetables!" That being said, someone picked up and he gave in their order. He hadn't consulted Cody on size, but he felt like 3 larges would be terribly wasted. When it was over, he resumed driving normally.
"They said 45 minutes, so we'll beat them there."

"There isn't," Cody agreed, "They just don't belong on pizza." He made a face. He let Dari do the ordering, nodding when the call ended. "Sounds good," he said. "Movies, sweets and pizza," he considered. "It's almost like a party."

Cody smiled. "A party just for us. That's my favorite kind." And they'd be going up to their spot to test new...biology things. "We could spend the night up there," he said, thoughtfully.
