No, it's not that I don't like the idea. It's just that Kits is a lot better at it than me. She's the one who does most of the paperwork for my catering business. She'd probably explain it better, too.
*laughs and gently stretches out Thistle's wing to look at it* Amy, I think she likes me! whee

Amy nodded to Dougherty and started brewing a fresh pot of coffee. "You've got it, Dougherty. I'll brew a fresh pot and then pour some into a large to go cup for you."
She stayed behind the bar while she waited for Killa to decide. She looked at Karrie and shrugged. She hoped it appeared that she wasn't disappointed. "Well, I'll just meet with her instead, then. I don't think she'll mind..."
She quickly turned to look at Mitri, giving her a reason to look away from Karrie, and couldn't help but laugh softly. "You know Mitri, I think she does. I haven't seen her take to anyone that fast since Smok. It's a good thing you'll be here for awhile. She'll want to see you a lot."
Thistle reached her nose up toward the hand that was holding out her wing. She tapped the forearm gently and squeaked in amusement.

Umm... sweatdrop *takes a drink and waits until she's done talking to Mitri before answering* Well, maybe Kits could join us in there... I could use her help too, and it would be nice to have somebody in the office with me while I'm working.
Oh, sorry, Thistle. *lets go of her wing* She likes Smok too? He's really funny! *laughs* He's always misjudging his landings. *plays with Thistle's mane* I'm glad she likes me. I like her too.

Amy laughed and nodded. "Yes, he is! He's such a cutie. I actually held him one time. I kinda tricked him with chicken and he wasn't paying attention to me getting closer to him. I finally wrapped my arms around him, and after a few minutes, he finally calmed down enough and let me hold him. He's a sweetie. Thistle and he are great for each other, especially since they're both babies."
She smiled down at Thistle and watched how she interacted with Mitri. She always enjoyed seeing Thistle make new friends. It was such an improvement from how she had been when Velcore had first brought her. "That's good that you do. She'll probably be wanting to see you a lot. If you have some free time, you might want to stop by here in the evenings to see her. It would make her really happy."
She heard Karrie speak up and she turned her head toward him to look at him while he explained his thinking. A small smile appeared on her face again and she slowly nodded. "Well, okay. If that's what you want, I guess we could do that. But I don't want to be intruding on your solitude."
She smiled at Killa and began making his drink. "Sure think, Killa."
Thistle shook out both of her wings and then lightly headbutted Mitri's chest. The headbutt turned into a nuzzle.

*nods* I will. Uncle Karrie said I might not want to stay where he works while he's working for him very much. I don't know why... it seems like a really nice place. *laughs and wraps his arms around Thistle, gently scratching the roots of her mane*
No, you don't have to worry about that. I don't like being in there by myself very much. That's part of the reason I get so behind.
*looks around* Something's squeaking, and it's not Thistle.

Amy nodded, agreeing with Karrie's assessment. "I think he makes a good point. This is probably a better place to hang out in. Well, at night anyway. During the day, you could always stop by Aqua Springs. That's where Thistle and I will be. I don't think many people are here during the day."
Amy finished Killa's spicier cold coffee and handed it to him with a smile. "Here you go, Killa!"
She put a tiny black straw in it as well as a larger green straw.
She had heard what Karrie said and she already could see the source of the squeaking. She leaned closer and smiled at Killa's grunny.
"It's Killa's grunny squeaking. I didn't know you had one, too, Killa. It's cute."
Thistle squeaked happily and then made a half purring/half neighing sound as Mitri wrapped his arms around her. She was quite happy! Her tail was flicking happily and she was rubbing the top of her head along Mitri's chest. Her purple hair was actually becoming a little static-y.

The pot of coffee finally finished and Amy got a large to-go cup from below the counter, grabbed the pot of coffee, and filled up the cup. Then she put the pot of coffee back on the warmer, put a white lid on top of the coffee cup, and put it on the counter.
"Your coffee's ready, Dougherty. Do you want some sugar and cream packets?"

I think Uncle Karrie and I are going to be pretty busy most days. I'm here to help him set up his forge. *looks at Thistle's hair and laughs* Your hair's sticking up!

Amy nodded and got a shot glass. She figured it was so that Killa could pour some of the coffee into the glass for his grunny.
She set the shot glass in front of him on the counter. Then, she looked over at Mitri and Thistle and laughed as she saw Thistle's hair standing up. "Oh wow... Guess I'll have to spend extra time brushing her mane tonight."
Thistle looked up at Amy and her eyes lit up and she flapped her wings in excitement. She loved it when Amy brushed her hair! It was very relaxing.
She looked back at Mitri and then gently put her two front hooves on his chest so that she could inspect his face more closely. She squeaked and then began sniffing around his face curiously.

*Picks up the coffee to go cup and tries to take a very cautious sip* Hot! ... No thanks, don't need any cream or sugar. Straight up is fine with me. On occasion, I will ask for a shot of whiskey in my coffee, but not while I'm on duty. 3nodding
*Sets the cup down and looks at his watch* Well folks, it's time for me to head on out. Goodnight everyone! And thanks for the coffee, Amy! *Stands up and picks up his coffee, then turns and exits GGB* cool
