Triton nodded, he didn't mind having to stay behind, he wouldn't know what to do anyhow. Not to mention he felt it awkard being in a place and not knowing the language.
It meant a bit more rest and a bit thinking and preparing.

"Fine," Mia replied, though she didn't sound any put off.
After all she could see the logic in what Donovan was stating and Donovan was a man who knew his work, she would at least give him that. As long as he did not leave her out when the time came she would be pleased enough.

Gion checked to make sure that Daemon was safely strapped to his back, then checked his canteen and his bag. When he was certain that he had everything they would need, he turned to Nadya and Donovan.
I think it might be a good idea if they don't know I can understand them, he signed seriously to them. They may reveal more that way.
He paused and, as if he had just remembered something, dug around in his bag until he found a small dagger. He held it out to Nadya.
Hide it on yourself somewhere, he signed. In case anything happens.
He hoped nothing would, and that Nadya would have no need to use the dagger - but it was better to be prepared than not.

Nadya nodded and took the dagger without a word, and slipped it into the belt of her dress. Dress. Why in the world had she chosen to wear a dress, of all things? Maybe because she'd never worn pants in her life, but still.
"I agree with Gion," she nodded, turning to Donovan. "I can speak to them using thought transference, and I'm sure there will be someone there who speaks our tongue and can translate or something."
She pulled her cowl over her face, effectively disappearing into her cloak, and murmured, "Are we all ready to go then?"

Donning his usual black trench coat Donovan nodded making sure he had all things on his person.
"Ready," he replied back, giving a nod to the others that would be left behind.
They might as well get it done and over with.

Gion nodded and started leading the way out of the makeshift cave in the direction of the dwarfish village.
It shouldn't be too far, he signed back to Donovan and Nadya. It shouldn't take us very long to get there.

"Be careful," Triton told the three.
Well, he knew that Gion and Donovan knew what they were doing, but he was slightly worried about Nadya, this was taking a lot more out of her than he realized it would. Then again, Triton had never known to travel with someone who wasn't use to travelling.

Donovan nodded at Triton's last words before he followed Gion out, watching Gion's hands carefully.
He nodded at that, "That's good to know."

Nadya smiled gratefully at Triton and murmured, "Thank you."
Then she steeled herself for whatever it was that lay ahead - sadly, she didn't know what that might be. Since coming north, her sight had been sporadic and weak.

Meanwhile back at the castle, Elrohir was just waking up from his sleep, which had begun befor enoon on the previous day. He was already clean from his bath just before his sleep, too, but he was still feeling rather sticky, so he bathed again. He brushed his hair with his fingers and pushed it out of his face, then dressed in his usual comfortable black pants, and nothing else.
He rarely wore more than that.
Then, knowing it was still a bit early for breakfast, he headed out of his room to see who else might be awake.

It was still early for breakfast, but not early enough for Lin not to be up and running about in the halls. Well to be accurate she wasn't doing the running, Nina was doing the running as she road Nina like the semi horse the creature was.
She had Nikky tied to her shoulders like a cloak as she gripped on the Kirin's fur holding on for dear life (though she was enjoying every minute of it), as Nina barreled down the hallway at what seemed like a breakneck speed.

As Elrohir descended the tower stairs, he heard a noise coming from the third floor that sounded like ... a horse? Indoors? He blinked. It couldn't be ...
He decided to check it out, and left the stairs at the third storey. The sound was growing steadily louder, and it was echoing loudly off the marble walls.

"And around the corner we go!" Nina shouted as she rounded one end.
Lin leaned close to Nina's body letting her white ghosty cape bellowing in the wind they were creating.
"Don't run into anything!"

Elrohir moved to the side just in time to miss running into a giant orange blur with a little dark blur on its back. Once his heart rate had returned to normal, he stared after them, wondering if he could believe his eyes. Perhaps the desert sun had had more of an effect on him than he realized, because he could swear he was watching the kirin again ... Nina ... and the smallest kid he had ever seen.

"NINA!" Lin shouted from down the hallway as she noticed they passed someone who was not one of the guards.
Afterall the guards all looked the same (more or less) but this person was different, and she wanted to know who it was. Of course Nina was skidding across the floor trying to go back the other way.
The Kirin noticed for the first time, Elrohir and the creature just nearly grinned with glee.
"Elrohir!"
No... he was not halluciating.
