Ghost chuckled slightly. "My girl, you were never misbehaving, just expressing your thoughts. That's nothing to be ashamed about." He said nuzzling her back.

Prince stood still, leaning against his mother, enjoying the grooming.

Ghost heard the massive expolsion and started. He looked back at where the plane had been, seeing smoke billowing upward. Knowing that Diamond and her foals had run off that way, he became worried. "Stay here, don't follow me, I'll be right back!" He said as he backed up and pivoted into the air. He flew swiftly and soon caught sight of Diamond near the mountain path and, folding his wings to his side, dove downwards, landing beside her. "What happened??" He asked.

*The loud explosion had woken Dreamcloud up and stopped Moddy and the man dead in their tracks. The golden mare looked up at the mountain, quickly spotting the flaming inferno atop the mountain. She then looked about for Kaio who was laying awake next to her, looking hardly startled at the noise. As the colt looked back at his dam, seeing she was awake, he turned around, crawling a bit, and didn't even wait for her to stand before he started nursing again. The young colt burned fat quicker than he could build it up. He was a thin little thing, and very strong and healthy. He had an edge on any other foals his age, although he was aware of nothing but his sire and his dam and the warm world around them. a few days into life he had formed spots across his belly and nose.*

*His wings were beautiful and stretching out, growing and sprouting feathers, gaining stregnth as were his legs and muscles. His whinny was strong and well spoken, his hooves hard and he was well before his time to be so well developed. His lungs were large and strong and his chest protruded as well as his stomach. His nostrils were large and he was well adapted for strong breaths needed for long, fast flight. His eyes were large and bright, pale in color which caused a downfall in his ability to adjust to light changes as well as see in the sun. Like a bolt of lightning he darted about the place, burning up more energy and nursing often. The colt grew fast, his securities with it, becomming braver each week, more independant.*

*Dreamcloud stood, pulling away from him and he stood with her, not letting the teat away from him long. As Dream watched him she was thankful he was not a twin, he would have fought miserably with his twin over everything all throughought life. As she paid attention again to the mountainside, she could not help but want to fly over and see what was going on, watching a young Storm fly towards it.*

Kipcha tugged gently on her son's mane. She knew him well enough that she could guess at what he was saying. "Don't worry now they'll be plenty more. You'll have your chance."

Lithea watched her father then moved over to Prince's side. She didn't want to be alone at the moment, she wanted to have some warm fimilar side against hers. "Is Father going to be ok?"

Ghost nodded. "I promise." He said, then folded his wings to his side and fell into a steep dive towards the flaming plane. He landed right next to it, the heat and flame singing the ends of his mane and forelock. "JEWEL!!" He called out, looking for her.

Ghost snorted and lept back into the air, keeping as low to the ground as the heat of the flames would allow. Jewel's cry reached his ears and they swiveled towards the source of her voice. He snorted and dove into the fire, landing next to her. "Jewel, get on my back." He said, falling to his knees to allow her to jump on.

Prince sighed and slumped a bit. "Ok..." He replied to his mother. He nuzzled Lithea's shoulder, sharing her concern. "Of course he will! Father will be fine!" He said as confidently as he could, as he tried to reassure both his sister and himself.

Ghost snorted and nudged her. "Oh dear..." He said to himself, then got back to his feet and thrust his neck under her body, forcing it upward. He shook his neck until she had fallen to his shoulders, then he shifted his wings to put her into a position so she wouldn't fall while he flew. He lept into the air when she was secure enough, flying free of the smok and flame. He coughed as he flew, the smoke was beginning to choke him out. He flew back to Diamond and Storm and hovered above them. "She's unconsious, but she should be fine. I'm taking her back to the herd." He said, snorting harshly trying to breathe better, then flew on. He touched down back at the herd and fell to his knees, sliding Jewel of his back, then fell over into his side, his eyes closed, to try and regulate his breathing.

Prince galloped over to his sire, leaving Lithea and hs mother. "Father, are you okay?" He asked, sniffing his face. He smelled like smoke and fire and his mane and forelock were singed at the ends. His coat was covered in ash, making him look more like a dappled grey. He pushed at his father's face with his muzzle.

*The man, seeing the commotion seem to die down, along with the fire caused by his plane. He pulled the radio out of his bag once again, walking slowly across the plains while talking into it.*

Crawford one, this is Jay...Can you hear me, Crawford one?

*Static filled the man's ears, he slowly turned a dial on the box, hoping for a signal, nothing but static and silence came in from any channel.*

How could this be?

*He mumbled quietly to his self, trying to figure out why no signal at all came in.*

To have no signals at all..Not even weak ones...I must be thousands of miles from any civilization anywhere..Dear God.

*With this realization, he suddenly looked about the island as if he had crash landed on an alien planet and everything was backwards. As he placed the radio back into his bag, a small sound came from it. He yanked it back out, stopping and talking desperately into it.*

Crawford one! Crawford one! Come in, this is Jay!!

*A long pause followed, and his shoulders dropped and he sighed a sigh of dissapointment as he looked into the sky, searching, perhaps, for a plane or helicopter. Again the noise from the radio came, a man's voice comming and going with pauses of static inbetween.*

Jay Sidn---Ay S---Anyone there? Jay Sidne--

*The man spoke wildly into the radio, stating locations and numbers, the sun's position in the sky, the water color and the current's position through the water. He described the island, he seemed to be speaking a mile a minute but clearly and slowly enough to get around the pasuses, breaks and static.*

And Crawford...Theres horses here..But these arent just any horses, Crawford I think you aught to bring your men down here and take a look at these things....Your not going to belive this but..They have horns and wings like that of what our children talk about and read in fables..Unicorns and Pegasus....

*The voice on the other end of the radio was silent for some time, before statig the time and that he was sending troops in to take a look. Sarah overhead this and a look of horror overcame.*
