Jane entered the clearing to find Nebride and Gwendar waiting. "Nebride--what is it? What's wrong?"
"We need to train Gwendar in our ways of magic. We have a problem that needs to be taken care of." Nebride answered slowly.
Jane looked from Nebride to Gwendar. "What needs to be taken care of?"
"You felt the presence from the forest? We have encountered this evil before, but he has gotten stronger. Gwendar was given powers, but he doesn't have the proper training to use them."

he cleaned up easily enough and he nodded smiling when she thanked him.
"so Where do you want to train" he asked

i walked outside and leaned against the tree, waiting for him to come out

Jane sighed, "We will need to do this ourselves, I think. Nobody has liked to help us elves." She turned to Nebride. "What do we teach him first?"
Nebride turned Gwendar to face her. "You need to find your helpers. You remember my fire dragon? When you earn your rights to the elf magics, you earn creatures to help you. They are not necessarily fire--there are many. I have several of each element."

he didnt like the idea of magical creatures.....it seemed all to much like witch craft to him.....what would be the difference of him summoning a dragon to help him and the evil wizard creating those things.
but he knew he had to anyway.
"ok.....where do i find these creatures?"
Togan:
he followed her outside.
"Ok when do we start?" he asked.

the second he was outside, i grabbed him from behind and put him in a full nelson. i waited to see how he responded. with luck, he would be able to get out of it

he was surprised when she grabbed him.
he squirmed a bit but decided it would be better to relax and think.
soon he decided it would be best to try and try to slip out of it.
with a bit of struggling he managed to get out.

Nebride smiled at him. "You find them in here." She placed her hand over his heart. "You have to look inside yourself. Your helpers don't necessarily have to be dragons--they can be other creatures--even people. Just look for something you hold dear." She took a step back.
Jane stepped forward. "Close your eyes---think of happy days. Days that didn't make you sad, days that you wished you could live over and over again. From these memories you can build and nurture your power. It is happiness that drives us."
Nebride watched, her arms crossed over her chest. This was Jane's best area. It was best to let her do this alone. There were other things she could teach Gwendar that Jane couldn't.

he tried thinking of 'happy times' but he had very few.
he decided his time with Nebride were the best memories.
"im thinking of happy thoughts now what do i need to do?" he asked.

i smiled. "good job" but that was simple when he stepped away from me i slipped under him and came up in front. pretty soon i had him pinned against the wall

before he even knew what was happening he was pinned up against a tree.
he hit the tree quite hard but he was to bus trying to think how to get out of it.
he decided that he should start playing to his strengths.
he was taller then Gren may be if he tried jumping a bit her grip would loosen.
he jumped and as he expected her grip loosened just enough for him to pull one hand away and slip out of her hold.

it was very hard.
he tried concentrating his thoughts but accomplished very little.
"im not sure this is working Jane" he said to her.
he had to do it....if he didnt he wouldnt be strong enough to protect Nebride.
he closed his eyes and concentrated long and hard.
but ounce again nothing happened.

he was getting better. but not to the point i was hoping for. i grabbed his wrist and pinned him back against the tree. "try harder"
