The Admiral went so far as to chuckle at Mastema's little jest before the stern mask returned. "As a matter a fact they do. You see my designation number is T-3294 Personal Combat Analogue, the T-2's are simply the cost effective 'basic' designs of my previous chassis. 'T' in Tegral, you understand." Pretty basic stuff if one thought deep enough to explain it. The rest of Tegral's units could be dismantled in similar fashions, K-72s, Z-34's, and B.G 41's, all simply the first letter of the first name followed by the first letter of the middle name then the model's designation number. Simple.
"My ability to use arcane magics isn't well known, but still very much there, Mastema. Joint research with KB provided the perfection of the Arcane Generator, a machine that literally harnesses the magical energy throughout the cosmos, or what have you." Tegral...giving away vital information?! Something was definitely amiss. The use, hell the very knowledge, of the Arcane Generator was something of classified information and here the Admiral had very clearly tilted his hand. "The reason for the desire to actually learn to harness it is fairly obvious. Once my weapons are dismantled and I'm stuck in flesh and blood again what do you think is going to happen? The next hyped up monster, or even you yourself, may come looking for a fight and me without my weapons is going to make a very short fight."
There, let that sink in a moment while Tegral relayed a couple of messages to Kah and Rookin. A quick response confirmed everything Tegral had wanted to know. The Leviathan was entering the second stage of refitting, and would be preparing to make the jump into this galaxy soon. Thankfully the facial system of this unit were completely controllable, so the beaming smile of a child who had just been told he could have his favorite toy back was no where in evident.
"Come on now, Mastema, you should be smarter than this. Who is the one person in this whole, god damned, place that hasn't tried to kill me that has demonstrated a significant understanding of magic?" Gesturing over towards Nana with an out stretched hand the Admiral stated very calmly, "Even you could understand that. After all I'm guessing you'd rather go ask Griffin, with his minuscule knowledge than ask for my help in building an army of technological machines.

At least the letter piece of Tegral's army nomenclature was explained, although Mastema still felt the series of numbering was arbitrary and simply unnecessary. At least the RCG-01L, RCG-02J, RCG-03A, and RCG-04S were named more concretely in his opinion. But those little details were unimportant. Mastema was more entertained by the idea of an arcane generator. Then again, when technology hadn't won in the way Tegral hoped, perhaps it was only natural that he'd turn to more obscure methods of destruction. "So you've managed to create for yourself an archane generator harnessing cosmological energy, and you want my wife to teach you to hurl sharp rocks. This is a good story, if nothing else." Mastema did believe Tegral wanted to learn magic. He didn't believe Tegral really understood the concept of self defense. Mastema couldn't intercept or interpret the messages being sent between Teg and his subordinates, but he was aware enough to know the other two likely hadn't returned to pick Teg up from school, so to speak. "I could ask the young prince for help, but even assuming I wasn't turned down immediately because of personal issues, I have little confidence in his ability to make anything that could compare with your technology." Mastema wasn't ignorant of Tegral's short lived slaughter of Griffin's defenses. "Very well then, Admiral, we'll assume for the moment you'll have a way to convince me and my wife that you're trustworthy. However, I'm not about to believe you expect me to let you step in on any of my resources, my technology or my wife's knowledge, without some sort of return. In all your reconaissance, you don't think that I'm a charity, do you?"
'better than I thought it would be.' Twi let that play in his head a little. It wasn't quite the response he expected from a woman married in the way Nana was. The desire to be more helpful wasn't as surprising, since Nana seemed to make a niche for herself trying to find something to do at the abandoned church. "Well you want my point, if you've got kids, and you're still looking for something to do, then you aren't looking in the right place." He chuckled reassuringly. "Maintenance on a robotic friend, huh?" Twi looked up, watching Val move back and forth with his boxes of stuff. "Yeah... I know the feeling..."
Than.... well Than just wanted rather boredly to oblige Kah's earlier wish to a fight.

sweatdrop Ah-- I... suppose you're right.
*Nana's gaze would change towards the floor, as always a light blush crossed her face. Thinking about the children, the thought occured to her to bring something back for them. The outside world wasn't one they got to experience often, so a momento from the trip was a must. The question then became, what to get and for whom? Perhaps a small treat from one of the food tables, a possibility at least. Nana would return her attention to Twilight as he continued talking, she'd smile a bit before saying anything else*
O-oh? You do? Hnn.

"You?" Tegral said, completely honest, "Not in the least bit. Your wife, on the other hand, is quite another case. She just got done telling the idiot over there she's got nothing to do," Countless beings in the Black Company had super sensitive hearing that was just magically able to withstand the massive explosions of sound that would have shattered normal ear drums without even mild discomfort, "Not only that she, earlier, just told young Bell how she enjoys teaching and gardening." Because of his inability to hear super sonic farts from ticks Tegral had to amp up his game. Audio systems had been around for so many years now that deaf people could hear the drop of a pin with certain cybernetic replacements, that being the case the ability to single out a certain harmonic frequency - say that of a specific person's voice - capture it with a receptor, save, store, and later examine said audio file was nothing short of child's play. "If your wife has any demands in repayment for her services then fine, I'll hammer those out with her if and when the time comes. Short of giving simple concession that allows her to interact with anyone either not related to her or not directly pledged to the Citadel you have very little to offer in the matter." It was true, after all Tegral wasn't asking for any technological secrets from Mastema, wasn't asking in a joint alliance to take down KB, hell he wasn't even asking to borrow a cup of sugar. He simply needed the over protective husband to let his wife's hand go every once in a while, that was all. Giving Mastema free reign to choose his wife's body guard from any of his 'generals' was generous enough, since likely all of them were built to kill people just like the Admiral, but he was even going so far as to limit himself! No weapons, in fact he'd be using a biological chassis, incapable of hardware linkage, and no army! A single body guard, and the Admiral was even willing to go so far as to limit himself on that extent as well, no Rookin or Kah. He'd use basic foot soldiers as his guards.
"As for the whole trusting me issue? I don't really have a good reason." Well if anything he was truthful. He could tell Mastema the truth, his ultimate desire to 'repent' his violent life and go shelter away in some quiet corner to grow vegetables and live out a quiet life, but chances are the Lord of the Citadel would laugh in his face. Could tell him that he needed the information to destroy KB, which was a bold face lie...sorta. He could use arcane magics, and even divine magics if Nana could teach it, to destroy KB's shells and on some level damage his higher level of thought, but it'd never destroy him. The means to that destruction were all ready built, it's construction began once the Admiral and the monster teamed up. The hope was it would have been done before the betrayal occurred, a means for the Admiral to keep the monster in line while other goals were accomplished before he inevitably turned on KB at the end, but alas KB was too blood lusted and jumped the gun. No matter, the weapon was complete and the refitting of the Leviathan underway! "With no base of power to establish myself out of I'm still dangerous, but not in the long term. Your barrier, even if the old one did dissipate as you said, could likely hold against a prolonged siege while me and my forces wilted away under the combined attacks of you, KB, and random bastards throughout the Black Company. So you've no real reason to be afraid of me or my army, not only that I think I've proven that I can be a civil individual with no malice intentions towards you or your family. After all with no leader at the Citadel there's very little stopping my army from rolling over and decimating it, even with your defenses. Your wife stands in the open, as do you, and I have not only my two ranking officers present but the latest of my combat analogues, several quick jumping interceptors, and at the very least a quarter of my standing T-2 units positioned within minutes of this very area." That was the good ol' Admiral everyone knew! Paranoid to a fault with a massive army at his back. "Oh, and with previously mentioned Arcane Generator I can produce a sort of 'null zone' where magical abilities are out right diminished." Again with the tipping of the hand! "So teleportation out is erased, I could easily have you, your wife, Twlight, and all his little idiot friends assassinated, but I'm done fighting. I'm ready for that grace period after a life of activity where you just relax."

"Again, Admiral, you seem to either ignore or forget how much of a pain in your rear I can be if I wished to." Mastema's stance became much more stern for the moment. Tegral needed public speaking lessons from Nana more than magic lessons, and that was saying quite a bit by some standards. For the moment, he decides to ignore the fact his super-sonic receptors lacked context filters. "As they say, you have a ways to go before you can even think of getting into direct contact with her after this gathering. You'll have to worry about getting my approval before you get Nana's. My wife has her own concerns and I have mine. I don't expect something like you to have any experience or notion of what I'm talking about, but the consequences will be good enough." Mastema had more barriers than just the ones around the citadel, and Tegral wasn't likely to have a terribly easy time coming up with something to get past them. "The citadel and everyone in it is first and foremost my responsibility
"You don't have a good reason, hmm? Well it's going to take more than saying I have no reason to fear you because I should have every reason to fear you." Again, those negotiation skills were really something Teg needed more than alternative combat techniques. "If you're so confident in your arcane generator then use it. I can only promise you haven't the experience necessary to make such a thing work. You needn't tell me about your other shadow guards; I've taken them to be inseparable from you already. Proclaim as much about your capability for death as you wish; it's the main thing keeping you from that life of relaxation you propose. I'd much rather just put matters to rest than talk about what ifs." It didn't matter if it was an attack on the temple or on the citadel, which was in care of someone Teg had a lot less chance of getting past than Mastema at the moment. Teg was right about one thing, Mastema had little reason to worry. "Now then, back to the point you were trying to make, what might you be capable of doing that would alleviate a little of my distaste for you?"
Twi could tell things were going down between Mastema and the admiral, but decided not to get involved and make things worse. "Well some people may as well be robots anyway......" The one thing about Twi's job that wasnt' as good as his job as the BC lead: there wasn't enough character most of the time. "But hey, they're only kids once, y'know. Don't let it all go to waste. Maybe your kids will actually have a chance at making this little pit of a region a decent place to exist, barring a few of our last generation can smooth things over a little.... can't let all the big brutes go on forever."
"I've got an idea," Thanatos's voice would follow Mastema's last comment by a few seconds, coming from behind Tegral. Naturally, bored out of his skull, the boy had little more to do than eaves drop on the mismatched admiral. "One good deed...... do just one good deed for everyone to see. I'm interested in knowing if under that hardware which has failed you time and time again if you're even capable of conceiving a good deed, much less carrying one out. I think it should be a good enough deed for someone like you." Than grinned smugly. Than wasn't anymore trusting of the admiral than his father, but Than was much more willing to put up a more annoying and pugnacious appearance. His entire point in really being here tonight was to present a false image of himself afterall. Nevertheless, Than wanted to see if Tegral might actually take the easy exit offered by Thanatos.

*Nana would huff lightly, looking over at Mastema, Tegral and now Thanatos. Given how quickly the men had started their conversation and let it spiral into a ' I can if I want to, and no you can't 'type talk, it was hard to imagine peace so easily. So needless to say, Nana's reply to Twilight was somewhat-- pessamistic?*
If, things get smoothed over.
*The next best idea would be to expand the Citadel, so the children could experience more of the world in safety. That would bring about fears of invasion or something like that to anyone left, so not a neighbourly thing to do; that was an idea immediately scratched out. If peace really could be reached with everyone, it would be a delight, but it would be a hard thing to do. Everyone hated everyone else, or feared them, or could care less and be apethetic to everyone. Negotiating a real peace would take time, effort, and above all trust. The latter was very lacking in most everyone in the BC, but that's just how things were*

For a moment it would seem the Admiral was at a bit of an impasse, with Mastema at his front demanding some sort of tribute for the assistance of his wife's knowledge and Thanatos at his back firing off some weak a** attempt at playing with grown up. A desire to put the boy in his place rose up, even to an artificial intelligence the arrogance of such an insignificant little worm was apparent, but stamped down by not only a direct command from the Primary Mind but from a logic circuit as well that would tell it time and time again that killing Mastema and Thanatos would be a hindrance to the mission's completion. "So, the fact I'm offering to destroy the one being on the planet, or hell even in this universe, that not only wants your wife and children dead, or worse, but has the means to go about doing it, doesn't quite ring up on your payment list than what is it you want, Mastema?" Ignoring Thanatos completely the Admiral remained focus on the Lord of the Citadel. Though he may be Mastema's son, young Thanatos was out of his league when it came to the primary powers of the Black Company. KB, Tegral, and, yes even, Mastema held the majority of the power within the Black Company, however with way you turned it. Xol may have been in control of a small portion of that power, if he hadn't been so thoroughly thrashed by Nana, and Twilight was an idiot who thought he had power though really had none. If any of the three titans willed it the whole of Divanon would be destroyed, and there was nothing anyone, save the other two powers, could do to stop it.
Mastema was losing ground, though it certainly didn't seem that way. Demanding payment, not for his wife but for himself, Mastema appeared to have the Admiral by the ear, but in all actuality the Admiral was maneuvering the Lord of the Citadel. For all his talk of not being a politician he was damned good at negotiating, and chances are Mastema didn't even have a clue what was going on. "All I'm looking for, Mastema," the Admiral said just loud enough for everyone, and that included Nana, to hear, "Is a means to peace. We're both tired of the fighting, and if not you than surely your family is as well as I. I'm willing to take the first step, which I've done by approaching you, and if you're not willing to swallow your stupid pride and open your eyes to one of the only chances at actual peace with me then you've doomed your family to a lifetime of conflict and turmoil." Let the Lord of the Citadel and all those around them let it sink in. Tegral was, at one point, a gentle man with little cares for the workings of other, and would like to go back to that sort of man once more. The Admiral everyone knew, however, was the same one Tegral was more or less warning Mastema about. He would establish himself a base of power, it wasn't hard to accomplish, and he haunt the denizens of the Citadel like a demon in the dark. His children would never know peace, his wife in a state of constant worry and fear. When will the Admiral attack next, how many more will be destroyed by the struggling titan, and how much longer until the children are dragged into the war by their overly expectant father? All avoided if Mastema would bend neck and give an inch of trust.

"ohhhhhhh crap." Twi just muttered to himself when Tegral saw fit to raise his voice, a point which in Twi's book was an early indicator of defeat in an argument. But Mastema and Tegral weren't exactly arguing perse.... just dancing very very close to doing so. Being unable to prob Teg's mind, of course Twi wouldn't have the chance to change Teg's misconceived prejudices, but if the admiral didn't act on them, then there was still hope for the admiral's proposed cause. "Well look on the bright side, at least they want to be nice even if neither will admit it..... I think."
The admiral's low opinion of everyone present and audacity to raise his voice and prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt did make Mastema pity him... or rather his equipment. Having spent the last few years around technology, he'd learned to appreciate it, and here in front of him it was being used for just one of many bodies of a man who didn't have the background to use it properly. "Allow me to escort you back to our main point, Admiral. You've reiterated your wish for peace already; in case you hadn't noticed, we're supposed to be on the next step. I've no pride in the main of my army to top yours, and all that stands between you and me is the skepticism as to your true ability to make peace. For what reason should I wish to ally any part of my faction for the sake of peace with a man who has never so much as demonstrated one act of peace in his life. Your fatigue of war means nothing to me, only your earnest desire for peace. You and I may agree in our goals, but I will have no reason to ally with a man who cannot follow through." Mastema gave a moment of a breather for his wish to sink in. "I'm not demanding proof of your desire so much as proof of your capability. This proof does not even need to relate to the citadel or any of my family in the merest way, even. Do not expect my wish for nonviolence fool into believing I'll take the first olive branch given." Even Mastema wasn't entirely sure what kind of favor it was he was asking for. There was simply something about the admiral which made him believe, despite all of his desire for the warring to end, the admiral was incapable of the peace he sought.
Than was patient, letting Tegral shoot down the chance to solve this argument without needing to raise his voice. The admiral had scoffed at the humble proposal Than was offering, and had made it much more difficult for himself. Than also wondered for a moment how difficult, or rather easy, it would be to replace the admiral and make improvements to his forces. He'd always had a small itching desire to improve the admiral's seemingly long outdated computational ability. There was so much more to be gained from Tegral's technology, but the man didn't have the ability to see that. Deciding those thoughts were for another day in the future, Than turned his attention to a different tragedy, which he found even more disheartening. Here the admiral was, wishing only to learn magic from his mother, for the sake of self protection after leaving his military, yet the best source for him to learn was probably the same person Tegral now had his back to. Nana certainly might have more appreciation for magic, but all of the magic that Tegral wanted to learn was more familiar to Thanatos than to Nana. Perhaps Than would give the Admiral one last chance after he was done talking to Mastema. There was no need to rush judgment, afterall.

The Admiral, his voice still elevated, "Fine then. Nana, I'll give you my surrender." Lowering his voice, the agitation he felt from the Tegral Prime Mind filtering through, he addressed Mastema. "Your wife will hold in her possession a kill switch capable of disabling seventy five percent of my standing army. Will that suffice for your 'proof of capability'? I turn aggressive your wife can murder my army in it's sleep. Thousands of lives gone at the push of a button, who else to entrust it to then the one least likely to push it out of spite?"
Relaying a message to Rookin, the Second Commander literally glaring hatred at the Admiral...right to his face, the Admiral turned a stern look over to Nana. If she agreed to accept the burden of this 'gift' then the Admiral would consider this conversation at a close and move onto the second phase of his plan... "Her choice though. If she agrees then fine, if she doesn't want it then it shall not be."
Rookin turned, and marched away, Kah materializing feet from Nana's back with a rifle attachment graphed into her right arm followed with quicker strides to catch the larger moving male. Whether or not they were ordered to leave or not couldn't be immediately told with any certainly, but they were needed else where.

*Hearing Tegral's proposal, Nana couldn't help but cough, heave slightly and blink in disbelief. Was he serious? Give Nana a kill switch? He must have been insane, there was no other explanation. He was supposedly willing to give Nana a kill switch to destroy 75% of his army, in exchange for her teaching him magic? No, something about all this seemed wrong, it didn't make any sense. Even as a good will gesture, it was far too much, not to mention far too destructive. It didn't sit well with Nana at all, especially mention of mass murder. If the woman had a stomach, no doubt it would be nauseated at the moment. There was an obvious weight on her shoulders with this, that much was easily seen in her face*

If there was one time in this conversation when it would seem the Admiral had clipped Mastema's tongue, now was that time. For a moment Mastema seemed almost taken aback, although only mild surprise showed on his face. Of course, knowing Nana as he did, he knew that offer was going to have consequences Tegral was unaware of, but it was too late to take the man's words back now. For a moment, Mastema couldn't think of a response and was forced to allow Tegral to await a response from Nana.
Twi was obviously able to hear Teg's offer as well, and though he didn't have Mastema's knowledge, he was equally taken aback by the idea that the admiral would put 75% of his army, his living, breathing army, on the line for this simple life he wanted so badly. Insane definitely sounded like a fitting description, but Twilight didn't have time to contemplate the offer for long when Kah went and materialized no more than feet from Nana, Twilight's reflexes put him into action instantly. He instantly ducked, turned, and repositioned himself back to back with Nana and facing Kah's directions, expecting a surprise attack to come at them which he wasn't prepared to defend. Fortunately, instead of making use of her rifle attachment, Kah turned away and started walking. The entire thing lasted no more than a second but Twi still exhaled deeply as if he'd been holding his breath for a whole minute. "DAMMIT! I hate women who appear out of and disappear to no where like it's no one's ******** business!!" Twi's voice was easily loud enough for someone twice as far away as Kah to hear it. Twi already knew the b***h wouldn't respond but it was still bloody annoying.
Having heard the loud shout, and just returning from the last delivery of papers, Val was immediately jogging toward his commander, his armor clanking with his stride quietly. "Sir, what happened? A surprise attack."
Twi turned to Val, at least semi relieved that if anything happened he had a personal juggernaut to help him. "Looks like they were ready for one..... Guess they figured they've got better things to do." Both Twi and Val watched to make sure Rookin and Kah kept going. If Nana recovered soon enough, she would be able to get a good look at the rather tall, yellow and gold clad man whom had been affectionately dubbed 'lugnut' by his commander.
The worst reaction to the offer was Than's by a long shot. Whatever magnitude of feeling Nana felt in the form of nausea was felt by Than in the form of anger. The Admiral would no doubt have the awareness to pick up the vicious spike in energy behind him just moments after he turned to Nana which died down just as fast. "Kisama!" Than shouted at Teg and raised his left arm to point right at the man's head. Whether or not the Admiral gave a damn wasn't even on Than's mind right now, and the Admiral wasn't likely to understand anyway. "Omae ga ore ni kan'ikeibenna kotae wo agerareteru no ni, oretachi wa nanimo hoshikutemo, mada dareka, nanika shinanakattara, sono hou wa dekinai zo!! Hakai shika nanimo wo nashinai!? Omae no ikiru koto no tame ka heiwa no tame de mo, omae ga ureshiku naru you ni dareka kurosarenakereba naranai zo!" Done with his outburst, Tegral would at least gain one thing: Than turned on his heals and walked away from Tegral to clear his head.
If nothing else, Than's outburst have given Mastema time to think and Nana time to reply, if it could be said she did that. "Although I appreciate your directness, I'll say again you have to be agreeable with me before trying to be agreeable to Nana, so I would appreciate it if you could avoid being desperate until you're sure I'll reject your idea. Now, moving on what you just said, I'd like to hear more on what this proposed 'kill switch' will actually do when activated...." He was hoping Nana wouldn't say anything definitive either until it was better explained. Mastema was regretting not just leaving earlier and waiting for the Admiral to contact him through one of the phones first.

"Desperate? Hardly. The kill switch is exactly as it sounds. Almost every unit under my command was at one point alive, and to a very real degree still is. I'm a cyborg, and in order for that statement to be true I need a biological brain, and on a spiritual level a soul. Despite being comprised almost completely of cybernetic enhancements the soldiers of my army are very much alive with their souls intact," Though most of which were blackened by the mass slaughter they'd been ordered to commit throughout the galaxy. "Your wife pushes a button and the neural feedback relays inside each unit is disabled causing them to die a slow, painful, death. With no way to bring oxygen to the brain it will suffocate, with no blood flowing through their neural chambers they would essentially starve themselves to death by lack of nutrition. A fact made known here and now to dissuade her from using the switch preemptively by your's, or any else's, orders."
The Admiral did indeed ignore Thanatos' out burst. Though he couldn't speak the language he knew that Than was somewhat of a Japanese linguist, and while the words alluded him the Admiral could have guessed what the boy was screaming. Likely calling him a monster for putting Nana in such a position, it was a cruel thing to do. Put so much responsibility, so much potential for death and destruction, in the hands of a woman so pure and innocent. Sadly it was the only, apparent, way for Tegral's plans to unfurl in a peaceful manner. He gave Mastema the guarantee he asked for, showed Thanatos the 'good will' gesture by laying open his chest for a killing blow, now all he needed was Nana's consent to begin the training. This particular chassis was fitted with what amounted to an 'aura' canceling device, as well as an Arcane Generator with a reverse feed back circuit that would, when used in conjunction, disable the use of magical and 'aura' based abilities in the domain of it's effective range. Thanatos was no threat.
As for Kah and Rookin? Well they kept right on walking, ignoring the sudden spike of power that rose within Thanatos, ignored the fact the Admiral had given one of their lives up as scape goat to his plans of 'peace'. They knew their ultimate fate. Weapons of war were useless when there was no more war to fight. Rage sweltered inside Rookin's armored shell, hatred festering inside Kah's slumbering powers.
The Admiral's left eye began to twitch suddenly.

*It was a bit much to take, all of it. Nana had no idea what was going on behind her, and Twilight's yelling startled her. Then from the other side was Thanatos, and he was yelling at Tegral. Nana wouldn't even turn in the slightest to look behind her where Twilight and Val were at the moment. It was momentary shock, that much was certain. What on Earth was going on? All for Nana's approval to teach some cybrog magic so he could attempt to kill KB and have his peace? No, those weren't the reasons Nana taught the children magic, and they wouldn't be the reasons she taught Tegral magic, if she decided to do so. All in all, this one night outting... was a little too much for Nana to take. It was full of high tension for most of the guests, then Nana was put on the spot with thousands of lives at stake potentially in her hands, not to mention their potential murders. She just didn't want to deal with it anymore. Gazing down with solemn look on her face, Nana would weigh the events of the evening in her mind. Raising her head slightly, the woman would turn and begin taking one step after another out into the field of flowers, whispering something softly as she walked*
......I'm going home.

"Shouldn't you stay with her, sir?" Val asked Twilight once Nana had gotten some distance, since they seemed to be talking before Teg lost all ground.
"Nah.... Maybe I'll get in touch later but it's not the time for that," Twi grumbled to himself. Nana would be taken care of, he was sure, but he still had a night of work ahead of him. "We'll be heading back once everyone else is gone."
Mastema sighed rather heavily. Tegral's refusal to follow Mastema's simple precautions from the beginning had just lost him more than what he hoped to gain. Too bad really, the Admiral would have been an excellent example of military if only his tongue had the slightest touch of silver, and that's not talking about the metal. "I'm going to give you one last piece of advice for now, Admiral. Shut your mouth for the rest of the night if you don't what to lose all hope for getting your desired life or eliminating KB. Trust me, there's nothing more you can do tonight, so you should just wait and try again another time. And I hope at that time you'll realize it's a good idea to follow my instructions with regards to my wife. Good night, Admiral." With that, Mastema also turned away from the Admiral and started after Nana. No amount of eloquency the Admiral could muster was going to chance the truth of Mastema's statement, and it was in the Admiral's best interest not to pursue at this time. Mastema almost felt sorry for how badly the Admiral's last offer had backfired. "Nana." Mastema called out ahead of him while he was catching up to her, so she would at least realize who was following her.
Twi turned to Than, noticing he wasn't following his parents. "Guessing you didn't like the proposal either from all that yelling. What the hell did you say to him?"
Than shrugged, still looking none too chipper where he was. "Nothing important. Let's just say I was damn right when I thought he wasn't capable of philanthropy or good will of any kind." Than's outburst would have actually happened even if Tegral had said nothing to Nana it all; his offer itself was repulsive under any conditions. All Than had pointed out was Tegral was not capable of good deeds and could only offer to murder or kill something.

*Nana wasn't walking all that fast, so it shouldn't be too hard for Mastema to catch up relatively quick. The aura surrounding Nana now, was obviously not a happy one. It was probably a good idea not to hug her or place a hand on her shoulder at the moment. As for conversation, well she wasn't likely going to be good for that either on the way back home. She was tired, probably needed a good night sleep or two and something pleasant to eat too, though that would have to wait until morning as she didn't have much of an appetite for the moment. Strangly Nana hadn't had anything to drink or eat at the party, though there was pleanty*
